1 John 3
1 Behold, what manner of love, the Father hath bestowed upon us—that, children of God, we should be called, —and such we are! Therefore, the world understandeth us not, because it understood not him.
Mira qué gran amor nos ha dado el Padre al nombrarnos hijos de Dios; Por esto él mundo no nos conoce, porque no le conoció a él.
2 Beloved! now, are we, children of God; and, not yet, hath it been made manifest, what we shall be, —We know that, if it should be made manifest, like unto him, shall we be, because we shall see him, just as he is.
Mis seres queridos, ahora somos hijos de Dios, y en este momento no se ha manifestado lo que debemos ser. Estamos seguros de que en su revelación seremos como él; porque lo veremos tal como es él.
3 And, whosoever hath this hope on him, is purifying himself, just as, He, is pure.
Y cualquiera que tiene esta esperanza en él se purifica así mismo, así como él es puro.
4 Whosoever is committing sin, lawlessness also, is committing, and, sin, is, lawlessness;
Todo el que es pecador va contra la ley, porque el pecado va contra la ley.
5 And ye know, that, He, was made manifest—in order that, our sins, he should take away, and, sin, in him, is there none.
Y saben que él apareció para quitar nuestros pecados; y que en él no hay pecado.
6 Whosoever, in him, doth abide, is not sinning: whosoever is sinning, hath not seen him, and doth not understand him.
Cualquiera que está en él no peca; cualquiera que es un pecador no lo ha visto y no tiene conocimiento de él.
7 Dear children! Let, no one, lead you astray! He that is doing righteousness, is, righteous, just as, He, is righteous:
Hijitos míos, nadie los engañe; el que hace justicia es justo, como él es justo;
8 He that is committing sin, is, of the adversary, because, from the beginning, the adversary is sinning. To this end, was the Son of God made manifest, in order that he might undo the works of the adversary.
El que practica el pecado es un hijo del diablo; porque el diablo ha sido un pecador desde el principio. Y el Hijo de Dios para esto apareció para poder poner fin a las obras del diablo.
9 Whosoever hath been born of God, is not committing, sin, because, a seed of him, within him, abideth; and he cannot be committing sin, because, of God, hath he been born.
Cualquiera que sea hijo de Dios no peca, porque todavía tiene la simiente de Dios en él; él no puede ser un pecador, porque Dios es su Padre.
10 Herein, are, manifest, the children of God, and the children of the adversary: Whoever is not doing righteousness, is not of God, nor yet he that is not loving his brother.
De esta manera está claro quiénes son los hijos de Dios y quiénes son los hijos del Maligno; cualquiera que no hace justicia o que no tiene amor por su hermano, no es hijo de Dios.
11 Because, this, is the message which ye have heard from the beginning—that we should be loving one another, —
Porque esta es la palabra que les fue dada desde el principio, que debemos amarnos unos a otros;
12 Not just as, Cain, was, of the wicked one, and slew his brother! And, for what cause, slew he him? Because, his works, were, wicked, whereas, those of his brother, were, righteous.
No siendo del Mal Uno como Caín, que mató a su hermano. ¿Y por qué lo mató? Porque sus obras eran malas y las obras de su hermano eran buenas.
13 Be not marveling, brethren, if, the world, is hating you:
No se sorprendan, mis hermanos, si el mundo no les ama.
14 We, know, that we have passed over out of death into life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth not, abideth in death.
Somos conscientes de que hemos salido de la muerte a la vida, debido a nuestro amor por los hermanos. El que no tiene amor todavía está en la muerte.
15 Whosoever is hating his brother, is, a murderer; and ye know that, no murderer, hath life age-during, within him abiding. (aiōnios g166)
Cualquiera que tenga odio por su hermano es un homicida, y puede estar seguro de que ningún homicida tiene vida eterna en él. (aiōnios g166)
16 Hereby, have we come to understand love: in that, He, for us, his life laid down; and, we, ought, for the brethren, our lives to lay down.
En esto vemos lo que es el amor, porque dio su vida por nosotros; y es correcto que entreguemos nuestras vidas por los hermanos.
17 But, whoso hath this world’s goods, and beholdeth his brother having, need, and shutteth up his tender affections from him, how, is, the love of God, abiding in him?
Pero si un hombre tiene los bienes de este mundo, y ve que su hermano está necesitado, y mantiene su corazón cerrado contra su hermano, ¿cómo es posible que el amor de Dios esté en él?
18 Dear children! Let us not be loving in word, nor yet with the tongue, but in deed and truth.
Hijitos Míos, no permitan que nuestro amor sea en palabra ni en lengua, sino que sea en acto y de buena fe.
19 Hereby, shall we get to know, that, of the truth, we are, and, before him, shall persuade our heart;
De esta manera podemos estar seguros de que somos verdaderos, y podemos dar a nuestro corazón consuelo ante él,
20 Because, if our own heart condemn us, greater, is God, than our heart, and perceiveth all things.
Pues si nuestro corazón nos dice que hemos hecho mal; Dios es mayor que nuestro corazón, y tiene conocimiento de todas las cosas.
21 Beloved! if our heart be not condemning us, boldness, have we, towards God;
Mis queridos hermanos, si nuestro corazón no dice que hemos hecho mal, no tenemos miedo delante de Dios.
22 And, whatsoever we are asking, we are receiving from him, because, his commandments, are we keeping, and, the things that are pleasing before him, are we doing.
Y él nos da todas nuestras peticiones, porque guardamos sus mandamientos hacemos las cosas que son agradables a sus ojos.
23 And, this, is his commandment, —that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and be loving one another—just as he gave a commandment unto us.
Y este es su mandamiento: , que creamos en el nombre de su Hijo Jesucristo, y nos amemos unos a otros, como él nos ha mandado.
24 And, he that keepeth his commandments, in him, abideth, and, he, in him. And, hereby, perceive we, that he abideth in us, by reason of the Spirit which, unto us, he hath given.
El que guarda sus mandamientos permanece en Dios y Dios está en él. Y el Espíritu que nos dio es nuestro testimonio de que él está en nosotros.
