2 Kings 15

1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

Járobeámnak, Izraél királyának huszonhetedik évében király lett Azarja. Amacja fia, Jehúda királya.

2 Sixteen years old, was he when he began to reign, and, fifty-two years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jecholiah, of Jerusalem.

Tizenhat éves volt, mikor király lett és ötvenkét évig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben; anyjának neve pedig Jekhaljáhú Jeruzsálemből.

3 And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, Amaziah his father, had done.

És tette azt, ami helyes az Örökkévaló szemeiben, egészen aszerint, amint tett atyja, Amacjáhú.

4 Only, the high places, took they not away, —still were the people sacrificing and burning incense in the high places.

Csak a magaslatok nem szűntek meg, még áldozott és füstölögtetett a nép a magaslatokon.

5 And Yahweh smote the king, so that he became a leper, until the day of his death, and dwelt in a lazar-house, —and, Jotham, son of the king, was over the house, judging the people of the land.

És sújtotta az Örökkévaló a királyt, és bélpoklos volt halála napjáig és lakott az elzárás házában; Jótám pedig, a király fia, ki a ház fölött volt, törvényt szolgáltatott az ország népének.

6 Now, the rest of the story of Azariah, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah.

Azarjáhú egyéb dolgai pedig és mind az, amit cselekedett, nemde meg vannak írva Jehúda királyai történetének könyvében.

7 And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers, in the city of David, —and, Jotham his son, reigned, in his stead.

És feküdt Azarja ősei mellé és eltemették őt ősei mellé Dávid városában. És király lett helyette fia, Jótám.

8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Zechariah son of Jeroboam to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] six months.

Azarjáhúnak, Jehúda királyának harmincnyolcadik évében király lett Zakarjáhú, Járobeám fia, Izraél fölött Sómrónban hat hónapig.

9 And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, as did his fathers, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

És tette azt, a mi rossz az Örökkévaló szemeiben, amint tettek ősei; nem tért el vétkeitől Járobeámnak, Nebát fiának, aki vétkezésre indította Izraélt.

10 Then conspired against him, Shallum son of Jabesh, and smote him before the people, and slew him, —and reigned in his stead.

Összeesküdött ellene Sallúm, Jábés fia, leütötte őt a nép szeme láttára és megölte őt és király lett helyette.

11 Now, the rest of the story of Zechariah, behold it! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

Zakarja egyéb dolgai pedig, íme meg vannak írva Izraél királyai történetének könyvében.

12 That, was the word of Yahweh, which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons, to four generations, shall sit on the throne of Israel. And it was so!

Ez az Örökkévalónak ama szava, melyet szólt Jéhúhoz, mondván: negyedíziglen ülnek majd a fiaid Izraél trónján. És így lett.

13 Shallum the son of Jabesh, began to reign, in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah, king of Judah, —for the space of a month in Samaria.

Sallúm, Jábés fia, király lett Uzzíjának, Jehúda királyának harminckilencedik évében; és uralkodott egy hónapon át Sómrónban.

14 Then came up Menahem son of Gadi, from Tirzah, and entered Samaria, and smote Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, —and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

Ekkor feljött Menachém, Gádi fia, Tircából, bevonult Sómrónba és megverte Sallúmot, Jábés fiát Sómrónban, megölte őt és király lett helyette.

15 Now, the rest of the story of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

Sallúm egyéb dolgai pedig és összeesküvése, melyet szőtt, íme meg vannak írva Izraél királyai történetének könyvében.

16 Then, Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the boundaries thereof, from Tirzah, because they opened not, therefore he smote them, —all the women therein that were with child, he ripped up.

Akkoriban Tircából megverte Menachém Tifszáchot, meg mind a benne levőket és a határait, mivel nem nyitott kaput, tehát megverte; mind a várandós nőit fölhasította.

17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Menahem son of Gadi to reign over Israel, ten years [reigned he], in Samaria.

Azarjának, Jehúda királyának harminckilencedik évében király lett Menachém, Gádi fia, Izraél fölött tíz évig Sómrónban.

18 And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit, all his days.

És tette azt, ami rossz az Örökkévaló szemeiben, nem tért el vétkeitől Járobeámnak, Nebát fiának, aki vétkezésre indította Izraélt minden napjaiban.

19 Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, so Menahem gave unto Pul, a thousand talents of silver, —that his hands might be with him, to confirm the kingdom, in his hand.

