1 Kings 15
1 Now, in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam son of Nebat, began Abijah to reign over Judah.
१नबात के पुत्र यारोबाम के राज्य के अठारहवें वर्ष में अबिय्याम यहूदा पर राज्य करने लगा।
2 Three years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.
२और वह तीन वर्ष तक यरूशलेम में राज्य करता रहा। उसकी माता का नाम माका था जो अबशालोम की पुत्री थीः
3 And he walked in all the sins of his father which he had done before him, —and his heart was not blameless with Yahweh his God, like the heart of David his father.
३वह वैसे ही पापों की लीक पर चलता रहा जैसे उसके पिता ने उससे पहले किए थे और उसका मन अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर अपने परदादा दाऊद के समान पूरी रीति से सिद्ध न था;
4 But, for the sake of David, did Yahweh his God give him a lamp, in Jerusalem, —by raising up a son of his after him, and by suffering Jerusalem to stand;
४तो भी दाऊद के कारण उसके परमेश्वर यहोवा ने यरूशलेम में उसे एक दीपक दिया अर्थात् उसके पुत्र को उसके बाद ठहराया और यरूशलेम को बनाए रखा।
5 because David did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him, all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
५क्योंकि दाऊद वह किया करता था जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक था और हित्ती ऊरिय्याह की बात के सिवाय और किसी बात में यहोवा की किसी आज्ञा से जीवन भर कभी न मुड़ा।
6 And there was, war, between Rehoboam and Jeroboam, all the days of his life.
६रहबाम के जीवन भर उसके और यारोबाम के बीच लड़ाई होती रही।
7 Now, the rest of the story of Abijah and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? And there was, war, between Abijah and Jeroboam.
७अबिय्याम के और सब काम जो उसने किए, क्या वे यहूदा के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखे हैं? और अबिय्याम की यारोबाम के साथ लड़ाई होती रही।
8 So then Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, —and, Asa his son, reigned, in his stead.
८अबिय्याम मरकर अपने पुरखाओं के संग जा मिला, और उसको दाऊदपुर में मिट्टी दी गई, और उसका पुत्र आसा उसके स्थान पर राज्य करने लगा।
9 Now, in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Asa to reign as king of Judah;
९इस्राएल के राजा यारोबाम के राज्य के बीसवें वर्ष में आसा यहूदा पर राज्य करने लगा;
10 and, forty-one years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.
१०और यरूशलेम में इकतालीस वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा, और उसकी माता अबशालोम की पुत्री माका थी।
11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —like David his father;
११और आसा ने अपने मूलपुरुष दाऊद के समान वही किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक था।
12 and he put away the male devotees out of the land, —and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
१२उसने तो पुरुषगामियों को देश से निकाल दिया, और जितनी मूरतें उसके पुरखाओं ने बनाई थीं उन सभी को उसने दूर कर दिया।
13 Moreover also, even Maachah his mother, he removed from being queen, because she had made a monstrous thing to the Sacred Stem, —and Asa cut down her monstrous thing and burned it in the Kidron ravine.
१३वरन् उसकी माता माका जिसने अशेरा के लिये एक घिनौनी मूरत बनाई थी उसको उसने राजमाता के पद से उतार दिया, और आसा ने उसकी मूरत को काट डाला और किद्रोन के नाले में फूँक दिया।
14 But, the high places, removed he not, —nevertheless, the heart of Asa, was blameless with Yahweh, all his days.
१४परन्तु ऊँचे स्थान तो ढाए न गए; तो भी आसा का मन जीवन भर यहोवा की ओर पूरी रीति से लगा रहा।
15 And he brought in the hallowed things of his father, and his own hallowed things, into the house of Yahweh, —silver and gold, and vessels.
१५और जो सोना चाँदी और पात्र उसके पिता ने अर्पण किए थे, और जो उसने स्वयं अर्पण किए थे, उन सभी को उसने यहोवा के भवन में पहुँचा दिया।
16 And there was, war, between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, all their days.
१६आसा और इस्राएल के राजा बाशा के बीच उनके जीवन भर युद्ध होता रहा।
17 And Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, —so as not to suffer any one to come out or go in unto Asa king of Judah.
१७इस्राएल के राजा बाशा ने यहूदा पर चढ़ाई की, और रामाह को इसलिए दृढ़ किया कि कोई यहूदा के राजा आसा के पास आने-जाने न पाए।
18 So Asa took all the silver and the gold, that were left in the treasuries of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, and delivered them into the hand of his servants, —and King Asa sent them unto Ben-hadad, son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying:
१८तब आसा ने जितना सोना चाँदी यहोवा के भवन और राजभवन के भण्डारों में रह गया था उस सब को निकाल अपने कर्मचारियों के हाथ सौंपकर, दमिश्कवासी अराम के राजा बेन्हदद के पास जो हेज्योन का पोता और तब्रिम्मोन का पुत्र था भेजकर यह कहा,
19 [Let there be a] covenant between me and thee, [as] between my father and thy father: Lo! I have sent thee a gift, silver and gold, Come break thy covenant with Baasha, king of Israel, that he may go up from against me.
