< 1 Timothy 5 >

1 An elderly man, do not thou reprimand, but beseech him, as [though he were thy] father, —younger men, as brothers,
Upa tehseho chu phoh hih-in, napa tobang'in jana neitah'in jolthon, khangdong pasalho chu napenpi nasopitah tobang'in kihoupin,
2 Elderly women, as mothers, younger women, as sisters, in all chastity.
Nupi tehseho chu nanu tobang'in gel inlang, nasanga dongjo numeiho chu napenpi nasopinu tobang'in lungthengtah-in kaihoiyin.
3 Widows, honour thou—who indeed are widows: —
Ajending koimacha neilou meithai hochu jana neitah-in kaihoiyin,
4 Howbeit, if, any widow, hath, children or grandchildren, let them be learning—first, unto their own house, to be shewing reverence, and, returns, to be making unto their progenitors; for, this, is acceptable before God;
Ahinlah chate le tute nei ahiuleh amopohnau masapen chu a-insunga Pathen mikhotona apohdoh dingu, ahinguvah anule apateu phatna ngailutna-a alethuh diu ahi. Hichu Pathen lung lhaina ahi.
5 But, she who is indeed a widow, and is left alone, hath turned her hope towards God, and is giving attendance unto the supplications and the prayers, night and day, —
Amavang leiset chunga ainsungmi umtalou meithai dihtah hochun Pathena akingapnau ngaplhahna aneitheiyun, Pathen in apanpina diuvin sunle jan in ataojingun ahi.
6 Whereas, she that runneth riot, while living, is, dead:
Ahinlah meithai nopsahna hinkhoa kimang chajing hovang ahinlai sunga jong athisa ahiuve.
7 And, these things, be giving in charge, that, without reproach, they may be;
Amaho chu miseiset achanlouna diuva hiche thupeh hohi napeh ding ahi.
8 If, however, anyone, for his own, and specially them of his household, taketh not forethought, his faith, hath he denied, and is worse, than one without faith!
Ahinlah koihileh ama sopite ding khohsahna neilou adeh deh'a ama insung mite ding khohsah louho chun tahsan dihtah chu apaidoh-u ahitan, hitobang ho chu atahsanlouho sanga khohjo ahiuve.
9 Let, a widow, be put on the list—having become, not less than sixty years old, one man’s, wife,
Kithopi dinga amin kikhum meithaiho chu alhompen a kum somgup hiding, ajipa anga kitahna ana neimi hiding ahi.
10 In noble works, being well-attested; —if she hath nourished children, if she hath shewn hospitality, if, saints feet, she hath washed, if, them who were in tribulation, she hath succoured, if, in every good, work she hath followed on:
Amachu achate ahin khoukhahna a athilphabol jeh'a mijouse jana changmi hiding, maljin khoto, tahsan kibahpiho kisunemtah a jenmi hiding, hahsatna tohho kithopi nommi hiding ahi.
11 But, younger widows, decline thou; for, as soon as they wax wanton against the Christ, to marry, are they determined, —
Khangdong meithaiho vang panglou diu ahi, ajeh chu Christa dinga akipehnau sanga atahsau ngaichatna chu hatjoding jineikit nomdiu ahi.
12 Having, as sentence, —that, their first faith, they have set at nought;
Hiche chun kitepna aneisau chu asuhkeh-a themona changdiu ahi.
13 At the same time, to be idlers, are they learning, going about from house to house; and, not only idlers, but, gossips, also, and, busybodies, —saying the things they ought not,
Chuleh amaho chun thaset hinpanuntin intina vahle untin, thuchavai seina'a kipeuvintin, mi natohna-a gakikum lediu chuleh akinlouva thuseina'a gakamjao lediu ahi.
14 I am minded, therefore, that, the younger ones, marry, bear children, be mistress of the house, —giving, no single occasion, unto the opposer, as a cause, of reviling;
Hijeh chun hitobang khangdong meithai hohi ajineikit uva cha aneidiu, inchen akisemdiu kaphatsah ahi. Chutileh melma chun amaho chu aseisetna diu agomkom aneilou diu ahi.
15 For, already, some have turned aside after Satan:
Ajehchu amaho lah a phabep khat hi achelengun, Satan nung ajui tauve tihin eitijat sah'in ahi.
16 If any, believing woman, hath widows, let her be giving them succour, and not suffer the assembly to be burdened, —that, them who are indeed widows, it may itself succour.
Tahsancha numei khat chun sopi meithai aneiya ahileh amaho chu phatah-in kivetsui henlang mopohna houbung chunga ngapdahen. Chutileh houbungin achangseh'a cheng meithaiho phatah-a avetsuithei dingu ahi.
17 Let, the well presiding elders, of double honour, be accounted worthy, especially they who toil in discourse and teaching;
Houbung Upa akin phatah-a tongho adehset athupha lhangsapna le thuhilna-a hapanho chu jana pehding chuleh atohman jong phatah a pehding ahi.
18 For the scripture saith—A threshing ox, shalt thou not muzzle, and—Worthy, is the workman, of his hire.
Ajehchu Pathen thun, “Bongchal changchila chu amuh kikan hihhen chujongleh natonga chu atohman asanding lomtah ahi,” ati.
19 Against an elder, entertain not, an accusation, except at, [the mouth of] two, or three, witnesses;
Houbung lhacha khat chunga hehna aumleh hettohsah mini, mithum aumlouleh lahih in.
20 But, them who are sinning, before all, do thou reprove, that, the rest also, may have, fear: —
Adanghon kichatna aneitheina dingin achonseho chu mipi angsunga sosal'in.
21 I adjure thee, before God, and Christ Jesus, and the chosen messengers, that, these things, thou observe, apart from prejudgment, doing, nothing, by partiality.
Pathen leh Yeshua Christa chuleh vantil sangpen ho mitmua hiche thuhi kapeh nahi, hiche thupeh hohi langnei naleh sihneina koimacha koma neilouvin mangchan.
22 Hands, suddenly, upon no one, lay, neither have fellowship with sins of strangers: thyself, keep, chaste: —
Houbung sunga Pakai lhacha napansah ding tengleh kino hihbeh in. Midang chonsetna-a kinunat hih-in, nangle nang kisuthengin.
23 No longer, be a water-drinker, but, of a little wine, make use, because of thy stomach and thy, frequent, sicknesses.
Tuisih jengseh donhih in, naveiset jeh leh nagilpi damlouna jeh in lengpitwi themkhat khat anamang jitan.
24 Some men’s sins, are, openly evident, leading on into judgment, with some, however, they even follow after;
Miphabep chonsetna hi mijouse het in akilangin, suhdihthei ahi. Ahinla miphabep chonsetna hi khonungle bou hung kilang ding loi aume ti sumil hih in.
25 In the same way, the noble works also, are openly evident, —and, they that are otherwise, cannot be hid.
Chutobang chun miphabep thilpha bol hi mipi het in akilangdoh theiyin, chuleh miphabep in thilpha abol hi phatkhat lebou hung kilang doh ding ahi.
