1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, unto the chosen pilgrims of the dispersion, throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, —

2 [Chosen] according to the fore-knowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of Spirit, unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, Favour unto you, and peace, be multiplied!
Jesuh Khritaw läklam lü a thisen am ning jah ngcimsak se, a Ngmüimkhya Ngcim am khyang ngcima ning jah pyang lü Pa Pamhnama hlüeia a ning jah xü pänga nami kyaki. Bäkhäknak ja dimdeihnak cun nami khana hläipyam lü ve se.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to his great mercy, hath regenerated us unto a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,

4 Unto an inheritance, incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you
Pamhnam naw a khyanga phäh a jah cüm peta dawkyanak kümcei cun kanak khaia ma da kami tengki. Ani naw acune cun käh thuuih cimpye khyükhleih thei khaia khankhawa a ning jah tak pet ni.
5 who, in God’s power, are being guarded through faith unto salvation—ready to be revealed in the last ripe time:
Acun he cun: akpäihnaka khawmhnüp üng mdan vaia küikyannak, Pamhnama johit am ami jumeinak üngkhyüh jah thupa khyangea phäh jah tak pet ni.
6 Wherein ye exult, though, for a little, just now, if needful, put to grief in manifold temptations,
Acuna phäh nami jekyaikie. Cunüngpi, khuikhanak mjüküm nami khameia phäh atuh hin asängca nami pukset vai hlü taw khai.
7 In order that the proving of your faith—much more precious than of gold that perisheth even though, by means of fire, it is proved—may be found unto praise and glory and honour in the revealing of Jesus Christ, —
Acun cun nami jumeinak hin cangki aw tia ami mhnütnak hlüa phäh ni. Pyüpye theikia xüi pi mei üng mhnüta kyaki. Acuna kthaka daw bawk lü am pyüpye theikia nami jumeinak pi mhnüt yah vai. Acunüng Jesuh Khritaw a law bea Mhnüp üng hlüngtainak, mhlünmtainak ja leisawngnak nami yah khai.
8 Whom, not having seen, ye love, on whom, though at present not looking, but believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and filled with glory,
Ani cun am hmu khawi kyaw uki lüpi, nami mhläkphyanaki. Atuh hin am hmu kyaw uki lüpi, nami jumeiki. Mpyawng üng am pyen theia jekyainak k’hlüngtai am nami jekyaiki.
9 Being about to bear away the end of your faith—a salvation of souls:
Isenitiüng ta, ani nami jumeinak üng nami büa nami ngmüimkhya küikyannak nami yaha phäh ni.
10 Concerning which salvation, prophets—who concerning the favour for you, did prophesy—sought out and searched out,
Pamhnam naw ahina küikyannak a ning jah pet vai cun sahma he naw angsingtea mcek lü suihjap lü ana pyen pängki he.
11 Searching into what particular, or what manner, of season the Spirit of Christ which was in them was pointing to, when witnessing beforehand as to—The sufferings, for Christ, and the glories, after these, —
Khritawa Ngmüimkhya cun ami k’uma ve lü Khritawa khamei vaia khuikhanaka suilam ja hlüngtainak a yah vai cun jah mhnüh lü ana pyenki. Acunakyase, Khritaw cun ihawkba law be khai, itia law be khai ti cun suihjapkie.
12 Unto whom it was revealed—that, Not unto themselves, but unto us, they were ministering them, which things have, now, been announced unto you through them who have told you the good tidings with Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven: into which things messengers are coveting to obtain a nearer view.
Pamhnam naw sahma he naw ami khut bi cen amimäta phäh am ni. Nangmia phäh ni tia khankhaw üngka naw jah tüih lawa ngsäe, Ngmüimkhya Ngcima johit am Thangkdaw sangkie, naw ami pyen cen nami ngjakie. Ahina mawnge ni khankhawngsäe naw pi ngjakkya vai ami ngaih.
13 Wherefore, girding up the loins of your mind, keeping sober, perseveringly direct your hope unto the favour, being borne along to you, in the revealing of Jesus Christ:
Acunakyase, khut bi am nami mdan vaia nami mlung pitpyang ua. Jesuh Khritaw a ngdang law be üng, ning jah pet vai dawkyanaka khana nami äpeinak kümcei cun ta lü thüxak lü a na ngcüngcei ua.
14 As obedient persons, not configuring yourselves unto your former covetings in your ignorance:
Pamhnama ngthu läklam ua. Mawngcei lü nami ve ham üng, am dawkyakia nami xüngseia mäiha, nami xünsak käh ning jah up be ti kawm.
15 But, according as he that hath called you is holy, do, ye yourselves, also become, holy in all manner of behaviour, —
Acuna kthaka ta, ning jah khükia Pamhnam a ngcingcaih mäih kunga kba nami bilawh naküt üng ngcingcaih lü ve ua.
16 Inasmuch as it is written—Holy shall ye be, because, I, am holy.
Cangcim üng, “Kei ka ngcingcaihkia kyase ngcingcaih ua” ti lü a pyen.
17 And, if, as Father, ye are invoking him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to each man’s work, with reverence, for the time of your sojourning, behave ye;
Hmai käh teng lü khyang naküt a pawha kba angteha ngthu mtaiki Pamhnama veia nami ktaiyü üng, ka Pa nami tiki. Acunakyase, khawmdek khana nami xün k’um üng ani leisawng lü ve ua.
18 Knowing that, Not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, have ye been redeemed from your unmeaning behaviour paternally handed down,
Nami pupa üngkhyüh ia käh ngtähkia xüngseinak üngka naw ning jah thawngkhyah ni. Pyüpye lü khyükhleih theikia ngui xüi am ning jah thawng am ni.
19 But with precious blood, as of a lamb, unblemished and unspotted, of an Anointed One, —
Ia mkhyenak käh ve lü am lembawikia toca am tängki Khritaw thisen küi am ning jah thawngkhyah cun ksing ua.
20 Foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but made manifest at a last stage of the times, for the sake of you
Khawmdeka am a ngtüi ham üngkhyüh ani cun Pamhnam naw a xü päng ni. Ahina akpäihnaka khawmhnüpe üng, nami phäha ngdang lawki.
21 who, through him, are faithful towards God, —Who raised him from among the dead, and glory to him gave, So that your faith and hope are directed towards God:
Thihnak üngkhyüh mtho be lü hlüngtainak ani üng peki Pamhnam cun ani üngkhyüh nami jumeikia kyase, nami jumeinak ja äpeinak cun Pamhnam üng nami taki.
22 Having purified, your souls, by the obedience of the truth, unto unfeigned brotherly affection, from the heart, love, one another, earnestly;
Atuh ta ngthungtak nami läklamnak üng namimät ngcingcaihsakei ve uki. Acunakyase, nami khritjanpüi mhläkphyanak ja, mat ja mat mlung kcang naküt am mhläkphya na ua.
23 Having been regenerated—Not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible—through means of the word of a Living and Abiding God; (aiōn g165)

24 Inasmuch as—All flesh, is as grass, and, all the glory thereof, as the flower of grass, —The grass hath withered, and the flower hath fallen out,
Cangcim naw, Khyang nghngicim naküt cun msaia kba ni, ami hlüngtainake pi mawa ka khyeipai hea kba ni; Msai cun ngjai lü, khyeipai pi kyüki ni,
25 But the declaration of the Lord age-abidingly remaineth; And, this, is a declaration which in the joyful message hath been announced unto you. (aiōn g165)
