1 Kings 15

1 Now, in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam son of Nebat, began Abijah to reign over Judah.

नबातका छोरा राजा यारोबामको शासनकालको अठारौँ वर्षमा अबियाले यहूदामाथि शासन गर्न थाले ।

2 Three years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.

तिनले यरूशलेममा तिन वर्ष राज्य गरे । तिनकी आमाको नाउँ माका थियो । उनी अबीशालोमकी छोरी थिइन् ।

3 And he walked in all the sins of his father which he had done before him, —and his heart was not blameless with Yahweh his God, like the heart of David his father.

अबिया तिनको समयभन्दा अगि तिनका पिताले गरेका सबै पापमा हिँडे । तिनको ह्रदय तिनका पुर्खा दाऊदको ह्रदयजस्तै परमप्रभु तिनका परमेश्वरप्रति समर्पित भएन ।

4 But, for the sake of David, did Yahweh his God give him a lamp, in Jerusalem, —by raising up a son of his after him, and by suffering Jerusalem to stand;

तरै पनि दाऊदको खातिर परमप्रभु तिनका परमेश्वरले यरूशलेमलाई बलियो बनाउन तिनी पछि तिनको छोरोलाई उठाएर यरूशलमेमा तिनलाई एउटा बत्ती दिनुभयो ।

5 because David did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him, all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

दाऊदले परमेश्वरको दृष्टिमा जे ठिक छ, त्यही गरेकाले उहाँले यसो गर्नुभयो । किनकि हित्ती उरियाहको विषयमा बाहेक उहाँले तिनलाई दिनुभएको कुनै पनि आज्ञाबाट तिनी आफ्नो जीवनभर तर्केर गएनन् ।

6 And there was, war, between Rehoboam and Jeroboam, all the days of his life.

अबियाको जीवनभर रहबाम र यारोबामको बिचमा युद्ध भइरह्‍यो ।

7 Now, the rest of the story of Abijah and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? And there was, war, between Abijah and Jeroboam.

के अबियाले गरेका अन्य कामहरू यहूदाका राजाहरूको इतिहासको पुस्तकमा लेखिएका छैनन् र? अबिया र यारोबामको बिचमा युद्ध चलेको थियो ।

8 So then Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, —and, Asa his son, reigned, in his stead.

अबिया आफ्ना पित्रहरूसित सुते, र तिनीहरूले तिनलाई दाऊदको सहरमा गाडे । तिनको ठाउँमा तिनका छोरा आसा राजा भए ।

9 Now, in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Asa to reign as king of Judah;

इस्राएलका राजा यारोबामको बिसौँ वर्षमा आसाले यहूदामाथि शासन गर्न थाले ।

10 and, forty-one years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.

तिनले यरूशलेममा एकचालिस वर्ष राज्य गरे । तिनकी हजुर आमाको नाउँ माका थियो जो अबीशालोमकी छोरी थिइन् ।

11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —like David his father;

आसाले तिनका पुर्खा दाऊदले परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे ठिक छ, त्यही गरे ।

12 and he put away the male devotees out of the land, —and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

तिनले देशबाट झुटो धर्मसम्बन्धी वेश्याहरूलाई निष्कासन गरे, र तिनका पुर्खाहरूले बनाएका सबै मुर्तिलाई हटाइदिए ।

13 Moreover also, even Maachah his mother, he removed from being queen, because she had made a monstrous thing to the Sacred Stem, —and Asa cut down her monstrous thing and burned it in the Kidron ravine.

तिनले आफ्नी हजुर आमा माकालाई पनि राजमाताको पदबाट हटाए किनकि उनले अशेरा देवीको एउटा घिनलाग्दो मूर्ति बनाएकी थिइन् । आसाले त्यस घिनलाग्दो मूर्तिलाई टुक्राटुक्रा पारी किद्रोन उपत्यकामा लगेर जलाइदिए ।

14 But, the high places, removed he not, —nevertheless, the heart of Asa, was blameless with Yahweh, all his days.

तर डाँडाका थानहरू भने हटाइएनन् । तरै पनि आसाको ह्रदय तिनको जिवनकालभरि परमप्रभुप्रति पूर्ण रूपमा समर्पित थियो ।

15 And he brought in the hallowed things of his father, and his own hallowed things, into the house of Yahweh, —silver and gold, and vessels.

