2 Chronicles 35
1 And Josiah kept, in Jerusalem, a passover unto Yahweh, —and they slaughtered the passover, on the fourteenth of the first month.
Und Josia hielt dem HERRN Passah zu Jerusalem und schlachtete das Passah am vierzehnten Tage des ersten Monden.
2 And he set the priests over their charges, —and encouraged them unto the service of the house of Yahweh;
Und er stellete die Priester in ihre Hut und stärkte sie zu ihrem Amt im Hause des HERRN.
3 and said to the Levites who gave instruction to all Israel as to the things which were hallowed unto Yahweh, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon son of David king of Israel did build, it is not yours as a burden on the shoulder, —Now, serve ye Yahweh your God, and his people Israel;
Und sprach zu den Leviten, die ganz Israel lehreten und dem HERRN geheiliget waren: Tut die heilige Lade ins Haus, das Salomo, der Sohn Davids, der König Israels, gebauet hat. Ihr sollt sie nicht auf den Schultern tragen. So dienet nun dem HERRN, eurem Gott, und seinem Volk Israel.
4 and prepare yourselves by your ancestral houses, according to your courses, —by the writing of David king of Israel, and by what hath been written by Solomon his son;
Und, schicket das Haus eurer Väter in eurer Ordnung, wie sie beschrieben ist von David, dem Könige Israels, und seinem Sohn Salomo.
5 and stand ye in the holy place, by the divisions of the ancestral house, for your brethren, the sons of the people, and the partitioning of an ancestral house, for the Levites.
Und stehet im Heiligtum nach der Ordnung der Väter Häuser unter euren Brüdern, vom Volk geboren, auch die Ordnung der Väter Häuser unter den Leviten.
6 So slaughter ye the passover, —and hallow yourselves, and prepare for your brethren, that they may do according to the word of Yahweh, by the hand of Moses.
Und schlachtet das Passah und heiliget euch; und schicket eure Brüder, daß sie tun nach dem Wort des HERRN durch Mose.
7 And Josiah presented to the sons of the people—of flocks, young sheep and the young of the goats, the whole for the passover offerings, for all present, to the number of thirty thousand, and, of bullocks, three thousand, —these, out of the substance of the king.
Und Josia gab zur Hebe für den gemeinen Mann Lämmer und junge Ziegen (alles zu dem Passah für alle, die vorhanden waren), an der Zahl dreißigtausend, und dreitausend Rinder, und alles von dem Gut des Königs.
8 And, his rulers, willingly, to the people and to the priests and to the Levites, presented, —Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, chief rulers of the house of God, unto the priests, did give, for passover offerings, two thousand and six hundred, and, of bullocks, three hundred;
Seine Fürsten aber gaben zur Hebe freiwillig für das Volk und für die Priester und Leviten (nämlich Hilkia, Sacharja und Jehiel, die Fürsten im Hause Gottes unter den Priestern) zum Passah zweitausend und sechshundert Lämmer und Ziegen, dazu dreihundert Rinder.
9 and, Conaniah, and Shemaiah and Nethanel his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, rulers of the Levites, presented to the Levites, for passover offerings, five thousand, and, of bullocks, five hundred.
Aber Chananja, Semaja, Nethaneel und seine Brüder, Hasabja, Jeiel und Josabad, der Leviten Oberste, gaben zur Hebe den Leviten zum Passah fünftausend Lämmer und Ziegen und dazu fünfhundert Rinder.
10 Thus was the service prepared, —and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the commandment of the king.
Also ward der Gottesdienst beschickt; und die Priester stunden an ihrer Stätte und die Leviten in ihrer Ordnung nach dem Gebot des Königs.
11 So they slaughtered the passover, and the priests dashed [the blood received] at their hand, and the Levites were flaying [the offerings].
Und sie schlachteten das Passah; und die Priester nahmen von ihren Händen und sprengeten, und die Leviten zogen ihnen die Haut ab.
12 Then they removed the ascending-sacrifice, that they might give them—by the divisions of each ancestral house—unto the sons of the people, to offer unto Yahweh, as it is written in the Book of Moses, —and, in like manner, with the bullocks.
Und taten die Brandopfer davon, daß sie es gäben unter die Teile der Väter Häuser in ihrem gemeinen Haufen, dem HERRN zu opfern, wie es geschrieben stehet im Buch Mose. So taten sie mit den Rindern auch.
13 And they cooked the passover with fire, according to the regulation, —but, the hallowed things, cooked they in cauldrons and in pots and in bowls, and then took quickly, unto all the sons of the people.
Und sie kochten das Passah am Feuer, wie sich's gebührt. Aber was geheiliget war, kochten sie in Töpfen, Kesseln und Pfannen; und sie machten's eilend für den gemeinen Haufen.
14 And, afterwards, prepared they for themselves and for the priests, because, the priests, the sons of Aaron, had been engaged in offering up the ascending-sacrifice and the fat pieces, until night, —the Levites, therefore prepared for themselves, and for the priests, the sons of Aaron.
