2 Kings 19
1 And it came to pass, when King Hezekiah heard, that he rent his clothes, —and covered himself with sackcloth, and entered the house of Yahweh;
੧ਜਦੋਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਤੱਪੜ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ।
2 and sent Eliakim who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, —unto Isaiah the prophet, son of Amoz;
੨ਅਤੇ ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਨਾ ਮੁਨੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਪੜ ਪੁਆ ਕੇ ਆਮੋਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
3 and they said unto him—Thus, saith Hezekiah, A day of trouble, and rebuke, and reviling, is this day, —for children are come to the birth, and, strength, is there none to bring forth!
੩ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਦੁੱਖ, ਘੁਰਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਬੱਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੰਮਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਜਣਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ।
4 It may be that Yahweh thy God will hear all the words of Rab-shakeh, whom the king of Assyria his lord hath sent, to reproach a Living God, and will rebuke the words, which Yahweh thy God hath heard, —Wherefore lift thou up a prayer, for the remnant that remaineth.
੪ਕੀ ਪਤਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਰਬਸ਼ਾਕੇਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਬਚਿਆਂ-ਖੁਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ।
5 So the servants of King Hezekiah came unto Isaiah.
੫ਸੋ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ।
6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus, shall ye, say, unto your lord, —Thus, saith Yahweh—Be not thou afraid, because of the words which thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have reviled, me:
੬ਅਤੇ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਓ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕਿਆ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਡਰੀਂ।
7 Behold me! about to let go against him, a blast, and, when he heareth the report, then will he return to his own country, —and I will cause him to fall by the sword, in his own land.
੭ਵੇਖ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਰੂਹ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਵਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
8 So Rab-shakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah, —for he had heard that he had broken up from Lachish.
੮ਸੋ ਰਬਸ਼ਾਕੇਹ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਬਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪਾਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲਾਕੀਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
9 And when he heard say of Tirhakah, king of Ethiopia, saying, Lo! he hath come forth to fight with thee, —then he again sent messengers unto Hezekiah, saying—
੯ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤਿਰਹਾਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਵੇਖ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਭੇਜੇ।
10 Thus, shall ye, speak, unto Hezekiah king of Judah, saying—Let not thy God in whom thou art trusting beguile thee, saying, —Jerusalem shall not be given over, into the hand of the king of Assyria.
੧੦ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ ਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
11 Lo! thou thyself, hast heard, what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands, in devoting them to destruction, —and shalt, thou, be delivered?
੧੧ਵੇਖ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਛੁੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ?
12 Did the gods of the nations, deliver them, whom my fathers destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, —and Rezeph, and the sons of Eden, who were in Telassar?
੧੨ਕੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਗੋਜ਼ਾਨ, ਹਾਰਾਨ, ਰਸ਼ਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਤਲਾੱਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਸੀ?
13 Where are the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, —of Hena, and Ivvah?
੧੩ਹਮਾਥ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ, ਅਰਪਾਦ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਰਵਇਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ, ਹੇਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ?
14 And, when Hezekiah had received the letter at the hand of the messengers, and had read it, then went he up to the house of Yahweh, and Hezekiah spread it out before Yahweh.
੧੪ਜਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ, ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
15 And Hezekiah prayed before Yahweh, and said, O Yahweh, God of Israel, inhabiting the cherubim, thou thyself, art GOD, alone, for all the kingdoms of the earth, —thou, didst make the heavens and the earth.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਹੇ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਕਰੂਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਰਾਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
16 Bow down, O Yahweh, thine ear, and hear, Open, O Yahweh, thine eyes, and see, —yea hear thou the words of Sennacherib, who hath sent—To reproach a Living God!
੧੬ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਨ ਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣ! ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ! ਤੂੰ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਖਵਾ ਘੱਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
17 Of a truth, O Yahweh, —the kings of Assyria have devoted to destruction the nations and their lands;
੧੭ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
18 and have put their gods in the fire, —for, no-gods, were, they, but the work of the hands of men—wood and stone, and so they destroyed them.
੧੮ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰੀਗਰੀ, ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
19 Now, therefore, O Yahweh our God, save us we pray thee, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know, that, thou, Yahweh, art God, alone!
੧੯ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ।
20 Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, —Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, What thou hast prayed unto me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.
੨੦ਤਦ ਆਮੋਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
21 This, is the word that Yahweh hath spoken concerning him, —The virgin daughter of Zion, laugheth thee to scorn, mocketh thee, The daughter of Jerusalem, after thee, doth wag her head.
੨੧ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਧੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣਦੀ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
22 Whom, hast thou reproached, and insulted? and, against whom, hast thou lifted high thy voice? yea thou hast proudly raised thine eyes, against the Holy One of Israel.
