< 1 Corinthians 9 >

1 Am not free? Am I not an apostle? Jesus our Lord, have I not seen? Are not, ye, my work, in the Lord?
¿La man kꞌu yaꞌtal chwe in kinbꞌano ri kawaj? ¿La man kꞌu wilom in ri Ajawxel Jesús? ¿La man kꞌu wumal we in xixkojon che ri Cristo?
2 If, unto others, I am not an apostle, certainly at least, unto you, I am; for, the seal of my apostleship, ye, are in the Lord.
Pune e kꞌo man kakikoj taj chi inutaqoꞌn ri Dios. Ri ix kꞌut kikojo. Jeriꞌ rumal ri ix, ix retal chi qas inutaqoꞌn pa ri Ajawxel.
3 My defence, unto them who are examining me, is this:
Ri tobꞌal wibꞌ chikiwach ri kinkiyoqꞌo are we riꞌ:
4 Have we not a right to eat and drink?
¿La man kꞌu yaꞌtal chaqe uj kujwaꞌik xuqujeꞌ kujqumunik?
5 Have we not a right to take round, a sister wife, —as even the rest of the apostles, and the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
¿La man kꞌu yaꞌtal chaqe kaqakꞌam bꞌik ri qixoqil qukꞌ jetaq ri kakibꞌan ri Pedro, ri e rachalal ri Jesús, xuqujeꞌ ri nikꞌaj taqoꞌn chik?
6 Or have, only I and Barnabas, not a right to forbear working?
¿La xaq xwi kꞌu ri Bernabé rachiꞌl ri in, man yaꞌtal ta chaqe kujchakunik?
7 Who serveth as a soldier, at his own charges, at any time? Who planteth a vineyard, —and, the fruit thereof, doth not eat? [Or] who shepherdeth a flock, —and, of the milk of the flock, doth not eat?
¿La kꞌo kꞌu jun ajchꞌoꞌj chajil tinimit are katojow ronojel ri kajawataj che? ¿La kꞌo kꞌu jun ajchak riꞌ ri kutik uvas ri mat kutij rech ri uvas? ¿La kꞌo kꞌu jun ajyuqꞌ riꞌ ri kuꞌchajij ri wakax man kutij ta kꞌu rech ri leche ri kuyitzꞌo?
8 Is it, after the manner of men, that these things I am saying? Or doth not, even the law, the same things, say?
Michomaj chi xaq pa we wi kinbꞌij we jastaq riꞌ. ¿La man kꞌu jewaꞌ kubꞌij ri taqanik?
9 For, in the law of Moses, it is written—Thou shalt not muzzle an ox when it is treading out the corn: —Is it, for the oxen, God is caring?
Kubꞌij pa ri utaqanik ri Moisés: Makoj chim chutzaꞌm ri wakax ri kayaqꞌow ri tiriko. ¿La qas kꞌu are ri wakax riꞌ ri kakꞌaxir ranimaꞌ ri Dios chike
10 Or, for our sakes altogether, is he saying it? For our sakes, it was written; because, he that ploweth, ought, to plow, in hope, —and, he that thresheth, [to thresh] in hope of partaking.
o xa rumal qe uj kubꞌij? Qas tzij wi, xa rumal qe uj kubꞌij, rumal chi ri ajchak are kuchapleꞌj uchakuxik ri ulew rech kabꞌan ri tikoꞌn xuqujeꞌ ri bꞌiqol rech ri uwach kuchapleꞌj chak, kakibꞌano we chak riꞌ kuꞌl kikꞌuꞌx chi kakiriq ke ri uwach ri tikoꞌn.
11 If, we, unto you, the things of the Spirit have sown, is it a great matter, if, we, of you, the things of the flesh shall reap?
We qatikom ijaꞌ rech ri uxlabꞌal pa taq iwanimaꞌ ¿la sibꞌalaj nim kꞌu ri kel wi chiꞌwe we kiya tobꞌanik chaqe ri kajawataj chaqe uj rech kujkꞌasiꞌk?
12 If, others, of this right, over you, are partaking, [should] not rather, we? nevertheless, we used not this right; but, all [such] things, do we conceal, —lest we should cause any hindrance unto the glad message of the Christ.
We kakikꞌam ke nikꞌaj iwukꞌ, ¿la man kꞌu taqal chaqe uj kaqakꞌam xuqujeꞌ qe? Pune jeriꞌ xqaqꞌiꞌo man xqatoqꞌij taj ri yaꞌtal chaqe, xqaqꞌiꞌo rech man kujux taj topibꞌal aqanaj pa ri utz laj taq tzij rech ri Cristo.
13 Know ye not that, they who labour in the holy rites, do eat the provisions out of the holy place? They who at the altar wait, do, with the altar, share?
¿La man iwetaꞌm chi ri kepatanij pa ri Templo xuqujeꞌ ri kakilij patanijem cho ri tzujbꞌal, chilaꞌ kakikꞌam wi ke ri tijowik rij?
14 Thus, also, hath the Lord, appointed—that, they who the glad message tell, should, of the glad-message, live.
Ri Ajawxel xtaqanik rech ri kakitzijoj ri utz laj tzij kikꞌamawaꞌj ri tojbꞌal ke chilaꞌ.
15 I, however, have not used any of these things; and have not written these things, in order that, so it should be done, in my case; for it were, good for me, rather to die than——my boast, shall, no man, make void!
