< 1 Samuel 3 >

1 Now, the boy Samuel, was ministering unto Yahweh, before Eli, —and, the word of Yahweh, had become rare in those days, there was no well-known vision.
Hitichun, Chapangpa Samuel chun Eli thempu noiya lhacha na atong jing in ahi. Hiche nikho phatlai chun Pakaiya kona thu hung kiphong chu ahahlheh jeng tai, chule themgao mu nei’ah a jongaum vah vah tapon ahi.
2 But it came to pass, at that time, when Eli was lying down in his place, his eyes, having begun to be dim, he could not see,
Eli thempu in kho amuthei beh talou ahin, jankhat hi alupna ah aimutan ahi chule Samuel jong chu aimutan ahi.
3 though, the lamp of God, was not yet to be put out, and, Samuel, was lying down in the temple of Yahweh, where was the ark of God,
Pathen thaomei kide jong chu kisumit loulai ahin, Samuel vang chu ponbuh sunga aimutan ahi. Alupna chu Pathen thingkong komtah ahi.
4 that Yahweh called unto Samuel, and he said—Behold me!
Photlot louvin Pakaiyin, “Samuel” tin ahin koutan ahile, “Hoiyo, Ipi thu hitam?” tin ana donbut in ahi.
5 So he ran unto Eli and said—Behold me! for thou calledst me. And he said—I called not, return—Its down. So he went, and lie down.
Ama athoudoh in Eli komlang ah alhaiyin, “Hiche ah kaume neikouvem?” aga tin ahile, Eli thempu jong, “Kakoupoi, nalupna ah chekit tan,” tin adonbut’in ahile amajong achekit tai.
6 And again Yahweh called once there—Samuel! Then rose Samuel, and went unto Eli, and said—Behold me! for thou calledst me. And he said—I called not, my son, return—lie down.
Hichun Pakaiyin Samuel chu, “Samuel” tin ahin koukittai. Samuel jong athoudoh kit in Eli koma achekit in, “Hiche ah kaume neikouvem?” agatin ahi. Eli in jong hitin asei kit in, “Chapa kakoupoi, nalupna che kittan,” ati.
7 Now, Samuel, as yet knew not Yahweh, —nor, as yet, had been revealed unto him, the word of Yahweh.
Samuel in Pakai ahi ding chu ahetlou ahi ajeh chu hitobang Pakai kouna chu anajah khah loulai ahi.
8 And again Yahweh called—Samuel! a third time. Then he arose, and went unto Eli, and said—Behold me! for thou calledst me. Then did Eli perceive, that, Yahweh, was calling the boy.
Chuin Pakaiyin thumvei channan ahinkou kit in, Samuel athou doh in Eli thempu chu aga dong kit in, “Hiche ah kaume neikou vem?” ati. Chuin Eli in Pakai kouna ahiding kichen tah in ahetai.
9 So Eli said to Samuel—Go, lie down, and it shall be, if he call unto thee, that thou shalt say—Speak, Yahweh, for thy servant is listening. And Samuel went, and lay down in his place.
Chuin Samuel jah ah hitin aseipeh in, “Galum kit inlang, ijem tia nahung kikou kit’a ahileh, ‘Pakai seijin nalhachapa keiman kangaiye’” tin aseipeh tai, hichun Samuel jong ajalkhun lam ah akile kittai.
10 Then came Yahweh, and stood, and called as time after time—Samuel! Samuel! And Samuel said, Speak, for thy servant is listening.
Chule Samuel henga Pakai ahung in, “Samuel! Samuel!” tin akouvin ahile, Samuel in, “Seijin nalhacha pa keiman kangaiye,” tin adonbut tan ahi.
11 And Yahweh said unto Samuel, Lo! I am doing a thing, in Israel, —at which both ears of everyone that heareth it shall tingle.
Chuin Pakaiyin Samuel koma, “Ven keiman Israel sunga thil khat kabol ding, ahin hichun aja jouse nakhang asut ding ahi.
12 In that day, will I confirm against Eli, all that I have spoken against his house, —beginning and finishing.
Hiche nikho chule Eli insung douna a kasei jouse chu abulla kipat’a achaina geiya kaguilhun sah soh kei ding ahi.
13 Therefore do I tell him, that I am about to judge his house unto times age-abiding, for the iniquity which he knoweth, in that his sons are cursing God, and he hath not rebuked them.
Keiman thutan nahi amale ainsung mite chunga thu katan ding ahi, tithu thu kapeh ahitai, hichu aimatih chana ding ahi, ajeh chu acha tenin Pathen ataitom lhon in, chule aman jong gihsalna aneipon ahi.
14 And therefore have I sworn, respecting the house of Eli, —that the iniquity of the house of Eli shall receive no propitiatory-covering, by sacrifice or by present, unto times age-abiding.
Hijeh chun keiman Eli le achateni chonsetna chu kangaidam lou ding, kilhai nale pumgo thilto ho a kisucham joulou ding ahitai,” ati.
15 And Samuel lay until the morning, and rose early in the morning, and opened the doors of the house of Yahweh, —but, Samuel, feared to tell the appearing, unto Eli.
Samuel alupna ah jingkah changeiyin aumdentai, Chuin ponbuh sunga konin ahung thoudoh in kot ahin hongdoh in, athujah ho seidoh ding akicha behseh in ahi. Pakai thusei chengho seidoh ding chu hahsa asa lheh in ahi.
16 So Eli called Samuel, and said—Samuel! my son. And he said—Behold me!
Ahinlah Eli in akouvin, “Kacha Samuel,” tia agah kouleh, “Kei hicheah kaumnai,” tin Samuel in adonbut in ahi.
17 And he said—What is the word, which he spake unto thee? I pray thee, do not hide it from me. So, let God do to thee, and, so, let him add, if thou hide from me a word, out of anything which he hath spoken unto thee.
“Pakaiyin nakoma ipi asei em? Abonchan imchah umlouvin neiseipeh in, ijem tia naim a naseidoh louva ahile Pathen mi jepna lePathen a kona thina nachunga chu mai tahen,” ati.
18 So Samuel told him all the words, and hid nothing from him. And he said, Yahweh, he is; what is good in his own eyes, let him do.
Chuin Samuel in Eli koma abonchan aseipeh sohkei tai, imacha aseidoh lou aumtapoi. Hichun Eli thempun jong, “Hiche hi Pathen phatsah ahi,” tin aphongdoh in ahi.
19 And Samuel grew, —and, Yahweh, proved to he with him, and let none of all his words fall to the ground.

20 So all Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, came to know, —that Samuel had become confirmed as a prophet unto Yahweh.
Chule Israel mipite jouse, Dan a kipat chunglam Beersheba chengeijin ahen, Samuel Pathen themgao ahitai ti suhdet ahitai.
21 Thus did Yahweh again appear in Shiloh, —for Yahweh had revealed himself unto Samuel in Shiloh, in the word of Yahweh.