तिनले आफ्ना पिताद्वारा अलग गरिएका कुराहरू र तिनी आफैले बनाएर अलग गरेका सुन, चाँदीसाथै भाँडाकुँडाहरू परमप्रभुको मन्दिरभित्र ल्याए ।

16 And there was, war, between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, all their days.

आसा र इस्राएलका राजा बाशाका राज्यकालभरि तिनीहरूको बिचमा युद्ध चलिरह्‍यो ।

17 And Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, —so as not to suffer any one to come out or go in unto Asa king of Judah.

इस्राएलका राजा बाशा यहूदाको विरुद्धमा आक्रामक रूपमा आए, र यहूदका राजा बाशाको देशमा कसैलाई प्रवेश गर्न नदिन तिनले रामामा किल्ला निर्माण गरे ।

18 So Asa took all the silver and the gold, that were left in the treasuries of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, and delivered them into the hand of his servants, —and King Asa sent them unto Ben-hadad, son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying:

त्यसपछि आसाले परमप्रभुको मन्दिर र राजाको महलका भण्डारहरूमा छाडिएका सबै चाँदी र सुन लिए । तिनले ती आफ्ना अधिकारीहरूका हातमा दिए, र त्यसलाई तब्रिमोनका छोरा, हेज्योनका नाति अरामका राजा बेन-हददकहाँ पठाइदिए जो दमस्कसमा बस्थे । तिनले भने,

19 [Let there be a] covenant between me and thee, [as] between my father and thy father: Lo! I have sent thee a gift, silver and gold, Come break thy covenant with Baasha, king of Israel, that he may go up from against me.

“मेरा पिता र तपाईंका पिताको बिचमा भएजस्तै तपाईं र मेरो बिचमा एउटा करार बाँधियोस् । हेर्नुहोस्, मैले तपाईंकहाँ चाँदी र सुनको उपहार पठाएको छु । इस्राएलका राजा बाशासितको करार तोड्नुहोस् ताकि तिनले मलाई एकलै छाडून् ।”

20 So Ben-hadad hearkened unto King Asa, and sent the generals of the forces which he had, against the cities of Israel, and smote Iyyohn [Ijon], and Dan, and Abel-beth-maacah, —and all Chinneroth, against all the land of Naphtali.

बेन-हददले राजा आसाको कुरा सुने र आफ्ना सेनापतिहरू पठाए, अनि तिनीहरूले इस्राएलका सहरहरूमाथि आक्रमण गरे । तिनीहरूले इयोन, दान, हाबिल-बेथ-माका र नप्तालीको क्षेत्रसमेत सबै सारा किन्नरेतलाई आक्रमण गरे ।

21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, he left off building Ramah, —and returned to Tirzah.

जब बाशाले यो कुरा सुने तिनले रामामा किल्ला निर्माण गर्न छाडेर तिनी तिर्सामा फर्केर गए ।

22 And, King Asa, published it unto all Judah, none was exempted, so they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the beams thereof, wherewith Baasha had built, —and King Asa built therewith Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

तब राजा आसाले सारा यहूदामा एउटा घोषणा गरे जसमा कोही पनि छुटेको थिएन । तिनीहरूले बाशाले रामा सहर निर्माणको लागि प्रयोग गरिरहेका ढुङ्गाहरू र काठहरू लिएर गए । तब राजा आसाले बेन्यामीनको गेबा र मिस्माको निर्माणमा ती सामग्रीहरूको प्रयोग गरे ।

23 Now, the rest of all the story of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did and the cities which he built, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? Howbeit, in the time of his old age, he was diseased in his feet.

