2 Chronicles 3
1 Then began Solomon, to build the house of Yahweh, in Jerusalem, in Mount Moriah, where he had appeared unto David his father, —in the place which David had prepared, in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
E começou Salomão a edificar a casa do Senhor em Jerusalém, no monte de Moria, onde o Senhor se tinha mostrado a David seu pai, no lugar que David tinha preparado na eira d'Ornan, jebuseu.
2 And he began to build, in the second month, on the second, in the fourth year of his reign.
E começou a edificar no segundo mes, no dia segundo, no ano quarto do seu reinado.
3 And, these, are the things wherein Solomon was grounded for the building of the house of God, —The length, by cubits, in the first measure, was sixty cubits, and, the breadth, twenty cubits.
E estes foram os fundamentos que Salomão pôs para edificar a casa de Deus: o comprimento em côvados, segundo a medida primeira, de sessenta côvados, e a largura de vinte côvados.
4 And, the porch which was in front of the length, in front of the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and, the height thereof, was a hundred and twenty, —and he overlaid it, within, with pure gold.
E o alpendre, que estava na frente, de comprimento segundo a largura da casa, era de vinte côvados, e a altura de cento e vinte: o que dentro cobriu com ouro puro.
5 And, the greater house, covered he with cypress wood, and overlaid it with fine gold, —and raised thereon palms, and wreathed garlands.
E a casa grande cobriu com madeira de faia; e então a cobriu com ouro fino: e fez sobre ela palmas e cadeias.
6 And he covered the house with precious stones, for beauty, —and, the gold, was gold of Parvaim.
Também a casa adornou de pedras preciosas para ornamento: e o ouro era ouro de Parvaim.
7 And he covered the house, the beams, the entrance-hall, and the walls thereof and the doors thereof, with gold, —and he carved cherubim upon the walls.
Também na casa cobriu as traves, os umbrais, e as suas paredes, e as suas portas, com ouro: e lavrou cherubins nas paredes.
8 And he made the most holy house, the length whereof, was, according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and, the breadth thereof, twenty cubits, —and he covered it with fine gold, to [the number of] six hundred talents;
Fez mais a casa da santidade das santidades, cujo comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, era de vinte côvados, e a sua largura de vinte côvados: e cobriu-a de ouro fino, do peso de seiscentos talentos.
9 and, the weight of the nails, amounted to fifty shekels of gold, —and, the upper chambers, covered he with gold.
O peso dos pregos era de cincoênta siclos de ouro: e os cenáculos cobriu de ouro.
10 And he made, in the most holy house, two cherubim, of carved work, —and covered them with gold.
Também fez na casa da santidade das santidades dois cherubins de feição de andantes, e cobriu-os de ouro.
11 And, as for the wings of the cherubim, the length of them, was twenty cubits, —the one wing, by the cubit was five, reaching to the wall of the house, and, the other wing, five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub;
E, quanto às asas dos cherubins, o seu comprimento era de vinte côvados; a aza dum deles de cinco côvados, e tocava na parede da casa; e a outra aza de cinco côvados, e tocava na aza do outro cherubim.
12 and, the wing of the other cherub, was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house, —and, the other wing, was five cubits, cleaving to the wing of the other cherub:
Também a aza do outro cherubim era de cinco côvados, e tocava na parede da casa: era também a outra aza de cinco côvados, e estava pegada à aza do outro cherubim.
13 the wings of these cherubim, outspread, were twenty cubits, —and, they themselves, were standing upon their feet, and, their faces, were inward.
E as asas destes cherubins se estendiam vinte côvados: e estavam postos em pé, e os seus rostos virados para a casa.
14 And he made a vail, of blue and purple, and crimson and byssus cloth, —and raised thereon cherubim.
Também fez o véu de azul, e púrpura, e carmezim, e linho fino: e pôs sobre ele cherubins.
15 And he made, for the front of the house, two pillars, thirty five cubits in length, —and, the capital which was upon the top of each, was five cubits.
Fez também diante da casa duas colunas de trinta e cinco côvados de altura: e o capitel, que estava sobre cada uma, era de cinco côvados.
16 And he made wreathen chains in the shrine, and put them upon the top of the pillars, —and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them in the chains,
Também fez as cadeias, como no oráculo, e as pôs sobre as cabeças das colunas: fez também cem romãs, as quais pôs entre as cadeias.
17 And he reared up the pillars in front of the temple, one, on the right, and, one, on the left, —and called the name of that on the right hand, Jachin, and the name of that on the left, Boaz.
E levantou as colunas diante do templo, uma à direita, e outra à esquerda; e chamou o nome da que estava à direita Jachin, e o nome da que estava à esquerda Boaz.
