1 Corinthians 12
1 But, concerning the spiritually gifted, brethren, I am not wishing you to be ignorant.
Y ACERCA de los [dones] espirituales, no quiero, hermanos, que ignoreis.
2 Ye know that, when ye were of the nations, unto the dumb idols, howsoever ye were being led, ye were seduced.
Sabeis que cuando erais Gentiles ibais, como erais llevados, á los ídolos mudos.
3 Wherefore, I give you to know—that, no one, in God’s Spirit speaking, saith—Accursed Jesus! and, no one, can say—Lord Jesus! save in [the] Holy Spirit.
Por tanto os hago saber, que nadie que hable por Espíritu de Dios, llama anatema á Jesus, y [que] nadie puede llamar á Jesus Señor, sino por Espíritu Santo.
4 But, distributions of gifts, there are, yet the same Spirit,
Empero hay repartimientos de dones; mas el mismo Espíritu [es.]
5 And, distributions of ministries, there are, and the same Lord,
Y hay repartimientos de ministerios; mas el mismo Señor [es.]
6 And, distributions of energies, there are, and the same God—who energiseth all things in all.
Y hay repartimientos de operaciones; mas el mismo Dios es el que obra todas las cosas en todos.
7 But, unto each one, is given the manifesting of the Spirit, with a view to that which is profitable;
Empero á cada uno le es dada manifestacion del Espíritu para provecho.
8 For, unto one, indeed, through the Spirit, is given, a word of wisdom, but, unto another, a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; —
Porque á la verdad á este es dado por el Espíritu palabra de sabiduría; á otro, palabra de ciencia segun el mismo Espíritu;
9 Unto a different one, faith, in the same Spirit, and, unto another, gifts of healings, in the one Spirit,
A otro, fé por el mismo Espíritu; y á otro, dones de sanidades por el mismo Espíritu;
10 And, unto another, energies of mighty works, [and], unto another, prophesying, [and], unto another, discriminations of spirits, —unto a different one, kinds of tongues, and, unto another, translation of tongues; —
A otro, operaciones de milagros; y á otro, profecía; y á otro, discrecion de espíritus; y á otro, géneros de lenguas; y á otro, interpretacion de lenguas.
11 But, all these, energiseth the one and the same Spirit, distributing unto each one, peculiarly, even as it is disposed.
Mas todas estas cosas obra uno y el mismo Espíritu, repartiendo particularmente á cada uno como quiere.
12 For, just as, the body, is one, and yet hath many members, but, all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so, also, the Christ; —
Porque de la manera que el cuerpo es uno, y tiene muchos miembros, empero todos los miembros del cuerpo, siendo muchos, son un cuerpo, así tambien Cristo.
13 For, even to one Spirit, we all, into one body, have been immersed, —whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free, —and, all, of one Spirit, have been caused to drink.
Porque por un Espíritu somos todos bautizados en un cuerpo, ora Judíos ó Griegos, ora siervos ó libres; y todos hemos bebido de un mismo Espíritu.
14 For, the body also, is not one member, but many:
Pues ni tampoco el cuerpo es un miembro, sino muchos.
15 Though the foot should say—Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body, Is it, therefore, not, of the body?
Si dijere el pié: Porque no soy mano, no soy del cuerpo: ¿por eso no será del cuerpo?
16 And, though the ear should say—Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body, Is it, therefore, not, of the body?
Y si dijere la oreja: Porque no soy ojo, no soy del cuerpo: ¿por eso no será del cuerpo?
17 If, the whole body, were, an eye, where were the hearing? If, the whole were, hearing, where were, the smelling?
Si todo el cuerpo [fuese] ojo ¿dónde [estaria] el oido? si todo [fuese] oido, ¿dónde [estaria] el olfato?
18 But, now, hath God set the members, each one of them in the body, even as he pleased.
Mas ahora Dios ha colocado los miembros cada uno de ellos [por sí] en el cuerpo, como quiso.
19 But, if they all had been one member, Where had been, the body?
Que si todos fueran un miembro, ¿donde [estuviera] el cuerpo?
20 Now, however there are many members, yet one body;
Mas ahora muchos miembros [son] á la verdad, empero un cuerpo.
21 [And] the eye cannot say unto the hand—I have no need of thee, —nor, again, the head, unto the feet—I have no need of you: —
Ni el ojo puede decir á la mano: No te he menester: ni asimismo la cabeza á los piés: No tengo necesidad de vosotros.
22 Nay! much more, the members which seem to be weaker are necessary,
Antes, mucho mas los miembros del cuerpo que parecen más flacos, son necesarios;
23 And, the parts of the body which we deem to be less honourable, on these, more abundant honour, do we bestow, and, our uncomely parts, have, more abundant comeliness,
Y aquellos del cuerpo que estimamos ser más viles, á estos vestimos más honrosamente; y los que en nosotros [son] ménos honestos, tienen más compostura.
24 Whereas, our comely parts, have, no need. But, God, hath tempered the body together, —unto that which was lacking, giving more abundant honour; —
Porque los que en nosotros [son] más honestos, no tienen necesidad [de eso: ] mas Dios ordenó el cuerpo dando mas abundante honor al que le faltaba;
25 That there might be no division in the body, but that the members might have, the same, care, one for another;
Para que no haya desavenencia en el cuerpo, sino que los miembros todos se interesen los unos por los otros.
26 And, whether one member, suffereth, all the members, suffer with it, or, a member is glorified, all the members, rejoice together.
Por manera que si un miembro padece, todos los miembros á una se duelen; y si un miembro es honrado, todos los miembros á una se gozan.
27 Now, ye, are the body of Christ, and members severally; —
Pues vosotros sois el cuerpo de Cristo, y miembros en parte.
28 And God hath, indeed, set, certain, in the assembly, —first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that mighty works, then gifts of healings, helps, guidings, kinds of tongues.
Y á unos puso Dios en la iglesia, primeramente apóstoles, luego profetas, lo tercero, doctores: luego facultades; luego dones de sanidades, ayudas, gobernaciones, géneros de lenguas.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all mighty works?
¿[Son] todos apóstoles? ¿[son] todos profetas? ¿todos doctores? ¿todos facultades?
30 Have, all, gifts of healings? Do, all, with tongues, speak? Do, all, translate?
¿Tienen todos dones de sanidad? ¿hablan todos lenguas? ¿interpretan todos?
31 Be envious, however, of the greater gifts; and, yet, a much more excellent way, unto you, I point out: —
Empero procurad los mejores dones: mas aun, yo os muestro un camino más excelente.