के आसाले गरेका अरू कामहरू, तिनका सारा शक्ति र तिनले निर्माण गरेका सहरहरूको बारेमा यहूदाका राजाहरूको इतिहासको पुस्तकमा लेखिएका छैनन् र? तर तिनको वृद्धावस्थामा तिनको खुट्टामा रोग लाग्यो ।

24 So then Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, —and, Jehoshaphat his son, reigned, in his stead.

त्यसपछि आसा आफ्ना पित्रहरूसित सुते र तिनलाई तिनका पिता पुर्खा दाऊदको सहरमा गाडियो । तिनको ठाउँमा तिनका छोरा यहोशापात राजा भए ।

25 Now, Nadab son of Jeroboam, began to reign over Israel, in the second year of Asa king of Judah, —and he reigned over Israel, two years.

यहूदाका राजा आसाको दोस्रो वर्षमा यारोबामका छोरा नादाबले इस्राएलमाथि शासन गर्न थाले । तिनले इस्राएलमाथि दुई वर्ष राज्य गरे ।

26 And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin, wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin.

तिनले परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे खराब छ, त्यही गरे, र आफ्ना पिताको चालमा हिँडे । तिनी आफ्नै पापमा हिँडे र इस्राएललाई पनि पाप गर्न लगाए । इस्साखारको घरानाका

27 And Baasha son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him, and Baasha smote him in Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, —Nadab and all Israel being in siege against Gibbethon.

अहियाहका छोरा बाशाले नादाबको विरुद्धमा षड्यन्त्र रचे । बाशाले तिनलाई पलिश्तीहरूको सहर गिब्बतोनमा मारे किनकि नादाब र सारा इस्राएलले गिब्बतोनलाई घेरा हाल्दै थिए ।

28 And Baasha slew him, in the third year of Asa king of Judah, —and reigned in his stead.

यहूदाका राजा आसाको तेस्रो वर्षमा बाशाले नादाबलाई मारे, तिनको ठाउँमा तिनी राजा बने ।

29 And it came to pass, when he became king, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam, he left not remaining any breathing thing pertaining to Jeroboam, until he had destroyed him, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:

तिनी राजा हुनेबित्तिकै बाशाले याराबामको सारा घरानालाई मारे । तिनले यारोबामको कुनै पनि सन्तानलाई जिउँदो राखेनन् । यसरी परमप्रभुले आफ्ना दास शीलोका अहियाहद्वारा बोल्नुभएझैँ तिनले यारोबामको सबै राजकीय वंशलाई नष्ट गरिदिए ।

30 for the sins of Jeroboam which he committed, and which he caused, Israel, to commit, —by his provocation wherewith he provoked to anger Yahweh God of Israel.

यारोबामले गरेका पाप र तिनले इस्राएललाई गर्न लगाएका पापको कारण तिनीहरूले इस्राएलका परमेश्वर परमप्रभुलाई रिस उठाएकाले यसो हुन आएको हो ।

31 Now, the rest of the story of Nadab, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

के नादाबका अरू कार्यहरू र तिनले गरेका कामको विषयमा इस्राएलका राजाहरूको इतिहासको पुस्तकमा लेखिएका छैनन् र?

32 And there was, war, between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, all their days.

आसा र इस्राएलका राजा बाशाको बिचमा तिनीहरूको राज्यकालभरि युद्ध चलिरह्‍यो ।

33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah, began Baasha, son of Ahijah, to reign over all Israel, in Tirzah, [and he reigned] twenty-four years.

यहूदाका राजा आसाको तेस्रो वर्षमा अहियाहका छोरा बाशाले तिस्रामा बसी सारा इस्राएलमाथि शासन गर्न थाले, र तिनले चौबिस वर्ष राज्य गरे ।

34 And he did that which was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin.

तिनले परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे खराब छ, त्यही गरे, र तिनी यारोबामको मार्ग र तिनले इस्राएललाई गर्न लगाएको पापमा हिँडे ।
