< 2 Chronicles 11 >
1 And when Rehoboam had entered Jerusalem, he called together the house of Judah and Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand chosen men, warriors, —to fight against Israel, to bring back the kingdom to Rehoboam.
Idi nakasangpet ni Rehoboam idiay Jerusalem, inummongna ti balay ni Juda ken Benjamin, 180, 000 a napili a lallaki a soldado, a makigubat iti Israel, tapno maisubli manen ti pagarian kenni Rehoboam.
2 Then came the word of Yahweh, unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying:
Ngem immay ti sao ni Yahweh kenni Semaias, a tao ti Dios, a kunana,
3 Speak unto Rehoboam son of Solomon, king of Judah, —and unto all Israel in Judah and in Benjamin, saying:
“Agsaoka kenni Rehoboam, a putot a lalaki ni Solomon, nga ari ti Juda, ken kadagiti amin a tattao ti Israel idiay Juda ken Benjamin; a kunam,
4 Thus, saith Yahweh, Ye shall not go up neither shall ye fight against your brethren, return every man to his own house, for, from me, hath this thing been brought about. So they hearkened unto the words of Yahweh, and turned back from going against Jeroboam.
'Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: Rumbeng a saanyo a rauten wenno gubaten dagiti kakabsatyo. Rumbeng nga agsubli ti tunggal lalaki iti balayna, ta pagayatak ti napasamak.”' Impangagda ngarud dagiti sasao ni Yahweh ket imbabawida ti panangrautda kenni Jeroboam.
5 And Rehoboam dwelt in Jerusalem, —and built cities for defence, in Judah;
Nagnaed ni Rehoboam idiay Jerusalem ket nangibangon kadagiti siudad idiay Juda a pangsalaknib.
6 yea he built Bethlehem and Etam, and Tekoa;
Binangonna ti Betlehem, Etam, Tekoa,
7 and Beth-zur and Soco, and Adullam;
Bet-zur, Soco, Adullam,
8 and Gath and Mareshah, and Ziph;
Gat, Maresa, Zif,
9 and Adoraim and Lachish, and Azekah;
Adoraim, Lakis, Azeka,
10 and Zorah, and Aijalon and Hebron, which are in Judah and Benjamin, —as fortified cities.
Zora, Aijalon ken Hebron. Dagitoy dagiti nasarikedkedan a siudad idiay Juda ken Benjamin.
11 And he strengthened the fortified places, —and put therein captains, and stores of food, and oil and wine;
Pinalagdana dagiti sarikedked ket nangisaad isuna kadagiti mangidaulo kadagitoy, nga addaan kadagiti abasto a taraon, lana, ken arak.
12 and, in every several city, shields and spears, and made them exceedingly strong, —thus Judah and Benjamin remained his.
Nangikabil isuna kadagiti kalasag ken gayang iti tunggal siudad ken pinatibkerna dagiti siudad. Kukuana ti Juda ken Benjamin.
13 And, the priests and Levites that were in all Israel, took their stand with him, out of all their boundaries.
Napan kenkuana dagiti padi ken Levita nga adda iti entero nga Israel manipud kadagiti beddengda.
14 For the Levites left their pasture lands, and their possessions, and came to Judah, and to Jerusalem, —for Jeroboam and his sons cast them off, from ministering as priests unto Yahweh;
Ta pinanawan dagiti Levita dagiti pagpastoranda ken sanikuada tapno mapanda idiay Juda ken Jerusalem; ta pinagtalaw ida ni Jeroboam ken dagiti putotna a lallaki, tapno saandan a maaramid dagiti pagrebbenganda a kas padi ni Yahweh.
15 and appointed for himself priests for the high places, and for the demons—and for the calves which he had made.
Nangdutok ni Jeroboam kadagiti bukodna a padi nga agserbi kadagiti disso a pagdaydayawan ken kadagiti didiosen a sinan-urbon a baka ken sinan-kalding nga inaramidna.
16 And, after them—out of all the tribes of Israel, such as were setting their heart to seek Yahweh God of Israel, came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto Yahweh, God of their fathers.
Simmurot kadakuada dagiti tattao a nagtaud iti amin a tribu ti Israel, dagiti nangipapuso a mangsapul kenni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel; napanda idiay Jerusalem tapno mangidatagda kenni Yahweh a Dios dagiti kapuonanda.
17 So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and emboldened Rehoboam son of Solomon, for three years, —for they walked in the way of David and Solomon, for three years.
Isu a pinatibkerda ti pagarian ti Juda, ken pinabilegda ni Rehoboam a putot ni Solomon, bayat iti tallo a tawen—ta nagbiagda iti wagas da David ken Solomon iti tallo a tawen.
18 And Rehoboam took him to wife, Mahalath, daughter of Jerimoth, son of David, —and Abihail, daughter of Eliab, son of Jesse;
Inasawa ni Rehoboam ni Mahalat nga anak a babai da Abigail ken Jerimot a putot a lalaki ni David, ni Abigail ti putot a babai ni Eliab, a putot a lalaki ni Jesse.
19 and she bare him sons, —Jeush and Shamariah and Zaham.
Nangipasngay ni Mahalat iti annak a lallaki: Da Jeus, Semarias ken Zaham.
20 And, after her, he took Maacah, daughter of Absolom, —and she bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.
Kalpasan ni Mahalat, inasawa ni Rehoboam ni Maaca a putot a babai ni Absalom; impasngayna da Abias, Attai, Ziza ken Selomit.
21 And Rehoboam loved Maacah daughter of Absolom, above all his wives and his concubines, for, eighteen wives, took he, and sixty concubines, —and begat twenty-eight sons, and sixty daughters.
Ad-adda nga inayat ni Rehoboam ni Maaca a putot a babai ni Absalom ngem kadagiti dadduma nga assawana ken kadagiti kamalalana (nangasawa isuna iti sangapulo ket walo ken innem a pulo ti kamalalana, ken duapulo ket walo ti putotna a lallaki ken innem a pulo a babbai).
22 So then Rehoboam appointed Abijah son of Maacah as head, to be chief ruler among his brethren, —yea that he might make him king.
Dinutokan ni Rehoboam ni Abias nga anak ni Maaca a kas panguloen, a mangidaulo kadagiti kakabsatna; gandatna nga isuna ti isaadna nga ari.
23 So he took heed, and dispersed all his sons throughout all the lands of Judah and Benjamin, unto all the fortified cities, and gave them food in abundance, —and asked a multitude of wives.
Nagturay a sisisirib ni Rehoboam; inwarasna dagiti amin a putotna a lallaki iti entero a daga ti Juda ken Benjamin iti tunggal nasarikedkedan a siudad. Inikkanna pay ida iti nabuslon a taraon ken imbirokanna ida iti adu nga assawa.
