1 Kings 15
1 Now, in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam son of Nebat, began Abijah to reign over Judah.
நேபாத்தின் மகனான யெரொபெயாம் இஸ்ரயேலில் ஆட்சி செய்த பதினெட்டாம் வருடம் அபியா யூதாவின் அரசனானான்.
2 Three years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.
அவன் எருசலேமில் மூன்று வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான். அப்சலோமின் மகளான அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் மாக்காள்.
3 And he walked in all the sins of his father which he had done before him, —and his heart was not blameless with Yahweh his God, like the heart of David his father.
அவனுடைய தகப்பன் முன்பு செய்த எல்லாப் பாவங்களையும் இவனும் செய்தான். தன் முற்பிதாவாகிய தாவீது, தன் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு முழுமனதோடு உண்மையாயிருந்ததுபோல, இவன் முழுமனதோடு உண்மையாய் இருக்கவில்லை.
4 But, for the sake of David, did Yahweh his God give him a lamp, in Jerusalem, —by raising up a son of his after him, and by suffering Jerusalem to stand;
அப்படியிருந்தும் தாவீதின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா அவன் நிமித்தம் எருசலேமைப் பலப்படுத்தி, தாவீதுக்குப் பின் அரசாளுவதற்கு ஒரு மகனை எழுப்பி, எருசலேமில் அவனுக்கு ஒரு விளக்கைக் கொடுத்தார்.
5 because David did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him, all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
ஏனெனில் தாவீது ஏத்தியனான உரியாவின் விஷயத்தைத் தவிர, மற்ற எல்லாவற்றிலும் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குச் சரியானவற்றைச் செய்து, தன் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் யெகோவாவின் கட்டளைகளில் எதையும் செய்யத் தவறவில்லை.
6 And there was, war, between Rehoboam and Jeroboam, all the days of his life.
யெரொபெயாமுக்கும் ரெகொபெயாமுக்கும் இடையே ஏற்பட்ட யுத்தம் அபியாவின் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் தொடர்ந்தது.
7 Now, the rest of the story of Abijah and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? And there was, war, between Abijah and Jeroboam.
அபியாவின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின் மற்ற சம்பவங்களும், அவன் செய்த அனைத்தும் யூதா அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன. அபியாமுக்கும் யெரொபெயாமுக்கும் இடையில் யுத்தம் நடந்தது.
8 So then Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, —and, Asa his son, reigned, in his stead.
அபியா இறந்து, தாவீதின் நகரத்திலே தன் முற்பிதாக்களுடன் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். அவனுக்குப்பின் அவனுடைய மகனான ஆசா அரசனானான்.
9 Now, in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Asa to reign as king of Judah;
இஸ்ரயேல் அரசனான யெரொபெயாமின் இருபதாம் வருடத்தில் ஆசா யூதாவின் அரசனானான்.
10 and, forty-one years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.
அவன் எருசலேமில் நாற்பத்தொரு வருடங்கள் அரசாண்டான். அவனின் பாட்டி அப்சலோமின் மகளான மாக்காள் என்பவள்.
11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —like David his father;
ஆசா தன் முற்பிதாவாகிய தாவீதைப் போல யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் சரியானவற்றையே செய்தான்.
12 and he put away the male devotees out of the land, —and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
அவன், வழிபாட்டிடத்தில் வேசித்தனத்திற்குத் தங்களைக் கொடுத்த ஆண் விபசாரக்காரரை நாட்டிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றி, தன் முற்பிதாக்கள் செய்துவைத்திருந்த எல்லா விக்கிரகங்களையும் அகற்றிவிட்டான்.
13 Moreover also, even Maachah his mother, he removed from being queen, because she had made a monstrous thing to the Sacred Stem, —and Asa cut down her monstrous thing and burned it in the Kidron ravine.
மேலும் அவன் தன் பாட்டி மாக்காளை, அவள் அருவருப்பான அசேரா விக்கிரக தூணைச் செய்ததினால், அரசி என்ற நிலையிலிருந்து நீக்கிவிட்டான். ஆசா அந்தத் தூணை வெட்டி கீதரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் எரித்துவிட்டான்.
