1 Kings 15

1 Now, in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam son of Nebat, began Abijah to reign over Judah.

2 Three years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.

3 And he walked in all the sins of his father which he had done before him, —and his heart was not blameless with Yahweh his God, like the heart of David his father.

Li iradis en ĉiuj pekoj de sia patro, kiujn ĉi tiu faris antaŭ li; kaj lia koro ne estis plene fordonita al la Eternulo, lia Dio, kiel la koro de lia patro David.

4 But, for the sake of David, did Yahweh his God give him a lamp, in Jerusalem, —by raising up a son of his after him, and by suffering Jerusalem to stand;

Sed pro David la Eternulo, lia Dio, donis al li lumilon en Jerusalem, starigante lian filon post li kaj subtenante Jerusalemon;

5 because David did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him, all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

pro tio, ke David faradis tion, kio plaĉas al la Eternulo, kaj dum sia tuta vivo ne forkliniĝis de ĉio, kion Li ordonis al li, krom la afero kun Urija, la Ĥetido.

6 And there was, war, between Rehoboam and Jeroboam, all the days of his life.

Kaj milito estis inter Reĥabeam kaj Jerobeam dum lia tuta vivo.

7 Now, the rest of the story of Abijah and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? And there was, war, between Abijah and Jeroboam.

La cetera historio de Abijam, kaj ĉio, kion li faris, estas priskribitaj en la libro de kroniko de la reĝoj de Judujo. Kaj milito estis inter Abijam kaj Jerobeam.

8 So then Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, —and, Asa his son, reigned, in his stead.

Kaj Abijam ekdormis kun siaj patroj, kaj oni enterigis lin en la urbo de David. Kaj anstataŭ li ekreĝis lia filo Asa.

9 Now, in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Asa to reign as king of Judah;

En la dudeka jaro de la reĝado de Jerobeam super Izrael ekreĝis Asa super Judujo.

10 and, forty-one years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.

Kaj kvardek unu jarojn li reĝis en Jerusalem. La nomo de lia patrino estis Maaĥa, filino de Abiŝalom.

11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —like David his father;

Kaj Asa agadis, kiel plaĉas al la Eternulo, kiel lia patro David.

12 and he put away the male devotees out of the land, —and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

Kaj li elpelis la malĉastistojn el la lando, kaj forigis ĉiujn idolojn, kiujn faris liaj patroj.

13 Moreover also, even Maachah his mother, he removed from being queen, because she had made a monstrous thing to the Sacred Stem, —and Asa cut down her monstrous thing and burned it in the Kidron ravine.

Kaj eĉ sian patrinon Maaĥa li senigis je ŝia titolo de reĝino, pro tio, ke ŝi faris idolon por Aŝtar. Kaj Asa dishakis ŝian idolon kaj forbruligis ĉe la torento Kidron.

14 But, the high places, removed he not, —nevertheless, the heart of Asa, was blameless with Yahweh, all his days.

Tamen la altaĵoj ne estis forigitaj; sed la koro de Asa estis perfekta ĉe la Eternulo dum lia tuta vivo.

15 And he brought in the hallowed things of his father, and his own hallowed things, into the house of Yahweh, —silver and gold, and vessels.

Li enportis en la domon de la Eternulo la konsekritaĵojn de sia patro kaj siajn proprajn konsekritaĵojn, arĝenton kaj oron kaj vazojn.

16 And there was, war, between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, all their days.

Kaj milito estis inter Asa kaj Baaŝa, reĝo de Izrael, dum ilia tuta vivo.

17 And Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, —so as not to suffer any one to come out or go in unto Asa king of Judah.

Kaj Baaŝa, reĝo de Izrael, iris kontraŭ Judujon, kaj li konstruis Raman, por bari la eliradon kaj eniradon al Asa, reĝo de Judujo.

18 So Asa took all the silver and the gold, that were left in the treasuries of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, and delivered them into the hand of his servants, —and King Asa sent them unto Ben-hadad, son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying:

Tiam Asa prenis la tutan arĝenton kaj oron, kiu restis en la trezorejo de la domo de la Eternulo kaj en la trezorejo de la reĝa domo, kaj donis tion en la manojn de siaj servantoj; kaj la reĝo Asa sendis ilin al Ben-Hadad, filo de Tabrimon, filo de Ĥezjon, reĝo de Sirio, kiu loĝis en Damasko, kaj dirigis al li:

19 [Let there be a] covenant between me and thee, [as] between my father and thy father: Lo! I have sent thee a gift, silver and gold, Come break thy covenant with Baasha, king of Israel, that he may go up from against me.

Estas interligo inter mi kaj vi, inter mia patro kaj via patro; jen mi sendas al vi donacon, arĝenton kaj oron; neniigu vian interligon kun Baaŝa, reĝo de Izrael, por ke li foriru de mi.