Jött Púl, Assúr királya, az ország ellen és adott Menachém Púlnak ezer kikkár ezüstöt, hogy vele legyen a hatalma arra, hogy kezében megerősítse az uralmat.

20 And Menahem exacted the silver of Israel, of all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Assyria, fifty shekels of silver, of each man, —so the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there, in the land.

Kivetette Menachém az ezüstöt Izraélben, a hadsereg minden vitézére, hogy Assúr királyának adja, ötven sékel ezüstöt mindegyikre; erre visszatért Assúr királya és nem maradt ott az országban.

22 And Menahem slept with his fathers, —and, Pekahiah his son, reigned in his stead.

És feküdt Menachém ősei mellé. Es király lett helyette fia, Pekachja.

23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Pekahiah son of Menahem to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] two years.

Azarjának, Jehúda királyának ötvenedik évében király lett Pekachja, Menachém fia, Izraél fölött Sómrónban két évig.

24 And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

És tette azt, a mi rossz az Örökkévaló szemeiben, nem tért el vétkeitől Járobeámnak, Nebát fiának, aki vétkezésre indította Izraélt.

25 And there conspired against him—Pekah son of Remaliah, a hero of his, and smote him in Samaria, in the citadel of the house of a king, with Argob and with Arieh, and, with him, fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites, —and he slew him, and reigned in his stead.

Összesküdött ellene hadnagya Pékach, Remaljáhú fia, leütötte őt Sómrónban, a király házának palotájában, Argóbbal és Arjével, és vele volt ötven ember a Gileádbeliek közül, megölte és király lett helyette.

26 Now, the rest of the story of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, began Pekah son of Remaliah to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] twenty years.

Azarjának, Jehúda királyának ötvenkettedik évében király lett Pékach, Remaljáhú fia, Izraél fölött Sómrónban húsz évig.

28 And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

És tette azt, ami rossz az Örökkévaló szemeiben, nem tért el vétkeitől Jerobeámnak, Nebát fiának, aki vétkezésre indította Izraélt.

29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, came Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali—and carried them away captive to Assyria.

Pékachnak, Izraél királyának napjaiban jött Tiglát Pilészer, Assúr királya és elfoglalta Ijjónt, Abél-Bét-Máakhát, Jánóáchot, Kédest, Chácórt meg Gileádot és Gálílt, Naftáli egész országát és számkivetésbe vitte Assúrba.

30 And Hoshea son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah, son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, —in the twentieth year of Jotham, son of Uzziah.

Összeesküvést szőtt Hóséá, Éla fia, Pékach, Remaljáhú fia ellen, leütötte és megölte őt és király lett helyette Jótámnak, Uzzíja fiának huszadik évében.

31 Now, the rest of the story of Pekah, and all that he did, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, began Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

Második évében Pékachnak, Remaljáhú fiának, Izraél királyának, király lett Jótám, Uzzíjáhú fia, Jehúda királya.

33 Twenty-five years old, was he, when he began to reign, and, sixteen years, reigned he, in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jerusha, daughter of Zadok.

Huszonöt éves volt, mikor király lett, és tizenhat évig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben: anyja neve pedig Jerúsa, Cádók leánya.

34 And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that Uzziah his father had done.

És tette azt, a mi helyes az Örökkévaló szemeiben, mind a szerint, a mint tett atyja, Uzzíjáhú, úgy tett ő.

35 Only, the high places, took they not away, still were the people offering sacrifice and burning incense in the high places, —he, built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh.

Csak a magaslatok nem szűntek meg; áldozott es füstölögtetett még a nép a magaslatokon. Ő építtette az Örökkévaló házának felső kapuját.

36 Now, the rest of the story of Jotham, what he did, is, it, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

Jótám egyéb dolgai pedig és mind az, a mit tett, nemde meg vannak írva Jehúda királyai történetének könyvében.

37 In those days, began Yahweh to send against Judah, Rezin, king of Syria, —and Pekah son of Remaliah.

Azokban a napokban kezdte az Örökkévaló rábocsátani Jehúdára Recínt, Arám királyát és Pékachot, Remaljáhú fiát.

38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, —and, Ahaz his son, reigned, in his stead.

És feküdt Jótám ősei mellé és eltemették ősei mellé, ősének Dávidnak városában. És király lett helyette fia, Ácház.