१९“जैसा मेरे और तेरे पिता के मध्य में वैसा ही मेरे और तेरे मध्य भी वाचा बाँधी जाएः देख, मैं तेरे पास चाँदी सोने की भेंट भेजता हूँ, इसलिए आ, इस्राएल के राजा बाशा के साथ की अपनी वाचा को टाल दे, कि वह मेरे पास से चला जाए।”
20 So Ben-hadad hearkened unto King Asa, and sent the generals of the forces which he had, against the cities of Israel, and smote Iyyohn [Ijon], and Dan, and Abel-beth-maacah, —and all Chinneroth, against all the land of Naphtali.
२०राजा आसा की यह बात मानकर बेन्हदद ने अपने दलों के प्रधानों से इस्राएली नगरों पर चढ़ाई करवाकर इय्योन, दान, आबेल्वेत्माका और समस्त किन्नेरेत को और नप्ताली के समस्त देश को पूरा जीत लिया।
21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, he left off building Ramah, —and returned to Tirzah.
२१यह सुनकर बाशा ने रामाह को दृढ़ करना छोड़ दिया, और तिर्सा में रहने लगा।
22 And, King Asa, published it unto all Judah, none was exempted, so they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the beams thereof, wherewith Baasha had built, —and King Asa built therewith Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
२२तब राजा आसा ने सारे यहूदा में प्रचार करवाया और कोई अनसुना न रहा, तब वे रामाह के पत्थरों और लकड़ी को जिनसे बाशा उसे दृढ़ करता था उठा ले गए, और उनसे राजा आसा ने बिन्यामीन के गेबा और मिस्पा को दृढ़ किया।
23 Now, the rest of all the story of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did and the cities which he built, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? Howbeit, in the time of his old age, he was diseased in his feet.
२३आसा के अन्य काम और उसकी वीरता और जो कुछ उसने किया, और जो नगर उसने दृढ़ किए, यह सब क्या यहूदा के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखा है? परन्तु उसके बुढ़ापे में तो उसे पाँवों का रोग लग गया।
24 So then Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, —and, Jehoshaphat his son, reigned, in his stead.
२४आसा मरकर अपने पुरखाओं के संग जा मिला, और उसे उसके मूलपुरुष दाऊद के नगर में उन्हीं के पास मिट्टी दी गई और उसका पुत्र यहोशापात उसके स्थान पर राज्य करने लगा।
25 Now, Nadab son of Jeroboam, began to reign over Israel, in the second year of Asa king of Judah, —and he reigned over Israel, two years.
२५यहूदा के राजा आसा के राज्य के दूसरे वर्ष में यारोबाम का पुत्र नादाब इस्राएल पर राज्य करने लगा; और दो वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा।
26 And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin, wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin.
२६उसने वह काम किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा था और अपने पिता के मार्ग पर वही पाप करता हुआ चलता रहा जो उसने इस्राएल से करवाया था।
27 And Baasha son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him, and Baasha smote him in Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, —Nadab and all Israel being in siege against Gibbethon.
२७नादाब सब इस्राएल समेत पलिश्तियों के देश के गिब्बतोन नगर को घेरे था। और इस्साकार के गोत्र के अहिय्याह के पुत्र बाशा ने उसके विरुद्ध राजद्रोह की गोष्ठी करके गिब्बतोन के पास उसको मार डाला।
28 And Baasha slew him, in the third year of Asa king of Judah, —and reigned in his stead.
२८और यहूदा के राजा आसा के राज्य के तीसरे वर्ष में बाशा ने नादाब को मार डाला, और उसके स्थान पर राजा बन गया।
29 And it came to pass, when he became king, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam, he left not remaining any breathing thing pertaining to Jeroboam, until he had destroyed him, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:
२९राजा होते ही बाशा ने यारोबाम के समस्त घराने को मार डाला; उसने यारोबाम के वंश को यहाँ तक नष्ट किया कि एक भी जीवित न रहा। यह सब यहोवा के उस वचन के अनुसार हुआ जो उसने अपने दास शीलोवासी अहिय्याह से कहलवाया था।
30 for the sins of Jeroboam which he committed, and which he caused, Israel, to commit, —by his provocation wherewith he provoked to anger Yahweh God of Israel.
३०यह इस कारण हुआ कि यारोबाम ने स्वयं पाप किए, और इस्राएल से भी करवाए थे, और उसने इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा को क्रोधित किया था।
31 Now, the rest of the story of Nadab, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
३१नादाब के और सब काम जो उसने किए, वह क्या इस्राएल के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखे हैं?
32 And there was, war, between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, all their days.
३२आसा और इस्राएल के राजा बाशा के मध्य में तो उनके जीवन भर युद्ध होता रहा।
33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah, began Baasha, son of Ahijah, to reign over all Israel, in Tirzah, [and he reigned] twenty-four years.
३३यहूदा के राजा आसा के राज्य के तीसरे वर्ष में अहिय्याह का पुत्र बाशा, तिर्सा में समस्त इस्राएल पर राज्य करने लगा, और चौबीस वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा।
34 And he did that which was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin.
३४और उसने वह किया, जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा था, और यारोबाम के मार्ग पर वही पाप करता रहा जिसे उसने इस्राएल से करवाया था।
