1 Corinthians 4
1 Let a man, so, be reckoning of us, as officers of Christ, and stewards of sacred secrets of God.
यसरी कुनै व्यक्तिले हामीलाई ख्रीष्टका सेवकहरू र परमेश्वरको गोप्य सत्यताको भण्डारे ठान्नुपर्छ ।
2 Here, furthermore, it is sought in stewards, that, faithful, one be found.
यस सम्बन्धमा, भण्डारेहरू विश्वासयोग्य हुन आवश्यक छ ।
3 With me, however, it counteth for the very smallest thing, that, by you, I should be examined, or by a human day. Nay! I am not even examining myself,
तर म तिमीहरूबाट र मानिसको अदालतबाट जाँचिनु मेरो निम्ति अति सानो कुरा हो । किनकि म आफैँ पनि मेरो जाँच गर्दिनँ ।
4 For, of nothing, to myself, am I conscious: nevertheless, not hereby, am I declared righteous, but, he that doth examine me, is the Lord.
मेरो विरुद्धमा कुनै अभियोग भएको मलाई थाहा छैन, तर यसको अर्थ म निर्दोष छु भन्ने चाहिँ होइन । परमेश्वरले नै मेरो न्याय गर्नुहुन्छ ।
5 So then, not before the fitting time, be judging anything, —until the Lord shall come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and, then, the praise shall come to each one, from God.
यसकारण समय आउनुभन्दा अगि वा येशू आउनुभन्दा अगि कुनै पनि कुराको बारेमा न्याय नगर । उहाँले अन्धकारमा लुकाइएका कुराहरूलाई ज्योतिमा ल्याउनुहुनेछ, र हृदयका उद्देश्यहरू प्रकट गर्नुहुनेछ । त्यसपछि हरेकले परमेश्वरबाट आफ्नो प्रशंसा पाउनेछ ।
6 But, these things, brethren, have I transferred unto myself and Apollos, for your sakes, that, in us, ye might learn [the lesson] —Not beyond the things that are written…! that ye do not puff yourselves up, individually, for this one against that.
अब भाइहरू हो, तिमीहरूका खातिर मैले र अपोल्लोसले यी सिद्धान्तहरू प्रयोग गर्यौँ, ताकि तिमीहरूले “जे लेखिएको छ, त्योभन्दा बाहिर नजाऊ” भन्ने भनाइको अर्थ बुझ्न सकौला । तिमीहरू एउटाको पक्षमा लागेर अर्काको विरुद्धमा नलाग भनेर यो भएको हो ।
7 For who maketh thee to differ? and what hast thou which thou didst not receive? But, if thou didst even receive it, why dost thou boast, as though thou hadst not received it?
किनकि कसले तिमीहरू र अरू मानिसहरूका बिचमा फरक देख्छ? तिमीहरूसँग भएको कुन कुरा तिमीहरूले सितैँमा पाएका होइनौ र? तिमीहरूले त्यो सितैँमा पाएका छौ भने तिमीहरूले त्यसरी नपाएको झैँ गरेर किन घमण्ड गर्छौ?
8 Already, ye have become full, already, ye are become rich, —apart from us, ye are become kings! And I would indeed ye had become kings, that, we also, with you, might have together become kings!
तिमीहरूले चाहने कुराहरू तिमीहरूले अगाडि नै पाइसकेका छौ! तिमीहरू अगिबाटै धनी भएका छौ! तिमीहरूले हामीविना नै शासन गर्न सुरु गरेका छौ! वास्तवमा, तिमीहरूले शासन गर भन्ने म चाहन्छु ताकि हामी पनि तिमीहरूसँगै शासन गर्न सकौँ ।
9 For I think that, God, hath set forth, us the apostles, to be last of all, as men devoted to death, —in that, a spectacle, have we been made, unto the world, —both unto messengers and unto men.
किनकि मलाई यस्तो लाग्छ कि परमेश्वरले हामी प्रेरितहरूलाई मृत्युदण्ड पाउन लागेका मानिसहरूलाई जस्तै मारिनेको भिडको पछिल्लो लहरमा प्रदर्शनमा राख्नुभएको छ । हामी संसार, स्वर्गदूतहरू र मानिसहरूका बिचमा तमाशा भएका छौँ ।
10 We, are foolish for Christ’s sake, but, ye, prudent in Christ; we are weak, but, ye, mighty; ye, all-glorious, but, we, dishonoured.
