1 John 5
1 Whosoever believeth that, Jesus, is the Christ, of God, hath been born: and, whosoever loveth him that begat, loveth him that hath been begotten of him.

2 Hereby, perceive we, that we love the children of God, as soon as, God, we love, and, his commandments, we are doing.
Ku ekyo kwe tutegeerera nga twagala abaana ba Katonda, bwe twagala Katonda ne tukola by’atulagira.
3 For, this is the love of God—that, his commandments, we be keeping, and, his commandments, are not burdensome;
Kubanga okwagala kwa Katonda kwe kukola ebyo by’atulagira okukola. Okukola by’atulagira si kizibu,
4 Because, whatsoever hath been born of God, overcometh the world; and, this, is the victory that hath overcome the world—our faith.
kubanga buli mwana wa Katonda awangula ekibi n’okwegomba ensi, era kuno kwe kuwangula okwawangula ensi, kwe kukkiriza kwaffe.
5 [And] who is he that overcometh the world, save he that believeth that, Jesus, is the Son of God?
Naye ani ayinza okuwangula ensi okuggyako oyo akkiriza nti Yesu Mwana wa Katonda?
6 This, is he that came through means of water and blood, Jesus Christ: not, by the water, only, but, by the water and by the blood, —and, the Spirit, it is, that is bearing witness, because, the Spirit, is the truth.
Yesu Kristo oyo yennyini ye yajja n’amazzi n’omusaayi, si na mazzi, naye n’amazzi n’omusaayi. Era ne Mwoyo ekyo akikakasa kubanga Mwoyo ye mazima.
7 Because, three, are they who are bearing witness—
Waliwo okukakasa kwa mirundi esatu:
8 The Spirit, and the Water, and the Blood; and, the three, are, [witnesses], unto one thing.
Mwoyo Mutukuvu, n’amazzi, n’Omusaayi, era ebisatu ebyo bikkiriziganya.
9 If, the witness of men, we receive, the witness of God, is, greater. Because, this, is the witness of God—in that he hath borne witness concerning his Son, —
Obanga tukkiriza obujulirwa bw’abantu, obujulirwa bwa Katonda tusaana okubukkiriza ennyo n’okusingawo, kubanga bwe businga obukulu ng’ategeeza ku Mwana we.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the witness, within himself: He that doth not believe God, false, hath made him, —because he hath not believed on the witness which, God, hath witnessed, concerning his Son—
Kale buli akkiririza mu Mwana wa Katonda akyetegeezeza ddala ye yennyini. Oyo atakkiririza mu Katonda ng’amufudde mulimba, kubanga takkiriza ekyo Katonda ky’ayogera ku Mwana we.
11 And, this, is the witness: —that, life age-abiding, hath God given unto us, and, this life, is, in his Son: (aiōnios g166)
Era buno bwe bujulirwa nti: “Katonda yatuwa obulamu obutaggwaawo, era obulamu buno buli mu Mwana we.” (aiōnios g166)
12 He that hath the Son, hath, the life, —he that hath not the Son of God, hath not, the life.
Buli alina Omwana alina obulamu, naye oyo atalina Mwana wa Katonda talina bulamu.
13 These things, have I written unto you—in order that ye may know that ye have, Life Age-abiding—unto you who believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
Ebyo mbiwandiikidde mmwe abakkiriza erinnya ly’Omwana wa Katonda, mulyoke mumanye nti mulina obulamu obutaggwaawo. (aiōnios g166)
14 And, this, is the boldness which we have towards him: that, if, anything, we ask, according to his will, He doth hearken unto us.
Noolwekyo tulina obuvumu nti bwe tugenda gy’ali ne tumusaba ekintu kyonna, ye nga bw’asiima atuwulira.
15 And, if we know that he doth hearken unto us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the things asked, which we have asked of him,
Era bwe tutegeera nti atuwulira bwe tumusaba, buli kye tumusaba talema kukituwa.
16 If one should see his brother committing a sin, not unto death, he shall ask, and He will grant unto him life, —for them who are sinning, not unto death. There, is, a sin, unto death: not concerning that, am I saying, that he should make request.
Omuntu yenna bw’alaba muganda we ng’agudde mu kibi ekitali kya kufa, amusabirenga, Katonda talirema kumuwa bulamu. Njogera ku abo bokka abagwa mu kibi ekitali kya kufa.
17 All unrighteousness, is, sin, and there, is, a sin, not unto death.
Buli ekitali kya butuukirivu kibi, naye waliwo ekibi ekitaleetera muntu kufa.
18 We know that, whosoever hath been born of God, is not committing sin, —Nay, he that hath been born of God, He keepeth him, and, the wicked one, doth not touch him.
Tumanyi nga buli muntu yenna azaalibwa Katonda teyeeyongera kukola kibi, kubanga Katonda amukuuma, Setaani n’atamukola kabi.
19 We know that, of God, are we; and, the whole world, in the wicked one, is lying.
Tumanyi nga tuli ba Katonda, n’ensi yonna eri mu mikono gya Setaani.
20 We know, moreover, that, the Son of God, hath come, and hath given us insight, so that we are getting to understand, him that is Real, —and we are in him that is Real, in his Son Jesus Christ. This, is the Real God, and life age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
Era tumanyi ng’Omwana wa Katonda yajja mu nsi, n’atuwa okutegeera tumanye Katonda ow’amazima, era tuli mu oyo Katonda ow’amazima, ne mu Yesu Kristo Omwana we. Oyo ye Katonda ow’amazima n’obulamu obutaggwaawo. (aiōnios g166)
21 Dear children! Guard yourselves from idols.
Abaana abaagalwa, mwewalenga bakatonda abalala.
