< 1 John 1 >
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we for ourselves gazed upon, and our hands did handle, concerning the Word of Life, —
Ko ia naʻe ʻi ai talu mei he kamataʻanga, ʻaia naʻa mau ongoʻi, pea mamata ki ai ʻaki homau mata, pea mau vakai pau ki ai, pea ala ki ai homau nima, ki he Folofola ʻoe moʻui;
2 And, the Life, was made manifest, and we have seen, and are bearing witness, and announcing unto you, the Age-abiding Life, which, indeed, was with the Father, and was made manifest unto us; (aiōnios )
(He naʻe fakahā ʻae moʻui, pea naʻa mau mamata, pea fakamoʻoni, mo fakahā kiate kimoutolu ʻae moʻui taʻengata ko ia, ʻaia naʻe ʻi he Tamai, pea fakahā mai kiate kimautolu; ) (aiōnios )
3 That which we have seen and heard, are we announcing, even unto you, in order that, ye too, may have fellowship with us, and, our own fellowship also, may be with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
Pea ko ia ia kuo mau mamata mo ongoʻi ʻoku mau fakahā kiate kimoutolu, koeʻuhi ke tau feohi foki mo kimoutolu: pea ko e moʻoni ko ʻemau feohi ʻoku ʻi he Tamai, pea mo hono ʻAlo ko Sisu Kalaisi.
4 And, these things, are we writing, in order that, our joy, may be made full.
Pea ʻoku mau tohi ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni kiate kimoutolu, koeʻuhi ke fonu ai hoʻomou fiefia.
5 And this is the message which we have heard from him, and are reporting unto you, —that, God, is, light, and in him is, no darkness at all.
Ko eni ia ʻae fekau naʻa mau fanongo meiate ia, mo fakahā kiate kimoutolu, ko e maama ʻae ʻOtua, pea ʻoku ʻikai ʻiate ia ha fakapoʻuli siʻi.
6 If we say—We have, fellowship, with him! and, in darkness, are walking, we are dealing falsely, and not doing the truth;
Kapau ʻoku tau pehē, ʻoku tau feohi mo ia, kae ʻaʻeva ʻi he fakapoʻuli, ʻoku tau loi, pea ʻikai fai ki he moʻoni:
7 Whereas, if, in the light, we are walking, as, he, is in the light, we have, fellowship one with another, and, the blood of Jesus his Son, is cleansing us from all sin.
Pea ka tau ka ʻaʻeva ʻi he maama, ʻo hangē ʻoku ʻi he maama ia, ʻoku tau feohi mo ia, pea ko e taʻataʻa ʻo Sisu Kalaisi ko hono ʻAlo ʻoku ne fakamaʻa ʻakitautolu mei he angahala kotoa pē
8 If we say—Sin, have we none! we are deceiving, ourselves, and, the truth, is not in us.
Kapau te tau pehē, ʻoku ʻikai haʻatau angahala, ʻoku tau kākaaʻi ʻakitautolu, pea ʻoku ʻikai ʻiate kitautolu ʻae moʻoni.
9 If we are confessing our sins, faithful, is he and, righteous—that he should forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Kapau te tau vete ʻetau ngaahi angahala, ʻoku moʻoni mo angatonu ia ke fakamolemolea ʻetau ngaahi angahala, mo fakamaʻa ʻakitautolu mei he taʻemāʻoniʻoni kotoa pē.
10 If we say—We have not sinned! false, are we making, him, and, his word, is not in us.
Kapau te tau pehē, naʻe ʻikai te tau angahala, ʻoku tau lohiakiʻi ia, pea ʻoku ʻikai nofoʻia ʻakitautolu ʻe heʻene folofola.
