1 Corinthians 3
1 I, therefore, brethren, have not been able to speak unto you, as unto men of the Spirit, but as unto men of the flesh—as unto babes in Christ: —
Kardeşler, ben sizinle ruhsal kişilerle konuşur gibi konuşamadım. Benliğe uyanlarla, Mesih'te henüz bebeklik çağında olanlarla konuşur gibi konuştum.
2 With milk, have I fed you, not, with meat; for, not yet, have ye been able; —nay! not [yet] even now, are ye able,
Size süt verdim, katı yiyecek değil. Çünkü katı yiyeceği henüz yiyemiyordunuz. Şimdi bile yiyemezsiniz.
3 For ye are yet fleshly. For, whereas there are, among you, jealousy and strife, are ye not, fleshly, and, after the manner of men, walking?
Çünkü hâlâ benliğe uyuyorsunuz. Aranızda kıskançlık ve çekişme olması, benliğe uyduğunuzu, öbür insanlar gibi yaşadığınızı göstermiyor mu?
4 For, as soon as one beginneth to say—I, indeed, am of Paul! and another—I, of Apollos! are ye not, men?
Biriniz, “Ben Pavlus yanlısıyım”, ötekiniz, “Ben Apollos yanlısıyım” diyorsa, öbür insanlardan ne farkınız kalır?
5 What then is Apollos? and, what is Paul? ministers through whom ye believed, and, each, as the Lord, gave to him.
Apollos kim, Pavlus kim? İman etmenize aracı olmuş hizmetkârlardır. Rab her birimize bir görev vermiştir.
6 I, planted, Apollos, watered, —but, God, caused to, grow.
Tohumu ben ektim, Apollos suladı. Ama Tanrı büyüttü.
7 So that, [neither] is he that planteth anything, nor, he that watereth, —but, God, who causeth to, grow.
Önemli olan, eken ya da sulayan değil, ekileni büyüten Tanrı'dır.
8 Moreover, he that planteth and he that watereth, are one: —howbeit, each one, his own reward, shall receive, —according to his own labour.
Ekenle sulayanın değeri birdir. Her biri kendi emeğinin karşılığını alacaktır.
9 For we are, God’s, fellow-workmen: ye are, God’s, farm, God’s building.
Biz Tanrı'nın emektaşlarıyız. Sizler de Tanrı'nın tarlası, Tanrı'nın binasısınız.
10 According to the favour of God which hath been given unto me, as a wise master-builder, I laid a foundation, whereas, another, is building thereon; but, let each one, see, how he buildeth thereon;
Tanrı'nın bana lütfettiği görev uyarınca bilge bir mimar gibi temel attım, başkaları da bu temel üzerine inşa ediyor. Herkes nasıl inşa ettiğine dikkat etsin.
11 For, other foundation, can, no one, lay, than that which is lying, which is, Jesus Christ.
Çünkü hiç kimse atılan temelden, yani İsa Mesih'ten başka bir temel atamaz.
12 But, if anyone is building, upon the foundation—gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
Bu temel üzerine kimi altın, gümüş ya da değerli taşlarla, kimi de tahta, ot ya da kamışla inşa edecek.
13 Each one’s work, shall be made, manifest; for, the day, will make it plain, because, by fire, is it to be revealed, —and, each one’s work, of what sort it is, the fire itself will prove: —
Herkesin yaptığı iş belli olacak, yargı günü ortaya çıkacak. Herkesin işi ateşle açığa vurulacak. Ateş her işin niteliğini sınayacak.
14 If, anyone’s work, shall abide, which he built, a reward, shall he receive, —
Bir kimsenin inşa ettikleri ateşe dayanırsa, o kimse ödülünü alacak.
15 If, anyone’s work, shall be burnt up, he shall suffer loss, but shall, himself, be saved—though, thus, as through fire.
Yaptıkları yanarsa, zarar edecek. Kendisi kurtulacak, ama ateşten geçmiş gibi olacaktır.
16 Know ye not that ye are a shrine of God, and that the Spirit of God within you doth dwell?
Tanrı'nın tapınağı olduğunuzu, Tanrı'nın Ruhu'nun sizde yaşadığını bilmiyor musunuz?
17 If anyone doth mar the shrine of God, God, will mar him; for the shrine of God is holy, —and such are ye.
Kim Tanrı'nın tapınağını yıkarsa, Tanrı da onu yıkacak. Çünkü Tanrı'nın tapınağı kutsaldır ve o tapınak sizsiniz.
18 Let no one be deceiving himself: —if anyone imagineth himself to be wise among you, in this age, let him become foolish, that he may become wise; (aiōn g165)
Kimse kendini aldatmasın. Aranızdan biri bu çağın ölçülerine göre kendini bilge sanıyorsa, bilge olmak için “akılsız” olsun! (aiōn g165)
19 For, the wisdom of this world, is, foolishness with God; for it is written—He that taketh the wise in their knavery, —
Çünkü bu dünyanın bilgeliği Tanrı'nın gözünde akılsızlıktır. Yazılmış olduğu gibi, “O, bilgeleri kurnazlıklarında yakalar.”
20 And again—The Lord taketh note of the speculations of the wise, that they are vain.
Yine, “Rab bilgelerin düşüncelerinin boş olduğunu bilir” diye yazılmıştır.
21 So then, let, no one, be boasting in men; for, all things, are yours—
Bu nedenle hiç kimse insanlarla övünmesin. Çünkü her şey sizindir.
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come, all, are, yours,
Pavlus, Apollos, Kefas, dünya, yaşam ve ölüm, şimdiki ve gelecek zaman, her şey sizindir.
23 And, ye, are Christ’s, —and, Christ, is, God’s.
Siz Mesih'insiniz, Mesih de Tanrı'nındır.
