1 Kings 6
1 And so it came to pass, in the four hundred and eightieth year, by the coming forth of the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year (in the month of Zif, the same, being the second month) of the reign of Solomon over Israel, that he began to build the house unto Yahweh.
E Succedeu que no anno de quatrocentos e oitenta, depois de sairem os filhos de Israel do Egypto, no anno quarto do reinado de Salomão sobre Israel, no mez de Ziv (este é o mez segundo), começou a edificar a casa do Senhor.
2 Now, the house which King Solomon built unto Yahweh, was sixty cubits in length, and twenty in breadth, —and thirty cubits in height.
E a casa que o rei Salomão edificou ao Senhor era de sessenta covados de comprimento, e de vinte covados de largura, e de trinta covados de altura.
3 And, the porch in front of the temple of the house, was twenty cubits in length, according to the breadth of the house, —ten cubits in breadth, in front of the house.
E o portico diante do templo da casa era de vinte covados de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, e de dez covados de largura diante da casa.
4 And he made to the house windows, with closed bars.
E fez á casa janellas de vista estreita.
5 And he built—by the wall of the house—a gallery, round about, against the walls of the house, round about, both to the temple, and to the shrine, —and he made side chambers round about.
Edificou em redor da parede da casa camaras, em redor das paredes da casa, tanto do templo como do oraculo: e assim lhe fez camaras collateraes em redor.
6 The, lowest gallery, was five cubits broad, and, the middle, six cubits broad, and, the third, seven cubits broad, —for he put, ledges, against the house round about, on the outer side, so as not to make fastenings in the walls of the house.
A camara de baixo era de cinco covados de largura, e a do meio de seis covados de largura, e a terceira de sete covados de largura; porque pela parte de fóra da casa em redor fizera encostos, para não travarem das paredes da casa.
7 Now, the house, when it was in building, with whole quarry-stones, was built, —neither hammer, nor axe, nor any tools of iron, was heard in the house, when it was in building.
E edificava-se a casa com pedras preparadas, como as traziam se edificava; de maneira que nem martelo, nem machado, nem nenhum outro instrumento de ferro se ouviu na casa quando a edificavam.
8 The entrance of the lowest story, was on the right side of the house, —and, by winding stairs, went they up unto the middle [story], and, out of the middle, into, the third.
A porta da camara do meio estava á banda direita da casa, e por corações se subia á do meio, e da do meio á terceira.
9 So he built the house, and finished it, —and ceiled the house with planks and beams of cedar;
Assim pois edificou a casa, e a aperfeiçoou: e cobriu a casa com pranchões e taboados de cedro.
10 and built the gallery against all the house, five cubits in height, —and so fastened the house, with timber of cedar.
Tambem edificou as camaras a toda a casa de cinco covados de altura, e as travou com a casa com madeira de cedro.
11 Then came the word of Yahweh unto Solomon, saying:
Então veiu a palavra do Senhor a Salomão, dizendo:
12 Concerning this house, which thou art building, If thou wilt walk in my statutes, and, my regulations, wilt practise, and so observe all my commandments, by walking in them, Then will I establish my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father;
Quanto a esta casa que tu edificas, se andares nos meus estatutos, e fizeres os meus juizos, e guardares todos os meus mandamentos, andando n'elles, confirmarei para comtigo a minha palavra, a qual fallei a David, teu pae;
13 and will make my habitation in the midst of the sons of Israel, —and will not forsake my people Israel.
E habitarei no meio dos filhos d'Israel, e não desampararei o meu povo d'Israel.
14 Thus Solomon built the house, and finished it;
Assim edificou Salomão aquella casa, e a aperfeiçoou.
15 and he built the walls of the house on the inside, with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house, unto the cross-beams of the ceiling, he overlaid it with wood, on the inside, —and he overlaid the floor of the house with boards of fir.
Tambem cobriu as paredes da casa por dentro com taboas de cedro; desde o soalho da casa até ao tecto tudo cobriu com madeira por dentro: e cobriu o soalho da casa com taboas de faia.
16 And he built twenty cubits, at the hinder part of the house, with boards of cedar, from the floor as far as the cross-beams, —and he built it within, for a shrine, even for the holy of holies;
Edificou mais vinte covados de taboas de cedro nos lados da casa, desde o soalho até ás paredes: e por dentro lh'as edificou para o oraculo, para o Sancto dos Sanctos,
17 but, forty cubits, was the house itself, —the same, was the temple, before the oracle.
Era pois a casa de quarenta covados, a saber: o templo interior.
18 And, the cedar for the house within, was carved with colocynths, and with festoons of flowers, —the whole, was cedar, there was no stone to be seen.
E o cedro da casa por dentro era lavrado de botões e flores abertas: tudo era cedro, pedra nenhuma se via.
