< 2 Kings 16 >

1 In the seventeenth year of Pekah son of Remaliah, began Ahaz son of Jotham king of Judah to reign.
Ehaz nwa Jotam, malitere ịbụ eze Juda nʼafọ nke iri na asaa nke ọchịchị eze Peka nwa Remalaya eze Izrel.
2 Twenty years old, was Ahaz when he began to reign, and, sixteen years, reigned he in Jerusalem. And he did not that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh his God, like David his father;
Ehaz gbara iri afọ abụọ mgbe ọ malitere ịbụ eze. Afọ iri na isii ka ọ chịkwara nʼime Jerusalem, ma o meghị ihe ziri ezi nʼanya Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke ya, dịka nna ya Devid mere.
3 but walked in the way of the kings of Israel, —moreover also, me made, his son, pass through the fire, according to the abominable practices of the nations, whom Yahweh dispossessed from before the sons of Israel;
Ọ gbasoro ụzọ niile nke ndị eze Izrel, ọbụladị i ji nwa ya nwoke chụọ aja nʼọkụ. Ọ gbasoro omenaala niile rụrụ arụ nke ndị mba ọzọ, ndị ahụ Onyenwe anyị chụpụrụ site nʼihu ndị Izrel.
4 and he offered sacrifice and burned incense in the high places, and on the hills, —and under every green tree.
Ọ chụrụ aja surekwaa ihe nsure ọkụ aja na-esi isi ụtọ nʼebe niile dị elu, nʼelu ugwu niile, na nʼokpuru osisi ndụ ọbụla.
5 then, came up Rezin king of Syria, and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to make war, —and they laid siege against Ahaz, but could not overcome [him].
Mgbe ahụ, Rezin eze Aram na Peka nwa Remalaya, eze Izrel rigooro ịga buso Jerusalem agha, gbakwaa Ehaz gburugburu. Ma ha emerighị ya nʼagha.
6 At that time, Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath, to Syria, and wholly cleared out the Jews from Eloth, —and, the Syrians, entered Elath, and have dwelt there, unto this day.
Nʼoge ahụ, Rezin eze Aram dọtaghachiri obodo Elat nye onwe ya, site na ị chụpụ ndị Juda bi nʼElat. Ndị Edọm bara nʼobodo Elat, ha bikwa nʼebe ahụ ruo taa.
7 So Ahaz sent messengers unto Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, Thy servant and thy son, I am, —Come up and save me, out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who are rising up against me.
Ehaz zigara ndị ozi ka ha gaa zie Tiglat-Pilesa, eze ndị Asịrịa ozi, sị ya, “Abụ m ohu gị, onyenwe m ka ị bụ. Bịa napụta m site nʼaka eze ndị Aram na eze ndị Izrel, ndị na-ebuso m agha.”
8 And Ahaz took the silver and the gold that was found in the house of Yahweh, and in the treasuries of the house of the king, —and sent them to the king of Assyria, as a bribe.
Ehaz weere ọlaedo na ọlaọcha ahụtara nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị, na nke dị nʼakụ niile dị nʼụlọeze zigara eze Asịrịa dịka onyinye.
9 So the king of Assyria hearkened unto him, and the king of Assyria came up unto Damascus, and seized it, and carried away the people thereof captive to Kir, —and put Rezin, to death.
Eze ndị Asịrịa ṅara ya ntị site nʼibuso obodo Damaskọs agha na imeri ya. O gburu Rezin, bulaa mmadụ niile bi nʼime ya nʼike ka ha gaa biri nʼobodo Kia.
10 So then King Ahaz went to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, in Damascus, and saw the altar which was in Damascus, —and King Ahaz, sent unto Urijah the priest, a likeness of the altar, and a model thereof, according to all the workmanship thereof;
Mgbe eze Ehaz gara Damaskọs izute Tiglat-Pilesa bụ eze Asịrịa. Ọ hụrụ otu ebe nchụaja nke dị na Damaskọs. O zigaara Ụraya onye nchụaja oyiyi ebe ịchụ aja ahụ. O dekwara ihe gbasara ya nʼakwụkwọ, nke ga-akọwa otu e si ewu ya.
11 and Urijah the priest built an altar, —according to all that King Ahaz sent from Damascus, so, did Urijah the priest make it, by the time King Ahaz came from Damascus.