੨੨ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕਿਆ ਹੈ? ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਉੱਚੀ ਕੀਤੀ? ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਘਮੰਡ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ।
23 Through thy messengers, thou hast reproached My Lord, and hast said—With my multitude of chariots, have I ascended the height of the mountains, the recesses of Lebanon, —and have cut down its tallest cedars, its choicest firs, and have entered the shelter of its summit, its thick garden forests.
੨੩ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਹਲਿਆਂ ਰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਸੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਤੱਕ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਦਿਆਰ, ਤੇ ਵਧੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਸਰੂ ਵੱਢ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਟੀਸੀ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਫਲਦਾਰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਵਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੜਿਆ।
24 I, have digged, and have drunk foreign waters, —and have dried up, with the soles of my feet, all the streams of besieged places.
੨੪ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਪੁੱਟ-ਪੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਪਰਦੇਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
25 Hast thou not heard—that, long ago, that, is what I appointed, and, from days of old, devised it? Now, have I brought it to pass, that thou mightest serve to lay waste, in desolate ruins, fortified cities;
੨੫ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਠਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ? ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ-ਪੁਜਾੜ ਕੇ ਖੰਡਰ ਕਰ ਛੱਡੇਂ।
26 And, their inhabitants, being powerless, were overthrown and put to shame, —they became grass of the field, and young herbage, grass on housetops, and seed withered before it came up.
੨੬ਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਨਿਰਬਲ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ, ਘਬਰਾ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਖੇਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਗ ਪੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਛੱਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਾ ਘਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਨ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਜੋ ਉੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇ।
27 Howbeit, thine abode, and thy coming out and thy going in, I know, —and thy raging against me.
੨੭ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੈਠਣਾ ਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਦਰ-ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਣਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਿਝਣਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
28 Because, thy raging against me, and thy contempt, have come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my ring in thy nose, and my bit in thy lips, and will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
੨੮ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਿਝਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਕੇਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਲਗਾਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਉਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਛਾਹਾਂ ਮੋੜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
29 And, this unto thee, is the sign—Eating, this year, the growth of scattered seeds, and, in the second year, that which groweth after, —then, in the third year, sow ye and reap, plant ye vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof;
੨੯ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਉਹ ਖਾਓ ਜੋ ਕਿਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਗੇ, ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਪਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਦ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੀ ਬੀਜੋ ਤੇ ਵੱਢੋ, ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ਼ ਲਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਖਾਓ।
30 Then shall the escaped of the house of Judah that remain, again—take root downward, and bear fruit upward;
੩੦ਤਦ ਉਹ ਬਚੇ-ਖੁਚੇ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਚ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਫੇਰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਲਣਗੇ।
31 For, out of Jerusalem, shall go forth a remnant, and that which hath escaped—out of Mount Zion, —the jealousy of Yahweh of hosts, will perform this.
੩੧ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਬਕੀਆ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲਣਗੇ। ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਣਖ ਇਹ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
32 Therefore—Thus, saith Yahweh, concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not enter this city, nor shoot there, an arrow, —nor attack it with shield, nor cast up against it, a mound;
੩੨ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕੋਲ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਐਥੇ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਵੇਗਾ। ਨਾ ਢਾਲ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਘੇਰਾ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ।
33 By the way that he cometh in, by the same, shall he return, —and, into this city, shall he not enter, declareth Yahweh!
੩੩ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹ ਉਹ ਆਇਆ ਉਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕੋਲ ਨਾ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
34 Thus will I throw a covering over this city, to save it, —for mine own sake, and for the sake of David my servant.
੩੪ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਭ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ।
35 And it came to pass, during that night, that the messenger of Yahweh went forth, and smote, in the camp of the Assyrians, a hundred and eighty-five thousand. And, when men arose early in the morning, lo! they were all, dead bodies!
੩੫ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸੇ ਰਾਤ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਪਚਾਸੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਲੋਕ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉੱਠੇ, ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਸਨ।
36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria brake up, and went his way, and returned, —and remained in Nineveh.
੩੬ਸੋ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
37 And it came to pass, as he was bowing down in the house of Nisroch his god, that, Adrammelech and Sharezer [his sons], smote him with the sword, howbeit, they, escaped into the land of Ararat, —and Esarhaddon his son, reigned, in his stead.
੩੭ਫੇਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਿਸਰੋਕ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਅਦਰਮਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਸਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਰਾਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਸਰ-ਹੱਦੋਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
