2 Chronicles 10
1 And Rehoboam went to Shechem, —for, to Shechem, had all Israel come, to make him king.
၁ရောဗောင်သည်မိမိအားမင်းမြှောက်ရန် ဣသ ရေလအမျိုးသားတို့စုရုံးလျက်ရှိရာ ရှေခင်မြို့သို့သွား၏။-
2 And it came to pass, when Jeroboam son of Nebat, who was in Egypt-whither he had fled from the face of Solomon the king—heard of it, then returned Jeroboam out of Egypt.
၂ရှောလမုန်၏ဘေးမှလွတ်မြောက်ရန်အီဂျစ် ပြည်သို့ထွက်ပြေးသွားသူ၊ နေဗတ်၏သား ယေရောဗောင်သည်ထိုသတင်းကိုကြား သောအခါမိမိ၏ပြည်သို့ပြန်လာ၏။-
3 And they sent, and called him, so Jeroboam and all Israel came, —and spake unto Rehoboam, saying:
၃ဣသရေလပြည်မြောက်ပိုင်းမှအနွယ်တို့သည် သူ့ကိုခေါ်ပြီးလျှင်ရောဗောင်ထံကိုသွား၍၊-
4 Thy father, made our yoke oppressive, —now, therefore, lighten thou somewhat the oppressive servitude of thy father and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, and we will serve thee.
၄``အရှင်၏ခမည်းတော်သည်အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား ဖိနှိပ်ချုပ်ချယ်ခဲ့ပါ၏။ အကယ်၍အရှင်သည် ယင်းသို့ဖိနှိပ်ချုပ်ချယ်မှုကိုပေါ့ပါးစေလျက် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့နေသာထိုင်သာအောင်ပြုတော် မူလျှင် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်သစ္စာရှိစွာအရှင်၏ အမှုတော်ကိုထမ်းဆောင်ပါမည်'' ဟုလျှောက် ထားကြ၏။
5 And he said unto them, Yet three days, and then return unto me, —and the people departed.
၅ရောဗောင်က``သုံးရက်လွန်ပြီးမှပြန်လာကြ လော့'' ဟုဆို၏။ ထို့ကြောင့်ထိုလူတို့သည်ထွက် ခွာသွားကြ၏။
6 Then King Rehoboam took counsel with the old men who had been standing before Solomon his father, while he yet lived, saying, —How do, ye, counsel to return answer unto this people?
၆ရောဗောင်မင်းသည်ခမည်းတော်ရှောလမုန်၏ အတိုင်ပင်ခံအသက်ကြီးသူအမတ်များ အား``ထိုသူတို့ကိုငါအဘယ်သို့ဖြေကြား ရပါမည်နည်း။ သင်တို့အဘယ်သို့အကြံ ပေးလိုကြပါသနည်း'' ဟုမေးတော်မူ၏။
7 And they spake unto him saying, If thou wilt be kind to this people, and please them, and speak unto them kind words, then will they be thy servants, all the days.
၇အမတ်တို့က``အကယ်၍အရှင်သည်သူတို့ အားကရုဏာပြလျက်နှစ်သက်စေသော စကားဖြင့်ဖြေကြားပါလျှင်သူတို့သည် အရှင်၏အမှုတော်ကိုအစဉ်အမြဲသစ္စာ ရှိစွာထမ်းဆောင်ကြပါလိမ့်မည်'' ဟု လျှောက်ထားကြ၏။
8 But he declined the counsel of the old men, which they gave him, —and took counsel with the young men who had grown up with him, who were standing before him.
၈သို့ရာတွင်ရောဗောင်သည်အသက်ကြီးသူတို့ ၏အကြံကိုလျစ်လူရှုကာမိမိနှင့်အတူ ကြီးပြင်းလာ၍ ယခုအခါမိမိ၏တိုင်ပင် ဖော်တိုင်ပင်ဘက်များဖြစ်လာကြသူလူ ငယ်လူရွယ်များနှင့်တိုင်ပင်၏။-
9 And he said unto them, What do, ye, counsel that we should return as answer, unto this people, —who have spoken unto me saying, Lighten thou somewhat the yoke, which thy father put upon us?
၉သူတို့အားမင်းကြီးက``သင်တို့သည်ငါ့အား အဘယ်သို့အကြံပေးကြပါမည်နည်း။ ဖိနှိပ် ချုပ်ချယ်မှုကိုလျော့ပါးအောင်ပြုလုပ်ပေး ရန်ငါ့ထံပန်ကြားလျှောက်ထားသူတို့အား အဘယ်သို့ဖြေကြားရပါမည်နည်း'' ဟု မေးတော်မူ၏။
10 Then spake with him the young men who had grown up with him, saying, Thus, shalt thou speak unto the people who have spoken unto thee saying, Thy father, made our yoke heavy, Thou, therefore, lighten somewhat our yoke, —Thus, shalt thou say unto them, My little finger, is thicker than my father’s loins;
၁၀ထိုသူငယ်တို့က``အရှင်သည်သူတို့အား`ငါ ၏လက်သန်းသည်ခမည်းတော်၏ခါးပိုင်း ထက်ပို၍တုပ်၏။-
11 Now, therefore, my father, laid upon you a heavy yoke, but, I, will add to your yoke, —My father, chastised you with whips, but, I, with scorpions,
၁၁ငါ့ခမည်းတော်သည်သင်တို့အပေါ်လေးလံ သောထမ်းပိုးကိုတင်၏။ ငါမူကားထိုထက်ပင် ပို၍လေးလံသောထမ်းပိုးကိုတင်အံ့။ သူသည် သင်တို့အားကြိမ်လုံးနှင့်ရိုက်၏။ ငါမူကား ကြာပွတ်နှင့်ရိုက်အံ့' ဟုပြန်ပြောသင့်ပါသည်'' ဟုလျှောက်ကြ၏။
12 So Jeroboam and all the people came unto Rehoboam, on the third day, —as the king spake, saying, Return unto me on the third day.
