2 Kings 9
1 Now, Elisha the prophet, called one of the sons of the prophets, —and said to him—Gird up thy loins, and take this flask of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead;
Entonces el profeta Eliseo llamó a uno de los hijos de los profetas, y díjole: Ciñe tus lomos, y toma esta alcuza de aceite en tu mano, y vé a Ramot de Galaad.
2 and, when thou art come in thither, then look thee out, there, Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi; and thou shalt enter and get him to rise up out of the midst of his brethren, and take him into an inner chamber;
Y cuando llegares allá, verás allí a Jehú, hijo de Josafat, hijo de Namsí: y entrando haz que se levante de entre sus hermanos, y métele en la recámara.
3 then shalt thou take the flask of oil, and pour out upon his head, and say—Thus, saith Yahweh, I have anointed thee to be king unto Israel! Then shalt thou open the door and flee, and not tarry.
Y toma la alcuza de aceite, y derrámala sobre su cabeza, y dí: Así dijo Jehová: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre Israel. Y abriendo la puerta echa a huir, y no esperes.
4 So the young man went his way—the young man the prophet—unto Ramoth-gilead.
Y el mozo fue, el mozo del profeta, a Ramot de Galaad:
5 And, when he came up, lo! the captains of the force, sitting, and he said—A word, have I, for thee, O captain! And Jehu said—For which, of us all? And he said, —For thee, O captain!
Y como él entró, he aquí los príncipes del ejército, que estaban sentados. Y él dijo: Príncipe, una palabra tengo que decirte. Y Jehú dijo: ¿A cuál de todos nosotros? Y él dijo: A ti, príncipe.
6 Then rose he up and went inside, and poured out the oil upon his head, and said unto him—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, I have anointed thee to be king unto the people of Yahweh, unto Israel;
Y él se levantó, y entróse en casa: y el otro derramó el aceite sobre su cabeza, y díjole: Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel.
7 and thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy lord, —so will I avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Yahweh, at the hand of Jezebel;
Y herirás la casa de Acab tu señor, para que yo vengue las sangres de mis siervos los profetas, y las sangres de todos los siervos de Jehová, de la mano de Jezabel.
8 so shall perish all the house of Ahab, —and I will cut off to Ahab the meanest, both him that is shut up and him that is left at large, in Israel.
Y perecerá toda la casa de Acab, y talaré de Acab todo meante a la pared, así al guardado, como al desamparado en Israel.
9 Yea I will deliver up the house of Ahab, like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat, —and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah:
Y yo pondré la casa de Acab, como la casa de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, y como la casa de Baasa, hijo de Ahías.
10 And, as for Jezebel, the dogs shall eat [her], in the town-land of Jezreel, there being none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.
Y a Jezabel comerán perros en el campo de Jezrael, y no habrá quien la sepulte. Y abrió la puerta, y echó a huir.
11 Then, Jehu, came forth unto the servants of his lord, and one said to him—Is all well? why came this madman unto thee? And he said unto them, Ye, know, the man and his message.
Y salió Jehú a los siervos de su señor, y dijéronle: ¿Hay paz? ¿Para qué entró a ti aquel loco? Y él les dijo: Vosotros conocéis al hombre, y a sus palabras.
12 And they said—False! pray tell, us. And he said, —Thus and thus, spake he unto me, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh, I have anointed thee to be king unto Israel.
Y ellos dijeron: Mentira: decláranoslo ahora. Y él dijo: Así y así me habló, diciendo: Así dijo Jehová: Yo te he ungido por rey sobre Israel.
13 Then hasted they, and took, every man his garment, and put it under him, upon the very steps, —and blew with a horn, and said, Jehu, is king!
Y tomaron de presto cada uno su ropa, y púsola debajo de él en lo más alto de las gradas, y tocaron corneta, y dijeron: Jehú es rey.
14 Thus did Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspire against Joram, —when, Joram, was watching Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.