Danach aber bereiteten sie auch für sich und für die Priester. Denn die Priester, die Kinder Aaron, schafften an dem Brandopfer und Fetten bis in die Nacht. Darum mußten die Leviten für sich und für die Priester, die Kinder Aaron, zubereiten.
15 the singers also, the sons of Asaph, were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the seer of the king, and, the doorkeepers, were at the several doors, —there was no need for them to remove from their service, for, their brethren the Levites, prepared for them.
Und die Sänger, die Kinder Assaph, stunden an ihrer Stätte nach dem Gebot Davids und Assaphs und Hemans und Jedithuns, des Schauers des Königs, und die Torhüter an allen Toren, und sie wichen nicht von ihrem Amt, denn die Leviten, ihre Brüder, bereiteten zu für sie.
16 Thus was all the service of Yahweh prepared on that day; to keep the passover, and to offer up the ascending-sacrifice, upon the altar of Yahweh, —according to the commandment of King Josiah.
Also ward beschickt aller Gottesdienst des HERRN des Tages, daß man Passah hielt und Brandopfer tat auf dem Altar des HERRN nach dem Gebot des Königs Josia.
17 So the sons of Israel who were present kept the passover at that time, —and the festival of unleavened cakes, seven days.
Also hielten die Kinder Israel, die vorhanden waren, Passah zu der Zeit und das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sieben Tage.
18 And there had not been kept, a passover like it, in Israel, since the days of Samuel the prophet, —yea, none of the kings of Israel, had kept such a passover as was kept by Josiah and the priests and the Levites and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Es war aber kein Passah gehalten in Israel wie das, von der Zeit an Samuels, des Propheten, und kein König in Israel hatte solch Passah gehalten, wie Josia Passah hielt, und die Priester, Leviten, ganz Juda, und was von Israel vorhanden war, und die Einwohner zu Jerusalem.
19 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah, was kept this passover.
Im achtzehnten Jahr des Königreichs Josias ward dies Passah gehalten.
20 After all this—when Josiah had prepared the house, Neco king of Egypt came up, -to fight against Carchemish, by Euphrates, and Josiah went forth against him.
Nach diesem, da Josia das Haus zugerichtet hatte, zog Necho, der König in Ägypten, herauf, zu streiten wider Karchemis am Phrath. Und Josia zog aus ihm entgegen.
21 But he sent unto him messengers, saying—What have I to do with thee, O king of Judah? not against thee, [have I come] this day, but against the house wherewith I have war, and, God, hath given word to speed me, —cease thou from [provoking] God who is with me, lest he destroy thee.
Aber er sandte Boten zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Was habe ich mit dir zu tun, König Judas? Ich komme jetzt nicht wider dich, sondern ich streite wider ein Haus, und Gott hat gesagt, ich soll eilen. Höre auf von Gott, der mit mir ist, daß er dich nicht verderbe!
22 Howbeit Josiah turned not his face from him, for, to fight against him, he had disguised himself, and he hearkened not unto the words of Neco, from the mouth of God, —so he came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
Aber Josia wendete sein Angesicht nicht von ihm, sondern stellete sich, mit ihm zu streiten, und gehorchte nicht den Worten Nechos aus dem Munde Gottes; und kam, mit ihm zu streiten auf der Ebene bei Megiddo.
23 And the archers shot at King Josiah, —and the king said unto his servants, Take me away, for I am sore wounded.
Aber die Schützen schossen den König Josia. Und der König sprach zu seinen Knechten: Führet mich hinüber, denn ich bin sehr wund.
24 So his servants took him away out of the war-chariot, and conveyed him in a second chariot which he had, and carried him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in the sepulchres of his fathers, —and, all Judah and Jerusalem, were mourning over Josiah.
Und seine Knechte taten ihn von dem Wagen und führeten ihn auf seinem andern Wagen und brachten ihn gen Jerusalem; und er starb und ward begraben unter den Gräbern seiner Väter. Und ganz Juda und Jerusalem trugen Leid um Josia.
25 And Jeremiah chanted a dirge over Josiah, and all the singing men and singing women in their dirges have spoken concerning Josiah, until this day, and they appointed them by statute for Israel, —and, there they are, written among the dirges.
Und Jeremia klagte Josia; und alle Sänger und Sängerinnen redeten ihre Klagelieder über Josia bis auf diesen Tag und machten eine Gewohnheit draus in Israel. Siehe, es ist geschrieben unter den Klageliedern.
26 But, the rest of the story of Josiah, and his lovingkindness, —according to that which is written in the law of Yahweh:
Was aber mehr von Josia zu sagen ist, und seine Barmherzigkeit nach der Schrift im Gesetz des HERRN
27 even his story, first and last, there it is, written in the book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.
und seine Geschichten, beide die ersten und letzten, siehe, das ist geschrieben im Buch der Könige Israels und Judas.