၁၂မိမိတို့အားရောဗောင်မှာကြားလိုက်သည် အတိုင်းသုံးရက်ကြာသော်ယေရောဗောင်နှင့် ပြည်သူအပေါင်းတို့သည်သူ၏ထံသို့ပြန် လာကြ၏။-
13 And the king answered them harshly, —and King Rehoboam declined the counsel of the old men;
၁၃မင်းကြီးသည်အသက်ကြီးသူတို့၏အကြံ ကိုလျစ်လူရှု၍၊-
14 and spake unto them according to the counsel of the young men, saying, My father, made your yoke heavy, but, I, will add thereunto, —My father, chastised you with whips, But, I, with scorpions.
၁၄လူငယ်တို့အကြံပေးသည့်အတိုင်းပြည်သူ တို့အား``ငါ့ခမည်းတော်သည်သင်တို့အပေါ် လေးလံသောထမ်းပိုးကိုတင်၏။ ငါမူကား ထိုထက်ပင်ပိုလေးလံသောထမ်းပိုးကိုတင် အံ့။ သူသည်သင်တို့အားကြိမ်လုံးနှင့်ရိုက်၏။ ငါမူကားကြာပွတ်နှင့်ရိုက်အံ့'' ဟုခက်ထန် စွာမိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
15 So the king hearkened not unto the people, —for there had come to be a turn from God, to the end Yahweh might establish his word which he had spoken by means of Ahijah the Shilonite, unto Jeroboam, son of Nebat.
၁၅မင်းကြီးသည်ဤသို့ပြည်သူတို့၏စကား ကိုနားမထောင်ဘဲနေခြင်းမှာ ပရောဖက် အဟိယအားဖြင့်နေဗတ်၏သားယေရော ဗောင်အားပေးတော်မူသည့်ဗျာဒိတ်တော် အကောင်အထည်ပေါ်လာစေရန် ထာဝရ အရှင်ဘုရားသခင်အလိုရှိတော်မူသော ကြောင့်ဖြစ်၏။
16 And, when, all Israel, [saw] that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying—What portion have, we, in David, or inheritance in the son of Jesse? Every man, to your homes, O Israel! Now, see to thine own house, O David! And all Israel departed to their homes.
၁၆မိမိတို့၏စကားကို နားထောင်တော့မည်မ ဟုတ်ကြောင်းသိရှိကြသောအခါ လူတို့ သည်``ဒါဝိဒ်နှင့်သူ၏အိမ်ထောင်စုသားထံ မှငါတို့ဝေပုံမရ။ ယေရှဲ၏သား၌ငါတို့ အမွေမခံရ။ အို ဣသရေလပြည်သူတို့၊ ငါတို့နေရပ်သို့ပြန်ကြကုန်အံ့။ ရောဗောင် သည်မိမိအိမ်ထောင်ကိုကြည့်ရှုပါစေ'' ဟုဟစ်အော်ကြကုန်၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ဣသရေလပြည်သူတို့ပုန်ကန်ကြ သဖြင့်၊-
17 But, as for the sons of Israel who were dwelling in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
၁၇ရောဗောင်သည်ယုဒနယ်မြေတွင်နေထိုင်သူတို့ ကိုသာအုပ်စိုးရလေ၏။
18 Then King Rehoboam sent Hadoram, who was over the tribute, and the sons of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. So, King Rehoboam, hasted to mount his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
၁၈ထိုအခါရောဗောင်မင်းသည်ချွေးတပ်တာဝန် ခံအဒေါနိရံအား ဣသရေလပြည်သူတို့ ထံစေလွှတ်တော်မူ၏။ သို့ရာတွင်ဣသရေလ ပြည်သူတို့ကထိုသူအားခဲနှင့်ပေါက်သတ် ကြသဖြင့် ရောဗောင်သည်မိမိရထားပေါ် သို့အဆောတလျင်တက်၍ယေရုရှလင် မြို့သို့ထွက်ပြေးလေ၏။-
19 Thus Israel rebelled against the house of David—unto this day.
၁၉ထိုကြောင့်ထိုကာလမှအစပြု၍ဣသရေလ ပြည်မြောက်ပိုင်းမှပြည်သူတို့သည် ဒါဝိဒ်မင်း ဆက်ကိုယနေ့တိုင်အောင်ပုန်ကန်ကြသတည်း။