Así conjuró Jehú, hijo de Josafat, hijo de Namsí, contra Joram, estando Joram guardando a Ramot de Galaad, con todo Israel, por causa de Hazael rey de Siria:
15 But Jehoram the king had returned to get himself healed in Jezreel, of the wounds wherewith the Syrians had wounded him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. Then said Jehu—If such is your mind, let no fugitive get forth out of the city, to go and tell it in Jezreel.
Habiéndose vuelto el rey Joram a Jezrael para curarse de las heridas que los Siros le habían dado, peleando contra Hazael rey de Siria. Y Jehú dijo: Si es vuestra voluntad, ninguno escape de la ciudad, que vaya y dé las nuevas en Jezrael.
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went towards Jezreel, for, Joram, was lying there, —and, Ahaziah king of Judah, had come down to see Joram.
Entonces Jehú cabalgó, y fuése a Jezrael, porque Joram estaba allá enfermo: y Ocozías rey de Judá había descendido allá a visitar a Joram.
17 Now, the watchman, was standing upon the tower, in Jezreel, so he saw the great company of Jehu, when he came, and said—A great company, can I see! Then said Jehoram—Take a horseman and send to meet them, that he may say—Is it peace?
Y el atalaya que estaba en la torre de Jezrael, vio la cuadrilla de Jehú, que venía, y dijo: Yo veo una cuadrilla. Y Joram dijo: Toma uno de a caballo, y envía a reconocerlos, y que les diga, ¿Hay paz?
18 So the horseman went to meet him, and said—Thus, saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said—What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came up to them, but hath not turned back.
Y el de a caballo fue a reconocerlos, y dijo: El rey dice así: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú le dijo: ¿Qué tienes tú que ver con la paz? Vuélvete tras mí. El atalaya dio aviso, diciendo: El mensajero llegó hasta ellos, y no vuelve.
19 Then sent he a second horseman, and he came up to them and said, Thus, saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said—What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.
Y envió otro de a caballo, el cual llegando a ellos dijo: El rey dice así: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú respondió: ¿Qué tienes tú que ver con la paz? Vuélvete tras mí.
20 And the watchman told, saying, He came up to them, but hath not turned back, —and, the driving, is like the driving of Jehu son of Nimshi; for, with mad haste, doth he drive.
El atalaya volvió a decir: También este llegó a ellos, y no vuelve: mas su paso es como el paso de Jehú, hijo de Namsí, porque viene con furia.
21 Then said Jehoram, Harness! So one harnessed his chariot, —and Jehoram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went forth, each man in his chariot, yea they went forth to meet Jehu, and came upon him in the heritage of Naboth the Jezreelite.
Entonces Joram dijo: Unce: y unció su carro, y salieron Joram rey de Israel, y Ocozías rey de Judá, cada uno en su carro, y salieron a encontrar a Jehú, al cual hallaron en la heredad de Nabot de Jezrael.
22 And it came to pass, when Jehoram saw Jehu, that he said—Is it peace, Jehu? And he said—What can be the peace, while thy mother Jezebel’s harlotries and her incantations do so abound?
Y en viendo Joram a Jehú, dijo: ¿Jehú, hay paz? Y él respondió: ¿Qué paz, con las fornicaciones de Jezabel tu madre, y sus muchas hechicerías?
23 Then Jehoram turned his hands, and fled, —and said unto Ahaziah—Treachery! O Ahaziah!
Entonces Joram volviendo la mano huyó, y dijo a Ocozías: Traición, Ocozías.
24 And, Jehu, bent his bow, and smote Jehoram, between his arms, —and the arrow came out at his heart, —and he sank down in his chariot.
Mas Jehú hinchió la mano de su arco, e hirió a Joram entre las espaldas, y la saeta salió por su corazón, y cayó en su carro.
