1 Corinthians 3
1 I, therefore, brethren, have not been able to speak unto you, as unto men of the Spirit, but as unto men of the flesh—as unto babes in Christ: —
兄弟よ、われ靈に屬する者に對する如く汝らに語ること能はず、反つて肉に屬するもの、即ちキリストに在る幼兒に對する如く語れり。
2 With milk, have I fed you, not, with meat; for, not yet, have ye been able; —nay! not [yet] even now, are ye able,
われ汝らに乳のみ飮ませて堅き食物を與へざりき。汝 等そのとき食ふこと能はざりし故なり。
3 For ye are yet fleshly. For, whereas there are, among you, jealousy and strife, are ye not, fleshly, and, after the manner of men, walking?
今もなほ食ふこと能はず、今もなほ肉に屬する者なればなり。汝らの中に嫉妬と紛爭とあるは、これ肉に屬する者にして世の人の如くに歩むならずや。
4 For, as soon as one beginneth to say—I, indeed, am of Paul! and another—I, of Apollos! are ye not, men?
或 者は『われパウロに屬す』といひ、或 者は『われアポロに屬す』と言ふ、これ世の人の如くなるにあらずや。
5 What then is Apollos? and, what is Paul? ministers through whom ye believed, and, each, as the Lord, gave to him.
アポロは何 者ぞ、パウロは何 者ぞ、彼 等はおのおの主の賜ふところに隨ひ、汝らをして信ぜしめたる役者に過ぎざるなり。
6 I, planted, Apollos, watered, —but, God, caused to, grow.
我は植ゑ、アポロは水 灌げり、されど育てたるは神なり。
7 So that, [neither] is he that planteth anything, nor, he that watereth, —but, God, who causeth to, grow.
されば種うる者も、水 灌ぐ者も數ふるに足らず、ただ尊きは育てたまふ神なり。
8 Moreover, he that planteth and he that watereth, are one: —howbeit, each one, his own reward, shall receive, —according to his own labour.
種うる者も、水 灌ぐ者も歸する所は一つなれど、各自おのが勞に隨ひて其の値を得べし。
9 For we are, God’s, fellow-workmen: ye are, God’s, farm, God’s building.
我らは神と共に働く者なり。汝らは神の畠なり、また神の建築物なり。
10 According to the favour of God which hath been given unto me, as a wise master-builder, I laid a foundation, whereas, another, is building thereon; but, let each one, see, how he buildeth thereon;
我は神の賜ひたる恩惠に隨ひて、熟錬なる建築師のごとく基を据ゑたり、而して他の人その上に建つるなり。然れど如何にして建つべきか、おのおの心して爲すべし、
11 For, other foundation, can, no one, lay, than that which is lying, which is, Jesus Christ.
既に置きたる基のほかは誰も据うること能はず、この基は即ちイエス・キリストなり。
12 But, if anyone is building, upon the foundation—gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
人もし此の基の上に金・銀・寳石・木・草・藁をもつて建てなば、
13 Each one’s work, shall be made, manifest; for, the day, will make it plain, because, by fire, is it to be revealed, —and, each one’s work, of what sort it is, the fire itself will prove: —
各人の工は顯るべし。かの日これを明かにせん、かの日は火をもつて顯れ、その火おのおのの工の如何を驗すべければなり。
14 If, anyone’s work, shall abide, which he built, a reward, shall he receive, —
その建つる所の工、もし保たば値を得、
15 If, anyone’s work, shall be burnt up, he shall suffer loss, but shall, himself, be saved—though, thus, as through fire.
もし其の工 燒けなば損すべし。然れど己は火より脱れ出づる如くして救はれん。
16 Know ye not that ye are a shrine of God, and that the Spirit of God within you doth dwell?
汝ら知らずや、汝らは神の宮にして、神の御靈なんぢらの中に住み給ふを。
17 If anyone doth mar the shrine of God, God, will mar him; for the shrine of God is holy, —and such are ye.
人もし神の宮を毀たば神かれを毀ち給はん。それ神の宮は聖なり、汝らも亦かくの如し。
18 Let no one be deceiving himself: —if anyone imagineth himself to be wise among you, in this age, let him become foolish, that he may become wise; (aiōn g165)
誰も自ら欺くな。汝 等のうち此の世にて自ら智しと思ふ者は、智くならんために愚なる者となれ。 (aiōn g165)
19 For, the wisdom of this world, is, foolishness with God; for it is written—He that taketh the wise in their knavery, —
そは此の世の智慧は神の前に愚なればなり。録して『彼は智者をその惡巧によりて捕へ給ふ』
20 And again—The Lord taketh note of the speculations of the wise, that they are vain.
また『主は智者の念の虚しきを知り給ふ』とあるが如し。
21 So then, let, no one, be boasting in men; for, all things, are yours—
さらば誰も人を誇とすな、萬の物は汝らの有なればなり。
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come, all, are, yours,
或はパウロ、或はアポロ、或はケパ、或は世界、あるひは生、あるひは死、あるひは現在のもの、或は未來のもの、皆なんぢらの有なり。
23 And, ye, are Christ’s, —and, Christ, is, God’s.
汝 等はキリストの有、キリストは神のものなり。
