< 1 Corinthians 11 >
1 Become imitators of me, —even as, I also, [am] of Christ.
Luwuru timna, mana kaka an bende aluwo tim Kristo.
2 Now I praise you, that, in all things, ye have me in remembrance, and, even as I delivered unto you the instructions, ye hold them fast.
Agoyonu erokamano nikech usiko upara e yore duto, kendo nikech umako puonj duto mane amiyou.
3 But I wish you to know—that, the head of every man, is, the Christ, and, the head of a woman, is, the man; and, the head of the Christ, is, God.
To adwaro mondo ungʼe ni Kristo ewi dichwo ka dichwo, kendo ni dichwo ewi dhako, to Nyasaye ewi Kristo.
4 Every man, praying, or prophesying, having anything upon his head, putteth to shame his head;
Kuom mano, dichwo malemo kata makoro e chokruok koumo wiye ochayo Kristo.
5 But, every woman, praying, or prophesying, with her head, unveiled, putteth to shame her head, —for it is, one and the same, with her having been shaven.
Kamano bende dhako malemo kata makoro e chokruok, ka ok otweyo kitamba okuodo wi chwore, nikech onge pogruok e kinde gi dhako moliel yie wiye.
6 For, if a woman doth not veil herself, let her also be shorn; but, if it were a shame in a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled.
Ka dhako ok dwar tweyo kitamba, to ber kata mondo oliel yie wiye. To kaka en wichkuot ka dhako olielo yie wiye mapoth, to ber otwe kitamba.
7 For, a man, indeed, ought not to be veiling his head, being, the image and glory of God, —but, the woman, is the glory of man;
Dichwo to ok owinjore oum wiye nikech en ranyisi mar Nyasaye gi duongʼne; dhako to en ranyisi mar duongʼ mar dichwo.
8 For, man, is not, of woman, but, woman, of man;
Dichwo ne ok oa kuom dhako, to dhako ema ne oa kuom dichwo.
9 For also man was not created, for the sake of the woman, but woman, for the sake of the man.
To bende, dichwo ne ok ochwe ne dhako, to dhako ema ne ochwe ni dichwo.
10 For this cause, ought the woman to have, permission, upon her head, because of the messengers.
Nikech wachni kendo nikech malaike, dhako mondo oum wiye kaka ranyisi ni en e bwo loch.
11 Howbeit, neither is woman apart from man, nor man apart from woman—in the Lord;
Kata kamano, kuom Ruoth, dhako ok nyal dak maonge dichwo mana kaka dichwo bende ok nyal dak maonge dhako.
12 For, just as the woman is of the man, so, also the man, is through means of the woman; —but, all things, are of God.
Nimar, mana kaka dhako nochwe koa kuom dichwo, e kaka dichwo bende inywolo gi dhako, to gik moko duto oa kuom Nyasaye.
13 Among your own selves, judge ye, —Is it becoming for a woman, —unveiled, to be praying unto God?
Penjreuru un uwegi ni: Bende en gima kare mondo dhako olam Nyasaye ka ok otweyo kitamba e wiye?
14 Doth not, even nature herself, teach you—that, if, a man, have long hair, it is a dishonour to him;
Donge en gima ongʼere ne ji duto ni wich maboyo en wichkuot ni dichwo?
15 But, if, a woman, have long hair, it is a glory to her, for, her long hair, instead of a veil, hath been given to her.
To ka dhako yie wiye boyo, to en duongʼ mare, nikech yie wich maboyo omiye kaka raum.
16 But, if anyone thinketh to be contentious, we, have no such custom, —nor yet the assemblies of God.
Ka ngʼato kuomu dwaro kwedo ma, to ongʼe ni waonge gi tim mopogore gi mwapuonjoni, kendo kata kanise duto mag Nyasaye ongego.
17 But, in giving you the following charge, I praise you not, —in that, not for the better, but for the worse, ye come together.
Puonj makoro amiyou sani to ok anyal pakoue, nikech kinde duto ma uchokoru kaachiel to chokruoku kelo mana rach kar kelo ber.
18 For, first of all, —when ye come together in assembly, I hear that divisions among you exist, —and, in part, I believe it;
Mokwongo awinjo ni ka uchokoru kaachiel kaka kanisa, to nitie pogruok e kindu, kendo anyalo yie ni wachno en adier.