20 So Ben-hadad hearkened unto King Asa, and sent the generals of the forces which he had, against the cities of Israel, and smote Iyyohn [Ijon], and Dan, and Abel-beth-maacah, —and all Chinneroth, against all the land of Naphtali.

Kaj Ben-Hadad obeis la reĝon Asa, kaj sendis siajn militestrojn kontraŭ la urbojn de Izrael kaj venkobatis Ijonon kaj Danon kaj Abel-Bet-Maaĥan kaj la tutan Kineroton, la tutan landon de Naftali.

21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, he left off building Ramah, —and returned to Tirzah.

Kiam Baaŝa tion aŭdis, li ĉesis konstrui Raman kaj restis en Tirca.

22 And, King Asa, published it unto all Judah, none was exempted, so they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the beams thereof, wherewith Baasha had built, —and King Asa built therewith Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

Tiam la reĝo Asa kunvokis ĉiujn Judojn, sen escepto; kaj ili forportis la ŝtonojn de Rama kaj ĝian lignon, el kiuj Baaŝa faris la konstruadon; kaj la reĝo Asa konstruis el tio Geban de Benjamen kaj Micpan.

23 Now, the rest of all the story of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did and the cities which he built, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? Howbeit, in the time of his old age, he was diseased in his feet.

La cetera historio de Asa, kaj lia heroeco, kaj ĉio, kion li faris, kaj la urboj, kiujn li konstruis, estas priskribitaj en la libro de kroniko de la reĝoj de Judujo. Nur en sia maljuneco li malsaniĝis je siaj piedoj.

24 So then Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, —and, Jehoshaphat his son, reigned, in his stead.

Kaj Asa ekdormis kun siaj patroj, kaj oni enterigis lin kun liaj patroj en la urbo de lia patro David. Kaj anstataŭ li ekreĝis lia filo Jehoŝafat.

25 Now, Nadab son of Jeroboam, began to reign over Israel, in the second year of Asa king of Judah, —and he reigned over Israel, two years.

Nadab, filo de Jerobeam, fariĝis reĝo super Izrael en la dua jaro de Asa, reĝo de Judujo; kaj li reĝis super Izrael du jarojn.

26 And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin, wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin.

Kaj li faris malbonon antaŭ la okuloj de la Eternulo, kaj iris laŭ la vojo de sia patro kaj en liaj pekoj, per kiuj li pekigis Izraelon.

27 And Baasha son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him, and Baasha smote him in Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, —Nadab and all Israel being in siege against Gibbethon.

Kaj faris konspiron kontraŭ li Baaŝa, filo de Aĥija, el la domo de Isaĥar, kaj Baaŝa mortigis lin ĉe Gibeton de la Filiŝtoj, kiam Nadab kaj ĉiuj Izraelidoj sieĝis Gibetonon.

28 And Baasha slew him, in the third year of Asa king of Judah, —and reigned in his stead.

Kaj Baaŝa mortigis lin en la tria jaro de Asa, reĝo de Judujo, kaj ekreĝis anstataŭ li.

29 And it came to pass, when he became king, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam, he left not remaining any breathing thing pertaining to Jeroboam, until he had destroyed him, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:

Kaj kiam li fariĝis reĝo, li mortigis la tutan domon de Jerobeam; li ne restigis ĉe Jerobeam eĉ unu animon, ĝis li tute lin ekstermis, konforme al la vorto de la Eternulo, kiun Li diris per Sia servanto Aĥija, la Ŝiloano;

30 for the sins of Jeroboam which he committed, and which he caused, Israel, to commit, —by his provocation wherewith he provoked to anger Yahweh God of Israel.

pro la pekoj de Jerobeam, per kiuj li pekis kaj per kiuj li pekigis Izraelon, pro la incito, per kiu li kolerigis la Eternulon, Dion de Izrael.

31 Now, the rest of the story of Nadab, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

La cetera historio de Nadab, kaj ĉio, kion li faris, estas priskribitaj en la libro de kroniko de la reĝoj de Izrael.

32 And there was, war, between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, all their days.

Milito estis inter Asa kaj Baaŝa, reĝo de Izrael, dum ilia tuta vivo.

33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah, began Baasha, son of Ahijah, to reign over all Israel, in Tirzah, [and he reigned] twenty-four years.

En la tria jaro de Asa, reĝo de Judujo, ekreĝis Baaŝa, filo de Aĥija, super la tuta Izrael en Tirca por la daŭro de dudek kvar jaroj.

34 And he did that which was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he caused, Israel, to sin.

Kaj li faris malbonon antaŭ la okuloj de la Eternulo, kaj iris laŭ la vojo de Jerobeam kaj en liaj pekoj, per kiuj li pekigis Izraelon.