14 But, the high places, removed he not, —nevertheless, the heart of Asa, was blameless with Yahweh, all his days.
அவன் வழிபாட்டு மேடைகளை அகற்றாமலிருந்த போதிலும்கூட ஆசா தன் வாழ்நாள் எல்லாம் தன் இருதயத்தை யெகோவாவுக்கே ஒப்புவித்திருந்தான்.
15 And he brought in the hallowed things of his father, and his own hallowed things, into the house of Yahweh, —silver and gold, and vessels.
அவன் தானும் தன் தகப்பனும் அர்ப்பணித்திருந்த வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும், மற்ற பொருட்களையும் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்குள் கொண்டுவந்தான்.
16 And there was, war, between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, all their days.
ஆசாவுக்கும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசனான பாஷாவுக்கும் இடையில் அவர்களின் ஆட்சிக்காலம் முழுவதும் யுத்தம் நடந்தது.
17 And Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, —so as not to suffer any one to come out or go in unto Asa king of Judah.
இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனான பாஷா, யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாகப் போய், யூதா அரசனான ஆசாவின் எல்லையிலிருந்து யாரும் வெளியே வரவோ, உள்ளே போகவோ முடியாதபடி தடுப்பதற்காக ராமாவைச் சுற்றி அரண் அமைத்தான்.
18 So Asa took all the silver and the gold, that were left in the treasuries of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, and delivered them into the hand of his servants, —and King Asa sent them unto Ben-hadad, son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying:
பின்பு ஆசா யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தின் திரவியக் களஞ்சியத்திலும், தன் சொந்த அரண்மனையிலும் எஞ்சியிருந்த எல்லா வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் எடுத்து அவற்றைத் தன் அலுவலர்களிடம் ஒப்படைத்தான். பின்பு அவற்றை தமஸ்குவில் ஆட்சி செய்த எசியோனின் மகன் தப்ரிமோனின் மகனான சீரிய அரசன் பெனாதாத்திற்கு அனுப்பினான்.
19 [Let there be a] covenant between me and thee, [as] between my father and thy father: Lo! I have sent thee a gift, silver and gold, Come break thy covenant with Baasha, king of Israel, that he may go up from against me.
மேலும் அவன் அவர்களிடம், “உம்முடைய தகப்பனுக்கும், என்னுடைய தகப்பனுக்குமிடையில் இருந்ததுபோல, உமக்கும் எனக்கும் இடையில் ஒரு ஒப்பந்தம் இருக்கட்டும். இதோ பாரும், நான் வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் உமக்கு பரிசாக அனுப்புகிறேன். நீர் இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனான பாஷாவுடன் வைத்துள்ள ஒப்பந்தத்தை முறித்துவிடும். அப்போது அவன் என்னிடமிருந்து பின்வாங்கி விடுவான்” என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பினான்.
20 So Ben-hadad hearkened unto King Asa, and sent the generals of the forces which he had, against the cities of Israel, and smote Iyyohn [Ijon], and Dan, and Abel-beth-maacah, —and all Chinneroth, against all the land of Naphtali.
பெனாதாத் அரசனாகிய ஆசாவுடன் உடன்பட்டு தனது இராணுவத் தளபதிகளை இஸ்ரயேலின் பட்டணங்களுக்கு எதிராக அனுப்பினான். அவன் ஈயோன், தாண், ஆபேல் பெத்மாக்கா மற்றும் கின்னரோத்தின் எல்லாப் பகுதிகளையும், அத்துடன் நப்தலி நாட்டையும் பிடித்தான்.
21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, he left off building Ramah, —and returned to Tirzah.
பாஷா இதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது ராமாவைக் கட்டுவதை நிறுத்தி, பின்வாங்கி திர்சாவுக்குப் போனான்.
22 And, King Asa, published it unto all Judah, none was exempted, so they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the beams thereof, wherewith Baasha had built, —and King Asa built therewith Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
அப்பொழுது அரசன் ஆசா ஒருவனையும்விடாமல் யூதா நாடு முழுவதற்கும் ஒரு கட்டளை கொடுத்தான். அவர்கள் பாஷா அரசன் பயன்படுத்திய கற்களையும், மரங்களையும் ராமாவிலிருந்து கொண்டுபோனார்கள். ஆசா அரசன் அவற்றைப் பயன்படுத்தி பென்யமீன் நாட்டில் கேபாவையும், மிஸ்பாவையும் கட்டினான்.