19 For there must needs be, even parties among you, that, the approved, [themselves] may become manifest among you.
Mano emomiyo nitiere pogruok e kindu mondo joma Nyasaye oyiego ongʼere maler.
20 When, therefore, ye come together into one place, it is not to eat, a supper unto the Lord;
Ka uchokoru kanyakla, to nenore ni ok ucham Sap Ruoth;
21 For, each one, taketh beforehand, his own supper, in your eating, and, one, indeed, is hungry, whereas, another, is drinking to excess.
nikech ka uchiemo to ngʼato ka ngʼato rikni gichamo chiembe owuon, ma ok orito jowetene; omiyo jomoko kuomu denyo, to jomoko kuomu to mer.
22 What! have ye not houses for your eating and drinking? or, the assembly of God, do ye despise, and, put to shame them who have nothing? What am I to say to you? Shall I praise you? In this, I praise you not.
Donge un gi miechu munyalo chiemoe kendo methoe? Koso uchayo kanisa Nyasaye, momiyo ukuodo wi joma ochando? Angʼo ma dawachnu? Uparo ni dapaku kuom wachni? Ok kamano ngangʼ!
23 For, I myself, received from the Lord—that which I also delivered unto you, —how that, the Lord Jesus, in the night in which he was being delivered up, took a loaf,
Puonj mane ayudo kuom Ruoth mi amiyou chal kama: Ruoth Yesu nokawo makati e otienono mane ondhogee,
24 And, giving thanks, brake it, and said—This, is my body, which is for you, —this, do ye, in remembrance of me;
kendo bangʼ kosegoyo erokamano nongʼingo, kowacho niya, “Ma en ringra mochiw nikech un, timuru ma ka uparago.”
25 In the same manner, the cup also, after they had taken supper, saying—This cup, is, the new covenant in my blood, this, do ye, as often soever as ye may be drinking it, in remembrance of me.
Kamano bende bangʼ chiemo nokawo kikombe, mi owacho niya, “Kikombeni en singruok manyien motim gi remba; timuru ma, kinde duto mumadhee, mondo uparago.”
26 For, as often as ye may be eating this loaf, and, the cup, may be drinking, The death of the Lord, do ye announce, until he come.
Nikech ka usiko uchamo makatini kendo umadho kikombeni, to unyiso tho mar Ruoth nyaka chop oduogi.
27 So that, whosoever may be eating the loaf, or drinking the cup of the Lord, in an unworthy manner, shall be responsible for the body and blood of the Lord.
Emomiyo ngʼama ochamo makatini kata ometho e kikombeni e yo ma ok owinjore, bura biro loyo kodoko jaketho kuom ringre Ruoth gi rembe.
28 But let a man be proving himself, —and, so, of the loaf, let him eat, and, of the cup, let him drink;
Ngʼato ka ngʼato nyaka nonre mokwongo, kapok ochamo makati kata ometho e kikombe.
29 For, he that is eating and drinking, —judgment unto himself, doth eat and drink, —if he be not setting apart the body.
Nikech ngʼato angʼata mochiemo kendo ometho, ma ok odewo ni gin ringre Ruoth, kelo bura kuome owuon.
30 For this cause, many among you are weak and sickly; and, not a few, are falling asleep.
Mano emomiyo ji mathoth kuomu ool kendo tuo; kendo moko kuomu osetho.
31 If, however, we had been setting, ourselves, apart, we had not, in that case, been coming under judgment;
To ka dine wanonre wawegi mokwongo, to bura ok doloyowa.
32 But, being brought under judgment, by the Lord, are we being disciplined, lest, with the world, we should be condemned.
To ka Ruoth ngʼadonwa bura to orieyowa mondo kik bura lowa kaachiel gi jopinyni.
33 So then, my brethren, —when ye come together for the eating, unto one another, be giving welcome: —
Kuom mano, jowetena, ka uchokoru kaachiel mondo uchiem, to ngʼato ka ngʼato mondo orit nyawadgi.
34 If anyone be hungry, at home, let him eat, lest, unto judgment, ye be coming together. And, the remaining things, whensoever I come, I will set in order.
To ka ngʼato odenyo, to ber mondo ochiem dala, mondo kik chokruok ma ubedogo kelnu kum. Weche modongʼ anawachnu ka abiro.