हामी ख्रीष्टको निम्ति मूर्ख छौँ, तर तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टमा बुद्धिमानी छौ । हामी दुर्बल छौँ, तर तिमीहरू बलिया छौ । तिमीहरूले आदर पाएका छौ, तर हामीले अनादर पाएका छौँ ।
11 Until the present hour, we both hunger and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and are wanderers,
यो वर्तमान घडीमा हामी भोकाएका र तिर्खाएका छौँ; हाम्रा कपडाहरू फाटिएका छन्; हामी नराम्ररी कुटिएका छौँ; हामी घरवारविहीन भएका छौँ ।
12 And toil, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless, being persecuted, we hold on,
हामी आफ्नै हातले कडा परिश्रम गर्दछौँ । मानिसहरूले गिल्ला गर्दा हामी तिनीहरूलाई आशिष् दिन्छौँ । सतावटमा पर्दा हामी सहन्छौँ ।
13 Being defamed, we beseech: as the sweepings of the world have we become, the offscouring of all—until even now.
मानिसले हामीलाई निन्दा गर्दा हामी दयापूर्वक बोल्छौँ । हामी संसारले इन्कार गरेको फोहोर कुराहरू र सबैभन्दा घिनलाग्दा कुराहरूजस्ता भएका छौँ र अझ पनि हामीलाई यस्तै ठानिन्छ ।
14 Not, to shame you, write I these things; but, as my beloved children, I admonish you.
तिमीहरूलाई शर्ममा पार्न मैले यो कुरा लेखेको होइनँ, तर मेरा प्रिय बालकहरूको रूपमा तिमीहरूलाई सुधार गर्नको निम्ति लेख्छु ।
15 For, though myriads of tutors ye should have in Christ, yet not many fathers; for, in Christ Jesus, through means of the joyful message, I, begat you.
किनकि ख्रीष्टमा तिमीहरूका दस हजार अभिभावक भए तापनि तिमीहरूका धेरै जना पिता छैनन् । किनकि सुसमाचारद्वारा म ख्रीष्टमा तिमीहरूका पिता बनेँ ।
16 I beseech you, therefore, —become imitators of me.
त्यसैले, मेरो अनुकरण गर्ने होओ भनी म तिमीहरूलाई आग्रह गर्छु ।
17 For this cause, sent I unto you, Timothy, —who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who shall put, you, in mind of my ways which are in Christ [Jesus], even as, everywhere, in every assembly, I teach.
यसकारण, मैले तिमीहरूकहाँ मेरा प्रिय र प्रभुमा विश्वासयोग्य बालक तिमोथीलाई पठाएँ । मैले हरेक स्थान र हरेक मण्डलीमा सिकाएबमोजिम ख्रीष्टमा मेरो जीवन कस्तो छ सो उनले तिमीहरूलाई सम्झना गराउनेछन् ।
18 But, as though I were not coming unto you, some are puffed up!
म फेरि तिमीहरूकहाँ आउँदिनँ भन्ने ठानेर तिमीहरूमध्ये कोही अहङ्कारी भएका छन् ।
19 Howbeit, I will come quickly unto you, —if, the Lord, please, —and will get to know—not the speech of them who are puffed up, but, the power;
तर यदि परमेश्वरको इच्छा भयो भने म त्यहाँ चाँडै नै आउनेछु । त्यसपछि म ती अहङ्कारीहरूको कुरा मात्र होइन, तर तिनीहरूको शक्ति हेर्नेछु ।
20 For, not in speech, is the kingdom of God, but, in power.
किनकि परमेश्वरको राज्य कुरामा होइन, तर शक्तिमा छ ।
21 What will ye? that, with a rod, I should come unto you? or, with love, and a spirit of meekness?
तिमीहरू के चाहन्छौ? म तिमीहरूकहाँ कसरी आऊँ, छडी लिएर वा प्रेम र नम्रताको आत्मामा?
