1 Samuel 23
1 Then told they David, saying, —Lo! the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and they are plundering the threshing-floors.
Oni raportis al David la sciigon: Jen la Filiŝtoj militas kontraŭ Keila kaj prirabas la draŝejojn.
2 So David enquired of Yahweh, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And Yahweh said unto David—Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah.
Tiam David demandis la Eternulon, dirante: Ĉu mi iru kaj frapu tiujn Filiŝtojn? Kaj la Eternulo diris al David: Iru kaj frapu la Filiŝtojn, kaj savu Keilan.
3 But the men of David said unto him, Lo! we, here, in Judah, are afraid, —how much more, then, if we go to Keilah, against the ranks of the Philistines?
Sed la viroj de David diris al li: Jen ĉi tie en Judujo ni timas; kiel do estos, kiam ni iros al Keila, al la taĉmentoj de la Filiŝtoj?
4 So David yet again enquired if Yahweh, and Yahweh answered him, —and said—Arise, go down to Keilah, for I am about to deliver the Philistines into thy hand.
Tiam David denove demandis la Eternulon, kaj la Eternulo respondis al li, dirante: Leviĝu, iru al Keila, ĉar Mi transdonos la Filiŝtojn en viajn manojn.
5 David therefore went, with his men, to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and drave forth their cattle, and smote them, with a great smiting, so David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
Kaj David kun siaj viroj iris al Keila kaj batalis kontraŭ la Filiŝtoj kaj forpelis iliajn brutojn kaj frapis ilin per granda frapo; tiamaniere David savis la loĝantojn de Keila.
6 Now it came to pass, when Abiathar, son of Ahimelech, fled unto David to Keilah, that he came down with, an ephod, in his hand.
Kiam Ebjatar, filo de Aĥimeleĥ, forkuris al David en Keilan, li kunportis kun si efodon.
7 And, when it was told Saul that David had entered Keilah, Saul said—God hath given him over into my hand, for he hath shut himself in by entering into a city with folding doors and bar.
Oni raportis al Saul, ke David venis en Keilan. Tiam Saul diris: Dio transdonis lin en mian manon, ĉar li estas enŝlosita, enirinte en urbon, kiu havas pordojn kaj riglilojn.
8 So Saul summoned all the people to war, —to go down to Keilah, to besiege David, and his men.
Kaj Saul kunvokigis la tutan popolon por milito, por iri al Keila, por sieĝi Davidon kaj liajn virojn.
9 And David ascertained that, against him, Saul was contriving mischief, —so he said unto Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.
Kiam David eksciis, ke Saul intencas malbonon kontraŭ li, li diris al la pastro Ebjatar: Donu la efodon.
10 Then said David: O Yahweh, God of Israel, thy servant, hath heard, that Saul is seeking to come unto Keilah, —to destroy the city, for my sake:
Kaj David diris: Ho Eternulo, Dio de Izrael, Via sklavo aŭdis, ke Saul intencas veni al Keila, por pereigi la urbon pro mi.
11 Will the owners of Keilah surrender me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O Yahweh, God of Israel, I pray thee, tell thy servant. And Yahweh said—He will come down.
Ĉu transdonos min la loĝantoj de Keila en lian manon? ĉu venos ĉi tien Saul, kiel aŭdis Via sklavo? Ho Eternulo, Dio de Izrael, diru tion al Via sklavo! Kaj la Eternulo diris: Li venos.
12 Then said David, Will the owners of Keilah surrender me and my men, into the hand of Saul? And Yahweh said—They will surrender.
Kaj David diris: Ĉu la loĝantoj de Keila transdonos min kaj miajn homojn en la manon de Saul? Kaj la Eternulo diris: Ili transdonos.
13 Then arose David and his men, about six hundred, and went forth out of Keilah, and went to and fro, whithersoever they could, —and, unto Saul, it was told that David had escaped out of Keilah, so he forbare to go forth.
Tiam leviĝis David kun siaj viroj, ĉirkaŭ sescent homoj, kaj eliris el Keila, kaj iris, kien ili povis iri. Kaj al Saul oni raportis, ke David foriĝis el Keila, kaj tial li decidis ne eliri.
14 Then David abode in the wilderness, in the fortresses, and he abode in the hill country, in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him continually, but God delivered him not into his hand.
Sed David restis en la dezerto en nealirebla loko, kaj li restis sur la monto en la dezerto Zif. Saul ĉiam serĉis lin, sed Dio ne transdonis lin en lian manon.
15 Then David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life, David, being in the wilderness of Ziph, in the thicket.
David vidis, ke Saul eliris, por serĉi lian animon; kaj David estis en la dezerto Zif, inter arbetaĵoj.
