2 Chronicles 4
1 And he made an altar of bronze, twenty cubits, the length thereof, and, twenty cubits, the breadth thereof, —and, ten cubits, the height thereof.
Weiter ließ er einen kupfernen Altar von 20 Ellen Länge, 20 Ellen Breite und 10 Ellen Höhe herstellen. –
2 And he made a molten sea, —ten—by the cubit, from the one brim thereof into the other brim thereof, it was round all about, and, five—by the cubit, was the height thereof, and, a line—of thirty by the cubit, did compass it round about.
Auch fertigte er das aus Erz gegossene Meer an, das von einem Rande bis zum andern zehn Ellen maß, ringsum gerundet und fünf Ellen hoch; eine Schnur von dreißig Ellen war erforderlich, um es ganz zu umspannen.
3 And, the likeness of oxen, was under it round about on every side, encircling it, ten in a cubit, going round the sea, on every side, -two rows of oxen, made in the casting.
Unten an ihm waren Gebilde von wilden Gurken angebracht, die es rings umgaben, je zehn auf die Elle; sie bildeten einen Kranz um das Becken, zwei Reihen Gurken, die gleich bei seinem Guß mitgegossen worden waren.
4 It was standing on twelve oxen, three, looking toward the north, and, three, looking toward the west, and, three, looking toward the south, and, three, looking toward the east, the sea, being upon them above, —and, all their hinder parts, inward.
Es ruhte auf zwölf Rindern, von denen drei nach Norden, drei nach Westen, drei nach Süden und drei nach Osten gewandt waren; das Becken aber lag oben auf ihnen, und die Hinterseite war bei allen Rindern nach innen gekehrt.
5 And, the thickness thereof, was a hand-breadth, and, the brim thereof, was like the brim-work of a cup, with blossoms of lilies, —it could hold [many] baths, three thousand, would it contain.
Die Dicke (der Wand) des Beckens betrug eine Handbreite, und sein Rand war wie ein Becherrand geformt, nach Art einer blühenden Lilie. An Inhalt faßte es dreitausend Bath.
6 And he made ten lavers, and set five on the right hand—and five on the left, to bathe therein, what is offered as an ascending-sacrifice, do they rinse therein, —but, the sea, was, that the priests should bathe therein.
Er ließ auch zehn Becken anfertigen und fünf von ihnen rechts und fünf links aufstellen, damit man Waschungen darin vornähme; man spülte in ihnen die Stücke ab, die zum Brandopfer gehörten; das große Wasserbecken dagegen diente den Priestern für ihre Waschungen. –
7 And he made ten lampstands of gold according to the regulation thereof, —and set in the temple, five, on the right hand, and, five, on the left.
Weiter ließ er die goldenen Leuchter, zehn an der Zahl, so anfertigen, wie es der für sie geltenden Vorschrift entsprach, und stellte sie in den Tempel, fünf auf die rechte und fünf auf die linke Seite. –
8 And he made ten tables, and placed in the temple, five, on the right hand, and, five, on the left, —and he made a hundred tossing bowls of gold.
Weiter ließ er zehn Tische anfertigen und stellte sie im Tempel auf, fünf auf der rechten und fünf auf der linken Seite; auch ließ er hundert goldene Sprengschalen anfertigen. –
9 And he made the court of the priests, and the large enclosure, —and doors to the enclosure, and, the doors thereof, overlaid he with bronze.
Sodann stellte er den Vorhof der Priester und den großen Vorhof her und die Tore für den Vorhof; die dazugehörigen Torflügel überzog er mit Kupfer.
10 And, the sea, he set on the right side of the house, eastward over against the south.
Das große Wasserbecken aber stellte er auf der Südseite (des Tempelhauses) nach Osten zu auf, an der Südostecke des Tempels.
11 And Huram made—the pans, and the shovels, and the tossing bowls, —and Huram finished doing the work, which he did for King Solomon, in the house of God: —
Weiter fertigte Huram die Töpfe, die Schaufeln und die Sprengschalen an und vollendete so die Arbeiten, die er für den König Salomo im Gotteshause herzustellen hatte,
12 two pillars, and the bowls and the capitals on the top of the two pillars, and the two frames of checker work, to cover the two bowls of the capitals, which were on the top of the pillars;
nämlich die zwei Säulen mit den beiden kugelförmigen Knäufen oben auf den Säulen; dazu die zwei Geflechte zur Bekleidung der beiden kugelförmigen Knäufe oben auf den Säulen;
13 and four hundred pomegranates, for the two frames, -two rows of pomegranates, for each frame, for covering the two bowls of the capitals, which were on the face of the pillars;
ferner die vierhundert Granatäpfel für die beiden Flechtwerke; zwei Reihen Granatäpfel für jedes Flechtwerk [zur Bekleidung der beiden kugelförmigen Knäufe oben auf den Säulen].
14 and, the stands, made he, —and, the lavers, made he upon the stands;
Auch fertigte er die (zehn) Gestühle nebst den (zehn) Kesseln auf den Gestühlen an
15 the one sea, —and the twelve oxen under it;
sowie das eine große Wasserbecken mit den zwölf Rindern unter ihm;
16 and, the pans and the shovels and the flesh-hooks, and all the vessels, made Huram his father for King Solomon, for the house of Yahweh, —of burnished bronze,
auch die Töpfe, die Schaufeln und die Gabeln nebst allen anderen Geräten fertigte Huram-Abiw dem König Salomo für den Tempel des HERRN aus geglättetem Kupfer an.
17 In the circuit of the Jordan, did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.
In der Jordanaue hatte der König sie gießen lassen an der Furt von Adama, zwischen Sukkoth und Zereda.
18 So Solomon made all these utensils, in great abundance, —for the weight of the bronze could not be searched out.
Salomo ließ aber alle diese Geräte in sehr großer Anzahl herstellen; denn das Gewicht des Erzes wurde nicht festgestellt.
19 Yea Solomon made all the utensils which were for the house of God, —and the altar of gold, and the tables, whereon was the Presence-bread;
Weiter ließ Salomo alle die (Gold-) Geräte anfertigen, die zum Hause Gottes gehörten, nämlich den vergoldeten Altar und die Tische, auf denen die Schaubrote lagen;
20 and the lamp-holders and their lamps, that they should burn according to the regulation before the shrine, of purified gold;
weiter die Leuchter samt den zugehörigen Lampen, damit sie vorschriftsmäßig vor dem Allerheiligsten angezündet würden, aus gediegenem Golde,
21 and the blossom-work, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold, —the same, was the purest gold;
dazu die Blüten und die Lampen und Lichtscheren aus Gold, und zwar aus lauterem Gold;
22 and the snuffers and the bowls and the spoons and the censers, of purified gold, —and the entrance of the house, the inner doors thereof for the holy of holies, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.
weiter die Messer, Sprengschalen, Schüsseln und Räucherpfannen aus gediegenem Gold. Was schließlich die Türen des Tempels betrifft, so waren die inneren Türflügel am Eingang zum Allerheiligsten sowie die Flügeltüren des Tempelhauses, die in den großen Raum führten, von Gold.