23 Now, the rest of all the story of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did and the cities which he built, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? Howbeit, in the time of his old age, he was diseased in his feet.
ஆசாவின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், அவனுடைய சாதனைகளும், அவன் செய்தவைகள் அனைத்தும், அத்துடன் அவன் கட்டிய பட்டணங்கள் பற்றியும், யூதா அரசர்களது வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன. ஆயினும், அவனுடைய வயது முதிர்ந்த காலத்தில் அவன் கால்களில் வியாதி ஏற்பட்டது.
24 So then Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, —and, Jehoshaphat his son, reigned, in his stead.
பின்பு ஆசா தன் முற்பிதாக்களைப்போல இறந்து, தன் முற்பிதாவாகிய தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். அவனுடைய மகனான யோசபாத், அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அவனுக்குப்பின் அரசனானான்.
25 Now, Nadab son of Jeroboam, began to reign over Israel, in the second year of Asa king of Judah, —and he reigned over Israel, two years.
யூதா அரசன் ஆசாவின் இரண்டாம் வருடத்தில் யெரொபெயாமின் மகனான நாதாப் இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு அரசனாகி, இஸ்ரயேலின்மேல் இரண்டு வருடம் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்.
26 And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin, wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin.
அவன் இஸ்ரயேலைப் பாவம் செய்யப்பண்ணிய தன் தகப்பனுடைய வழிகளிலும், அவனுடைய பாவத்திலும் நடந்தான். இதனால் அவன் யெகோவாவினுடைய பார்வையில் தீமைசெய்தான்.
27 And Baasha son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him, and Baasha smote him in Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, —Nadab and all Israel being in siege against Gibbethon.
நாதாபும், இஸ்ரயேலர் அனைவரும் பெலிஸ்திய பட்டணமான கிபெத்தோனை முற்றுகையிடுகையில், இசக்கார் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த அகியாவின் மகனான பாஷா, நாதாபிற்கு எதிராகச் சதிசெய்து, அங்கு அவனை வெட்டிக்கொன்றான்.
28 And Baasha slew him, in the third year of Asa king of Judah, —and reigned in his stead.
யூதாவின் அரசனான ஆசாவின் மூன்றாம் வருடத்தில் பாஷா நாதாபைக் கொன்று, தானே அவனுக்குப்பின் அவன் இடத்தில் அரசனானான்.
29 And it came to pass, when he became king, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam, he left not remaining any breathing thing pertaining to Jeroboam, until he had destroyed him, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:
அவன் அரசாளத் தொடங்கியதும் யெரொபெயாமின் முழுக் குடும்பத்தையும் கொன்றான். யெகோவா தன் பணியாளனாகிய சீலோனியனான அகியாவின் மூலமாய்க் கொடுத்த வாக்கின்படியே, யெரொபெயாமுக்குச் சொந்தமான சுவாசமுள்ள எதையும் விட்டுவைக்காமல் எல்லாவற்றையும் கொன்றான்.
30 for the sins of Jeroboam which he committed, and which he caused, Israel, to commit, —by his provocation wherewith he provoked to anger Yahweh God of Israel.
யெரொபெயாம் செய்த பாவங்களின் காரணமாகவும், அவன் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணியதாலும், இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குக் கோபம்மூட்டினதாலுமே இவ்வாறு நடந்தது.
31 Now, the rest of the story of Nadab, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
நாதாபின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.
32 And there was, war, between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, all their days.
ஆசாவுக்கும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசனான பாஷாவுக்கும் இடையில் அவர்களின் ஆட்சிக்காலம் முழுவதும் யுத்தம் நடந்துகொண்டே இருந்தது.
33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah, began Baasha, son of Ahijah, to reign over all Israel, in Tirzah, [and he reigned] twenty-four years.
யூதா அரசனான ஆசா அரசாண்ட மூன்றாம் வருடத்தில், அகியாவின் மகன் பாஷா இஸ்ரயேல் முழுவதற்கும் திர்சாவில் அரசனானான். அவன் இருபத்தி நான்கு வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்.
34 And he did that which was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin.
அவன் இஸ்ரயேலரைப் பாவம் செய்யப்பண்ணின யெரொபெயாமின் வழிகளிலும், அவனுடைய பாவங்களிலும் நடந்து, யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் தீமையைச் செய்தான்.
