< 2 Chronicles 19 >
1 And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned unto his own house in peace, to Jerusalem.
Nígbà tí Jehoṣafati ọba Juda padà ní àlàáfíà sí ilé rẹ̀ ní Jerusalẹmu,
2 And there came out to meet him, Jehu son of Hanani, the seer, who said unto King Jehoshaphat, Unto the lawless, was it [right] to give help? and, on them who hate Yahweh, to bestow thy love? For this cause, therefore, is there wrath against thee, from before Yahweh;
Jehu aríran, ọmọ Hanani jáde lọ láti lọ pàdé rẹ̀, ó sì wí fún ọba pé, “Ṣé ìwọ yóò máa ran ènìyàn búburú lọ́wọ́, kí o sì fẹ́ràn àwọn tí ó kórìíra Olúwa? Nítorí èyí, ìbínú Olúwa wà lórí wa.
3 howbeit, good things, are found with thee, -for that thou hast consumed the Sacred Stems out of the land, and hast fixed thy heart to seek God.
Bí ó ti wù kí ó rí, ohun rere wà nínú rẹ, nítorí tí ìwọ ti mú àwọn ilé àwọn ère òrìṣà Aṣerah kúrò, tí o sì múra ọkàn rẹ láti wá Ọlọ́run.”
4 So Jehoshaphat dwelt in Jerusalem, —and he again went forth among the people, from Beersheba as far as the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back unto Yahweh, the God of their fathers.
Jehoṣafati sì ń gbé ní Jerusalẹmu ó sì jáde lọ padà láàrín àwọn ènìyàn láti Beerṣeba dé òkè ìlú Efraimu, ó sì mú wọn padà sọ́dọ̀ Olúwa Ọlọ́run baba wọn.
5 And he stationed judges in the land, throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city;
Ó sì yan àwọn onídàájọ́ sí ilẹ̀ náà, ní olúkúlùkù ìlú olódi Juda.
6 and said unto the judges, See what, ye, are doing, inasmuch as, not for man, must ye judge, but for Yahweh, —who will be with you, in the word of justice.
Ó sì wí fun wọ́n pé, “Ẹ kíyèsi ohun tí ẹ̀yin ń ṣe, nítorí ìwọ kò ṣe ìdájọ́ fun ènìyàn ṣùgbọ́n fún Olúwa, ẹni tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ ní ìdájọ́.
7 Now, therefore, let the dread of Yahweh be upon you, —observe and do, for there is, with Yahweh our God, neither perversity nor respect of persons nor the taking of bribes.
Nísinsin yìí jẹ́ kí ìbẹ̀rù Olúwa kí ó wá sí ọkàn rẹ̀. Ṣe ìdájọ́ pẹ̀lẹ́pẹ̀lẹ́, nítorí pẹ̀lú Olúwa Ọlọ́run kò sí àìṣedéédéé tàbí ojúsàájú tàbí gbígba àbẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀.”
8 And, even in Jerusalem, did Jehoshaphat station some of the Levites and the priests, and of the ancestral chiefs of Israel, to pronounce the just sentence of Yahweh, and to settle disputes, —when they returned to Jerusalem.
Ní Jerusalẹmu pẹ̀lú, Jehoṣafati yan díẹ̀ lára àwọn Lefi, àwọn àlùfáà àti àwọn olórí ìdílé Israẹli si pípa òfin Olúwa mọ́ àti láti ṣe ìdájọ́. Wọn sì ń gbé ní Jerusalẹmu.
9 And he laid charge upon them, saying, —Thus, shall ye act, in the fear of Yahweh, faithfully and with an undivided heart.
Ó sì kìlọ̀ fún wọn wí pé. “Ìwọ gbọdọ̀ sìn pẹ̀lú òtítọ́ àti pẹ̀lú ọkàn pípé ní ìbẹ̀rù Olúwa.
10 Any dispute that shall come in unto you from among your brethren who are dwelling in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment and statutes and regulations, then shall ye warn them, that they may not become guilty against Yahweh, and so wrath come upon you and upon your brethren, —Thus, shall ye act, and not incur guilt.
Ní gbogbo ẹjọ́ tí ó bá wà níwájú rẹ láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn arákùnrin yín tí ń gbé ìlú wọn bóyá ẹ̀jẹ̀ tí ń sàn tàbí ìyókù òfin pẹ̀lú, pa á láṣẹ ìlànà àti ẹ̀tọ́, ìwọ gbọdọ̀ kìlọ̀ fún wọn láti má ṣe dẹ́ṣẹ̀ sí Olúwa bí bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ́, ìbínú yóò sì wá sórí yín, àti sórí àwọn arákùnrin. Ṣe èyí, ìwọ kì yóò sì jẹ̀bi.
11 And lo! Amariah the chief priest, is over you as to every matter of Yahweh, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael the chief ruler for the house of Judah, as to every matter of the king, and, as officers, the Levites are before you, —Be strong and act, and Yahweh be with the good!
“Amariah àlùfáà ni yóò jẹ́ olórí yín nínú gbogbo ọ̀ràn tí ó jẹ́ ti Olúwa, àti Sebadiah ọmọ Iṣmaeli alákòóso ìdílé Juda, ní yóò jẹ́ olórí ní gbogbo ọ̀rọ̀ tí ọba, àti àwọn ará Lefi pẹ̀lú yin yóò sìn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìjòyè níwájú yín. Ẹ ṣe é pẹ̀lú ìmọ́kànle, Olúwa yóò sì wà pẹ̀lú àwọn tó bá ń ṣe rere.”