19 And, the shrine in the midst of the house within, made he ready, —for placing there, the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.
E por dentro da casa interior preparou o oraculo, para pôr ali a arca do concerto do Senhor.
20 And, the interior of the shrine, was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in height, and he overlaid it, with pure gold, —and overlaid the altar with cedar.
E o oraculo no interior era de vinte covados de comprimento, e de vinte covados de largura, e de vinte covados de altura: e o cobriu de oiro puro: tambem cobriu de cedro o altar.
21 Thus then did Solomon overlay the house within, with pure gold, —and he drew chains of gold across the front of the shrine, and overlaid it with gold;
E cobriu Salomão a casa por dentro de oiro puro: e com cadeias de oiro poz um véu diante do oraculo, e o cobriu com oiro.
22 yea, all the house, overlaid he with gold, until he had made all the house into one whole, —even all the altar that was by the shrine, overlaid he with gold.
Assim toda a casa cobriu de oiro, até acabar toda a casa: tambem todo o altar que estava diante do oraculo cobriu de oiro.
23 And he made, within the shrine, two cherubim of wild olive wood, —ten cubits in height;
E no oraculo fez dois cherubins de madeira olearia, cada um da altura de dez covados.
24 and, five cubits, was the one wing of the cherub, and, five cubits, the second wing of the cherub, —ten cubits, from the one end of his wings unto the other end of his wings.
E uma aza d'um cherubim era de cinco covados, e a outra aza do cherubim de outros cinco covados; dez covados havia desde a extremidade d'uma das suas azas até á extremidade da outra das suas azas.
25 Ten cubits, also was the second cherub, —of one size and one shape, were the two cherubim.
Assim era tambem de dez covados o outro cherubim: ambos os cherubins eram d'uma mesma medida e d'um mesmo talhe.
26 The height of the one cherub, was ten cubits, —and, so, of the second cherub.
A altura d'um cherubim de dez covados, e assim a do outro cherubim.
27 And he placed the cherubim in the midst of the inner house, and the cherubim stretched forth their wings, —so that the wing of the one touched the [one] wall, and the wing of the other cherub, was touching the other wall, —and, their wings in the midst of the house, were touching, wing to wing.
E poz a estes cherubins no meio da casa de dentro; e os cherubins estendiam as azas, de maneira que a aza d'um tocava na parede, e a aza do outro cherubim tocava na outra parede: e as suas azas no meio da casa tocavam uma na outra.
28 And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.
E cobriu de oiro os cherubins.
29 And, all the walls of the house round about, carved he with figures of cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, —within and without.
E todas as paredes da casa em redor lavrou de esculpturas e entalhes de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, por dentro e por fóra.
30 Even the floor of the house, overlaid he with gold, —within and without.
Tambem cobriu de oiro o soalho da casa, por dentro e por fóra.
31 And, the entrance of the shrine, made he with doors, of wild olive-wood, the pillars and posts being a fifth.
E á entrada do oraculo fez portas de madeira olearia: o umbral de cima com as hombreiras faziam a quinta parte da parede.
32 The two doors, also were of olive-wood, and he carved upon them carvings of cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, and overlaid them with gold, —yea he spread out, over the cherubim and over the palm-trees, the gold.
Tambem as duas portas eram de madeira olearia; e lavrou n'ellas entalhes de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, os quaes cobriu de oiro: tambem estendeu oiro sobre os cherubins e sobre as palmas.
33 So, also, made he for the entrance of the temple, with posts of wild olive-wood, —a fourth part.
E assim fez á porta do templo hombreiras de madeira olearia, da quarta parte da parede.
34 And, the two doors, were of fir wood, —the two leaves of the one door, were folding, and, the two leaves of the other door, were folding.
E eram as duas portas de madeira de faia; e as duas folhas d'uma porta eram dobradiças, assim como eram tambem dobradiças as duas folhas entalhadas das outras portas.
35 And he carved cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, and overlaid them with gold, smoothed out on the carved work.
E as lavrou de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, e as cobriu de oiro acommodado ao lavor.
36 And he built the inner court, with three rows of hewn stone, —and a row of beams of cedar.
Tambem edificou o pateo interior de tres ordens de pedras lavradas e d'uma ordem de vigas de cedro.
37 In the fourth year, was laid the foundation of the house of Yahweh, —in the month Zif;
No anno quarto se poz o fundamento da casa do Senhor, no mez de Ziv.
38 and, in the eleventh year, in the month Bul—the same, is the eighth month, was the house finished, as to all the particulars thereof, and as to all the appointments thereof, —so then he built it in seven years.
E no anno undecimo, no mez de Bul, que é o mez oitavo, se acabou esta casa com todos os seus apparelhos, e com tudo o que lhe convinha: e a edificou em sete annos.