Man nukꞌamom ta kꞌu we che ri yaꞌtal bꞌe chwe, xuqujeꞌ matajin ta kintzꞌibꞌaj we riꞌ chuchꞌaik chiꞌwe. Are katanik kinkamik cho ri kinqꞌatex che ri qas kawaj kinbꞌano.
16 For, if I be telling the glad-message, it is, with me, no matter of boasting; for, necessity, upon me, lieth, —for it is, Woe to me, if I should not be telling the glad-message;
Pune jeriꞌ, kintzijoj ri utz laj taq tzij, man rukꞌ ta nimal, rumal cher are waꞌ ri yaꞌtalik kinbꞌano. ¡Kꞌax we, we man kintzijoj ri utz laj taq tzij!
17 For, if, by choice, this thing I am doing, I have, a reward; but, if not by choice, with a stewardship, have I been entrusted!
Qas tzij wi we kinbꞌan rukꞌ ronojel wanimaꞌ, kayaꞌtaj na tojbꞌal we, we kꞌu kinbꞌano rumal xa kintaqchiꞌx chubꞌanik, xaq xwi tajin kinbꞌan riꞌ ri xintaq che.
18 What, then, is my reward? that, in telling the glad-message, free of cost, I should put the glad-message, —to the end I should not use to the full my right in the glad-message.
¿Jas kꞌu tojbꞌal we kinriqo? Xaq xwi kintzijoj ri utz laj taq tzij, man kinta ta pwaq are kintzijoj ri utz laj tzij, rech man kinbꞌan taj ri yaꞌtal bꞌe chwe kinbꞌano.
19 For, though free from all, unto all, myself, I enslaved, —that, the larger number, I might win:
Pune maj nukꞌas xa ta ne rukꞌ jun, xinux kꞌu ajchak kech, rech jeriꞌ sibꞌalaj e kꞌi keꞌnchꞌeko.
20 Therefore became I, to the Jews, as, a Jew, —that, Jews, I might win; to them who were under law, as, under law, not being, myself, under law, —that, them who were under law, I might win;
Xinux aj Israel chikixoꞌl ri winaq aꞌj Israel, rech jeriꞌ xeꞌnchꞌeko. Are xinkꞌojiꞌ kukꞌ ri e kꞌo chuxeꞌ ri taqanik rech ri Moisés je xinnoꞌjin kukꞌ (pune man in kꞌo in chuxeꞌ ri taqanik) rech jeriꞌ xeꞌnchꞌeko.
21 To them who were without law, as, without law, —not being without law to God, but lawfully subject to Christ, —that I might win them who were without law.
Chikixoꞌl ri man e kꞌo ta chuxeꞌ ri taqanik, xinnoꞌjinik jetaq ri man kꞌo ta chuxeꞌ ri taqanik, (pune man in qꞌatal ta che ri utaqanik ri Dios, xane qas uchapom na kꞌuꞌx rukꞌ ri utaqanik ri Cristo) rech jeriꞌ keꞌnchꞌek ri man e kꞌo taj chuxeꞌ ri taqanik.
22 I became, unto the weak, weak, —that, the weak, I might win; —to all men, have I become all things, that, by all means, some, I might save.
Xinbꞌano chi maj nuchuqꞌabꞌ are xinkꞌojiꞌ kukꞌ ri maj kichuqꞌabꞌ rech jeriꞌ xeꞌnchꞌek ri maj kichuqꞌabꞌ. Xinbꞌan ronojel uwach rech jeriꞌ xeꞌnchꞌeko pune xa e jujun chike konojel.
23 But, all things, am I doing, for the sake of the glad-message, that a joint-partaker thereof, I may become.
Kibꞌano ronojel we riꞌ xa rumal rech ri utz laj taq tzij, rech jeriꞌ kꞌo we che ri uwachinik.
24 Know ye not that, they who, in a racecourse, run, all, indeed, run, —but, one, receiveth the prize? So, be running, that ye may lay hold.
¿La man iwetaꞌm chi are kabꞌan jun xikꞌanem, konojel ri xikꞌanelabꞌ kakitij chuqꞌabꞌ, pune jeriꞌ xa jun kachꞌekow ri tojbꞌal? Xaq jeriꞌ chixxikꞌanoq rech kayaꞌtaj na chiꞌwe ri tojbꞌal.
25 But, every man who striveth in the games, in all things, useth self-control; —they, indeed, then, that a corruptible crown, they may receive; but, we, an incorruptible!
Konojel ri koꞌk pa jun tijoj anim, kakitijoj kibꞌ rukꞌ sukꞌal. We winaq riꞌ kakibꞌan we jastaq riꞌ rech kakichꞌek ri tojbꞌal ke ri kasach uwach, ri uj kꞌut kaqatijoj qibꞌ rech kaqachꞌek jun tojbꞌal qe ri man kasach ta uwach.
26 I, therefore, so, am running, as, not uncertainly, so, am boxing, as not thrashing air;
Xaq jeriꞌ, ri in man kinxikꞌan taj jetaq ri winaq ri man ketaꞌm taj jawjeꞌ kꞌopan wi; xuqujeꞌ man kinbꞌan ta chꞌoꞌj jetaq ri xaq kyaqiqꞌ kuchꞌayo.
27 But am beating my body under, and leading it captive, lest, by any means, —unto others, having proclaimed, [the contest], I myself, should be rejected.
Xane kinchꞌey wibꞌ xuqujeꞌ in kabꞌan we puꞌwiꞌ ri nutyoꞌjal, jeriꞌ rumal pune xintzijoj ri utzij ri Dios chike nikꞌaj chik, makawaj taj in kinel kanoq.
