1 John 2
1 My dear children! these things, am I writing unto you, in order that ye may not be committing sin. And, if anyone should commit sin, an Advocate, have we, with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous;
Meus filhinhos, estas coisas vos escrevo, para que não pequeis; e, se alguém pecar, temos um Advogado para com o Pai, Jesus Cristo, o justo.
2 And, he, is, a propitiation, concerning our sins, —and, not concerning our own only, but, also concerning those of the whole world.
E ele é a propiciação pelos nossos pecados, e não somente pelos nossos, mas também pelos de todo o mundo.
3 And, hereby, perceive we, that we understand him, —if, his commandments, we are keeping.
E nisto sabemos que o temos conhecido, se guardarmos os seus mandamentos.
4 He that saith—I understand him! And, his commandments, is not keeping, is false, and, in him, the truth is not!
Aquele que diz: Eu conheço-o, e não guarda os seus mandamentos, é mentiroso, e nele não está a verdade.
5 But whosoever may be keeping his word, of a truth, in this man, the love of God hath been made perfect. Hereby, perceive we, that, in him, we are.
Mas qualquer que guarda a sua palavra, o amor de Deus está nele verdadeiramente aperfeiçoado: nisto conhecemos que estamos nele.
6 He that saith, that, in him, he abideth, ought, just as He walked, himself also, to be walking.
Aquele que diz que está nele também deve andar como ele andou.
7 Beloved! no new commandment, am I writing unto you; but an old commandment, which ye have been holding from the beginning: The old commandment is the word which ye have heard.
Irmãos, não vos escrevo mandamento novo, mas o mandamento antigo, que desde o princípio tivestes. Este mandamento antigo é a palavra que desde o princípio ouvistes.
8 Again, a new commandment, am I writing unto you, —which thing is true, in him and in you, because, the darkness, is passing away, and, the real light, already is shining.
Outra vez vos escrevo um mandamento novo, que é verdadeiro nele e em vós; porque são passadas as trevas, e já a verdadeira luz alumia.
9 He that saith he is, in the light, and hateth, his brother, is, in the darkness, until even now!
Aquele que diz que está na luz, e aborrece a seu irmão, até agora está em trevas.
10 He that loveth his brother, is abiding, in the light, and, cause of stumbling, in him, is there none.
Aquele que ama a seu irmão está na luz, e nele não há escândalo.
11 Whereas, he that hateth his brother, in the darkness, dwelleth, and in the darkness, walketh; and knoweth not whither he is drifting, because the, darkness, hath blinded his eyes.
Mas aquele que aborrece a seu irmão está em trevas, e anda em trevas, e não sabe para onde vá; porque as trevas lhe cegaram os olhos.
12 I write unto you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven you, for the sake of his name:
Filhinhos, escrevo-vos, porque pelo seu nome vos são perdoados os pecados.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye understand him who was from the beginning: I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I have written unto you, little children, because ye understand the Father:
Pais, escrevo-vos, porque conhecestes Mancebos, escrevo-vos, porque vencestes o maligno. Filhos, escrevi-vos, porque conhecestes o Pai.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye understand him who was from the beginning: I have written you, young men, because ye are, strong, and the word of God, within you, abideth, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
Pais, escrevi-vos, porque já conhecestes aquele que é desde o princípio. Mancebos, escrevi-vos, porque sois fortes, e a palavra de Deus está em vós, e já vencestes o maligno.
15 Be not loving the world, nor yet the things that are in the world: if anyone be loving the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Não ameis o mundo, nem as coisas que há no mundo. Se alguém ama o mundo, o amor do Pai não está nele.
16 Because, all that is in the world—the coveting of the flesh, the coveting of the eyes, and the vain grandeur of life—is not of the Father, but is, of the world;
Porque tudo o que há no mundo, a concupiscência da carne, a concupiscência dos olhos e a soberba da vida, não é do Pai, mas é do mundo.
17 And, the world, passeth away, and the coveting [thereof], but, he that doeth the will of God, endureth unto times age-abiding. (aiōn g165)
E o mundo passa, e a sua concupiscência; mas aquele que faz a vontade de Deus permanece para sempre. (aiōn g165)
18 Little children! it is, the last hour; and, just as ye have heard that, an antichrist, is coming, even now, antichrists have become, many, whence we perceive that it is, the last hour:
Filhinhos, é já a última hora: e, como já ouvistes que vem o anti-cristo, também já agora muitos se tem feito anti-cristos; por onde conhecemos que é já a última hora.
19 From among us, they went out, but they were not of us; for, if, of us, they had been, they would in that case have abode with us; but [it came to pass] in order that they might be made manifest, because, all, are not of us.
Sairam de nós, porém não eram de nós; porque, se fossem de nós, ficariam conosco: mas isto é para que se manifestasse que não são todos de nós.
20 And, ye, have, an anointing, from the Holy One, —Ye all, know:
Mas vós tendes a unção do Santo, e sabeis todas as coisas.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and because, no falsehood, is, of the truth.
Não vos escrevi porque não soubesseis a verdade, mas porquanto a sabeis, e porque nenhuma mentira é da verdade.
22 Who, is the False One; —save he that denieth that, Jesus, is the Christ? The same, is the Antichrist, —he that denieth the Father and the Son.
Quem é o mentiroso, senão aquele que nega que Jesus é o Cristo? Esse é o anti-cristo, que nega o Pai e o Filho.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, neither hath he, the Father: He that confesseth the Son, hath, the Father also.
Qualquer que nega o Filho, também não tem o Pai; e aquele que confessa o Filho, tem também o Pai.
24 As for you, what ye have heard from the beginning, in you, let it abide. If, in you, shall abide, that which, from the beginning, ye have heard, ye also, in the Son, and [in] the Father, shall abide.
Portanto o que desde o princípio ouvistes permaneça em vós. Se em vós permanecer o que desde o princípio ouvistes, também permanecereis no Filho e no Pai.
E esta é a promessa que ele nos prometeu: a vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
26 These things, have I written unto you, concerning them who would lead you astray.
Estas coisas vos escrevi acerca dos que vos enganam.
27 And, as for you, the anointing which ye have received from him, abideth in you, and ye have, no need, that anyone be teaching you; but, as, his anointing, is teaching you, and is, true, and is no falsehood, even just as it hath taught you, abide ye in him.
E a unção que vós recebestes dele fica em vós, e não tendes necessidade de que alguém vos ensine; mas, como a mesma unção vos ensina todas as coisas, e é verdadeira, e não é mentira, e como ela vos ensinou, assim nele ficareis.
28 And, now, dear children, abide ye in him, in order that, if he be made manifest, we may have boldness, and not be shamed away from him by his presence.
E agora, filhinhos, permanecei nele; para que, quando se manifestar, tenhamos confiança, e não sejamos confundidos por ele na sua vinda.
29 If ye know that he is, righteous, ye perceive that—whosoever doeth righteousness, of him, hath been born.
Se sabeis que ele é justo, sabeis que todo aquele que obra a justiça é nascido dele.