16 So Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose and went unto David in the thicket, —and strengthened his hand in God;
Kaj leviĝis Jonatan, filo de Saul, kaj iris al David en la arbetaĵojn, kaj kuraĝigis lin per la nomo de Dio,
17 and said unto him, —Do not fear, for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee, but, thou, shalt become king over Israel, and, I, shall be, next, unto thee, yea and, Saul my father, knoweth this.
kaj diris al li: Ne timu, ĉar ne atingos vin la mano de mia patro Saul; kaj vi reĝos super Izrael, kaj mi estos la dua post vi, kaj eĉ mia patro Saul tion bone scias.
18 And they two solemnised a covenant before Yahweh, —and David remained in the thicket, but, Jonathan, departed to his own house.
Kaj ili ambaŭ faris interligon antaŭ la Eternulo; kaj David restis en la arbetaĵaro, kaj Jonatan iris al sia domo.
19 Then came up the Ziphites unto Saul in Gibeah, saying, —Is not David hiding himself with us, in the strongholds in the thicket, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the right of Jeshimon?
Dume Zifanoj venis al Saul en Gibean, kaj diris: David sin kaŝas ĉe ni en nealirebla loko, inter arbetaĵoj, sur la monteto Ĥaĥila, kiu estas sude de la dezerto;
20 Now, therefore, according to all the desire of thy soul O king, to come down, come! and, ours, [will it be] to surrender him into the hand of the king.
kaj nun laŭ la tuta deziro de via koro, ho reĝo, iru tien, kaj ni transdonos lin en la manon de la reĝo.
21 Then said Saul, Blessed, be ye, of Yahweh, —because ye have taken pity upon me.
Kaj Saul diris: La Eternulo benu vin pro tio, ke vi kompatis min.
22 Go, I pray you, make ready yet further, and get to know and see his place, where may be his track, who hath seen him there, —for it hath been said unto me, Cunning indeed, is, he!
Iru, mi petas, informiĝu ankoraŭ, kaj ekkonu kaj rigardu lian lokon, kie paŝas lia piedo, kaj kiu lin tie vidis; ĉar oni diris al mi, ke li estas tre ruza.
23 See, then, and get to know—of all the hiding places, where he hideth himself, and return unto me, for certainty, then will I go with you, —and it shall be, if he is in the land, that I will search him out, through all the thousands of Judah.
Kaj rigardu kaj eksciu ĉiujn kaŝejojn, kie li sin kaŝas, kaj revenu al mi kun certeco, kaj tiam mi iros kun vi. Se li troviĝas en la lando, mi serĉos lin en ĉiuj milejoj de Jehuda.
24 So they arose and departed to Ziph, before Saul, —but, David and his men, were in the wilderness of Maon, in the Arabah, to the right of Jeshimon.
Ili leviĝis kaj iris en Zifon antaŭ Saul. Sed David kaj liaj homoj estis en la dezerto Maon, sur la ebenaĵo sude de la dezerto.
25 Then Saul and his men departed, to seek [him]; but it had been told David, and he had gone down the cliff, and taken up his abode in the wilderness of Maon, —and when Saul had, heard it, he pursued David in the wilderness of Maon.
Kiam Saul kun siaj homoj iris, por serĉi, oni sciigis Davidon, kaj li malsupreniris al la roko kaj restis en la dezerto Maon. Kaj kiam Saul aŭdis tion, li postkuris Davidon en la dezerto Maon.
26 And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and, David and his men, on that side of the mountain, —wherefore David became hurried, to get away from the presence of Saul, but, Saul and his men, were surrounding David and his men, to capture then:
Saul iris sur unu flanko de la monto, kaj David kun siaj homoj sur la dua flanko. David rapidis foriri de Saul, kaj Saul kun siaj homoj penis ĉirkaŭi Davidon kaj liajn homojn, por kapti ilin.
27 when, a messenger, came unto Saul, saying, —Haste thee and come! for the Philistines have spread over the land.
Sed venis sendito al Saul, kaj diris: Rapide iru, ĉar la Filiŝtoj atakis la landon.
28 Then returned Saul from pursuing David, and departed to meet the Philistines, —for which cause, they called that place Sela-hammahlekoth ["the Cliff of Separation"].
Tiam Saul ĉesis postkuri Davidon, kaj iris kontraŭ la Filiŝtojn; tial oni donis al tiu loko la nomon Roko de Disiĝo.
29 And David went up from thence, —and abode in the strongholds of En-gedi.
Kaj David leviĝis de tie, kaj ekloĝis sur nealirebla loko de En-Gedi.