25 Then said he unto Bidkar his officer, Take [him] up, [and] cast him forth, into the field-portion of Naboth the Jezreelite, —for remember, when I and thou were riding as a couple together after Ahab his father, that, Yahweh, laid upon him this doom:
Y dijo a Badacer su capitán: Tómale, y échale a un cabo de la heredad de Nabot de Jezrael: acuérdate que cuando yo y tú ibamos juntos tras Acab su padre, Jehová pronunció esta sentencia sobre él, diciendo:
26 Surely, the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons, have I lately seen, declareth Yahweh, therefore will I requite thee in this portion, declareth Yahweh. Now, therefore, take [him] up, [and] cast him forth into the portion, according to the word of Yahweh.
Que yo ví ayer las sangres de Nabot, y las sangres de sus hijos, dijo Jehová, y que te las tengo de volver en esta heredad, dijo Jehová. Tómale pues ahora, y échale en la heredad, conforme a la palabra de Jehová.
27 And, Ahaziah king of Judah, saw it, and fled by the way of the garden house, —and Jehu pursued him, and said—Him also! smite him in the chariot! It was in the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Mepidgo, and died there.
Y viendo esto Ocozías rey de Judá, huyó por el camino de la casa del huerto: y siguióle Jehú, diciendo: Heríd también a este en el carro a la subida de Gur, junto a Jeblaam. Y él huyó a Mageddo, y murió allá.
28 And his servants conveyed him in a chariot and brought him into Jerusalem, —and buried him in his sepulchre, with his fathers, in the city of David.
Y sus siervos le llevaron sobre un carro a Jerusalem, y allá le sepultaron con sus padres, en su sepulcro, en la ciudad de David.
29 Now it was, in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab, that Ahaziah began to reign over Judah.
En el undécimo año de Joram, hijo de Acab, comenzó a reinar Ocozías sobre Judá.
30 Now, when Jehu entered Jezreel and, Jezebel, heard of it, she set her eyes in stibium, and ornamented her head, and looked forth through the lattice.
Y vino Jehú a Jezrael, y como Jezabel lo oyó, adornó sus ojos con alcohol, y atavió su cabeza, y asomóse por una ventana.
31 So, when, Jehu, had entered in at the gate, she said, Was it peace, when Zimri slew his lord?
Y como Jehú entró por la puerta, ella dijo: ¿Sucedió bien a Zambrí, que mató a su señor?
32 And he lifted up his face unto the lattice, and said—Who, is with me? Who? And there looked out unto him, two or three eunuchs.
Y alzando él su rostro hacia la ventana, dijo: ¿Quién es conmigo? ¿Quién? Y miraron hacia él dos, o tres eunucos.
33 And he said—Hurl her down. And they hurled her down, —and there was sprinkled of her blood—upon the wall, and upon the horses, and they trode upon her.
Y él les dijo: Echádla abajo: y ellos la echaron, y parte de su sangre fue salpicada en la pared, y en los caballos, y él la atropelló.
34 And, when he had entered and eaten and drunk, he said—Look, I pray you, after this accursed woman, and bury her, for the daughter of a king, she is.
Y entró, y comió, y bebió, y dijo: Id ahora a ver aquella maldita, y sepultádla, que al fin es hija de rey.
35 So they went to bury her, —but found not of her—save the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.
Y cuando fueron para sepultarla, no hallaron nada de ella más de la calavera, y los pies, y las palmas de las manos.
36 Then came they back, and told him, and he said—The word of Yahweh, it is, which he spake by the hand of his servant, Elijah the Tishbite, saying—In the town-land of Jezreel, shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel!
Y volvieron, y dijéronselo. Y él dijo: La palabra de Dios es esta, la cual él habló por mano de su siervo Elías Tesbita, diciendo: En la heredad de Jezrael comerán los perros las carnes de Jezabel.
37 So shall the carcass of Jezebel become like heaps of dung on the face of the field, in the town-land of Jezreel: So that they cannot say, This, is Jezebel!
Y el cuerpo de Jezabel fue como estiércol sobre la haz de la tierra, en la heredad de Jezrael: de tal manera que nadie pueda decir, Esta es Jezabel.