Ya mere, Ụraya onye nchụaja, wuru ebe ịchụ aja nke dị ka nke ahụ Ehaz hụrụ na Damaskọs. O wuchara ya tupu eze alọta.
12 And, when the king came from Damascus, then the king saw the altar, —so the king drew near unto the altar, and caused offerings to ascend thereupon.
Mgbe eze si Damaskọs lọta na Juda, ọ hụrụ ebe ịchụ aja ahụ, bịaruo ya nso, doo onyinye ịchụ aja ya nʼelu ya.
13 And he made perfume with his ascending-sacrifice, and with his meal-offering, and poured out his drink-offering, —and dashed the blood of the peace-offerings which he had, upon the altar.
Ọ chụrụ aja nsure ọkụ, na aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ, na aja onyinye mkpụrụ ọka. Ọ wụkwasịrị onyinye ihe ọṅụṅụ nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja ahụ, fesakwa ọbara aja udo ya niile nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja ahụ.
14 And, the altar of bronze which was before Yahweh, he brought away from the forefront of the house, from between the altar, and the house of Yahweh, —and put it at the side of the altar northward.
O wepụrụ ebe ịchụ aja bronz nke dị nʼihu Onyenwe anyị, o sitere nʼebe ọ dị nʼihu ụlọnsọ ahụ, nʼetiti ebe ịchụ aja ọhụrụ na ụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị, bute ya nʼakụkụ ugwu nke ebe ịchụ aja ọhụrụ ya.
15 And King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying—Upon the great altar, make thou perfume with the ascending-sacrifice of the morning, and with the meal-offering of the evening, and with the ascending-sacrifice of the king and with his meal-offering, and with the ascending-sacrifice of all the people of the land, and their meal-offering and their drink-offering, and, all the blood of the ascending-offering, and all the blood of the [peace] offering, thereupon, shalt thou dash, —but, the altar of bronze, shall be for me to inquire [into].
Eze Ehaz nyere Ụraya, bụ onyeisi nchụaja iwu, sị, “Ọ bụ nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja ọhụrụ a ka ị ga na-esure aja nsure ọkụ ụtụtụ niile, na onyinye mkpụrụ ọka nke uhuruchi niile, na aja nsure ọkụ eze, na onyinye mkpụrụ ọka nke eze, na aja na onyinye nke ndị niile nʼala a, ya na onyinye mkpụrụ ọka ha niile na onyinye ihe ọṅụṅụ ha niile. Fekwasị ọbara niile e ji chụọ aja nsure ọkụ na aja ndị ọzọ nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja ahụ. Ma ebe ịchụ aja ọla ahụ ga-adịrị m iji jụta ase.”
16 So Urijah the priest did according to all that King Ahaz commanded.
Ụraya onye nchụaja mere ihe niile dịka eze Ehaz nyere ya nʼiwu.
17 And King Ahaz cut off the side walls of the stands, and took away from off them the laver, and, the sea, took he down from off the oxen of bronze, which were under it, —and set it on a pavement of stones.
Eze bụ Ehaz wepụrụ ihe njikọ niile jikọrọ ihe ndọkwasị ahụ niile a na-ebugharị ebugharị. O wepụrụ efere ukwu ịdọba mmiri a dọkwasịrị nʼelu ehi ọla ahụ dị nʼokpuru ya, ma dọkwasị ya nʼelu nkume.
18 Also, the covered walk for the Sabbath, which they had built in the house, and the outer entrance for the king, he changed in the house of Yahweh, —because of the king of Assyria.
Nʼihi imekwa ka obi tọọ eze Asịrịa ụtọ, o wepụrụ ụzọ a na-esite maka ụbọchị izuike nke e wuru nʼime ụlọnsọ, na ụzọ mbata eze si abanye nʼụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị.
19 Now, the rest of the story of Ahaz, what he did, is, it, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Ma banyere ihe ndị ọzọ niile mere nʼoge ọchịchị Ehaz, na ihe ndị o mere, ọ bụ na e deghị ha nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ ihe mere nʼoge ndị eze Juda?
20 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David, —and, Hezekiah his son, reigned, in his stead.
Ehaz soro nna nna ya ha dina nʼọnwụ, e lie ya nʼebe e liri ha nʼobodo Devid. Hezekaya nwa ya ghọrọ eze nʼọnọdụ ya.
