< 1 Corinthians 10 >
1 For I wish not ye should be ignorant, brethren, that, all our fathers, were, under the cloud, and, all, passed through the sea, —
Ni mi suni kuti mwi zibe, bakwangu, beshetu ba bena mukunsi ka makope, mi baba hiti mukati kewate.
2 And, all, immersed themselves into Moses, in the cloud, and in the sea;
Bonse chi ba kolobezwa kwa Mushe mukunsi ka makope ni mwi wate,
3 And, all, did eat [the same] spiritual food,
imi bonse baba lyi ku zilyo zi swana zi jolola.
4 And, all, drank, the same spiritual drink, —for they continued to drink of the spiritual rock that followed them, and, the rock, was the Christ: —
Bonse ba banwi kuzi nyo zi swana zi jolola. Kakuti baba nwi kwi ivwe lijolola, mi ilyo ivwe nji Kirisite.
5 Nevertheless, with the most of them, God, was not well-pleased, for they were strewed along in the desert.
Mihe Ireeza kana a ba ku tabite ni bungi bwa bo, ni zitunta zi ba kuhasene mu muzuka.
6 But, in these things, they became, ensamples for us, to the end we should not be covetous of evil things, even as, they, also coveted;
Linu izi zintu zi bali mutala kwetu, kuti kazi tubi ahulu muchibi ubu mubaba tendele.
7 Neither become ye, idolaters, as some of them, —as it is written—The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to be making sport;
Kanzi mulapeli ziswaniso, ubu njabo. Ubu muku ba ñolelwe, 'Bantu kabe kale hansi kunwa ni ku lya, ni ku buka ni ku zana.”
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as, some of them, committed fornication, and there fell, in one day, three and twenty thousand;
Kanzi tubi ni busangu, ubu mu baba tendeli. Mwi zuba lyonke, bantu ba tita zikiti za makumi o beli ni zo tatwe chi ba fwa ke baka lyezo nzintu.
9 Neither let us be putting the Lord to the test, as, some of them, put him to the test, and, by the serpents, were perishing;
Lya hanu kanzi tu biki Kirisite he tatubo, ubu bungi bwa bo muba batendeli mi chi ba haiwa inzoka.
10 Neither be ye murmuring, even, as some of them, murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
Mihape kanzi mutongoki, ubu muba batongokeli abo ni ku haiwa ke ingeloi.
11 But, these things, by way of type, were happening unto them, and were written with a view to our admonition, unto whom, the ends of the ages, have reached along. (aiōn )
Linu izo zintu ha zi ba ku tendahala ibali mutala kwetu. Zi ba ñolwa kutu eleza — iswe tukezililwe inako ya ma manimani. (aiōn )
12 So that, he that thinketh he is standing, let him take heed lest he fall.
Ni hakuba bulyo yo hupula kuti u zimene a tokomele kanzi na wi.
13 Trial, hath not taken you, save such as man can bear; faithful, moreover is God, who will not suffer you to be tried above what ye are able, but will make, with the trial, also the way of escape, that ye may be able to hold out.
Ka kwina miliko yibabi ise zibehele ku bantu. Mihe, Ireeza u shiyeme. Kese na zumine kuti ni mu likiwe ku hitiliza ha musika. Ka muliko ka mihe inzila mwese mu balehele, kuti mu wole kozo za yo.
14 Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry, —
Ni haina bulyo, inwe ba nisuna, mu siye ku lapela ziswaniso.
15 As, to prudent men, I speak, —judge, ye, what I say: —
Ni wamba kwenu ubu bantu be mihupulo, kuti ni mu watule zina wamba.
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not, a sharing together of the blood of the Christ? The loaf which we break, is it not, a sharing together of the body of the Christ?
Inkomoki ye mbuyoti yitu litumela kayo, kana kuti tuli yabelelanga malaha a Kirisita? Chinkwa chi tu gamona, kana kuti tuli yabalelanga inyama ya Kirisite?
17 Because, one loaf, one body, we, the many, are, for we, all, of the one loaf, partake.
Kakuti kwina bulyo chinkwa chonke chi zwile, iswe tubangi twinyama yonke. Twense tu hinda ku chinkwa chonke chi zwile.
18 Be looking at Israel after the flesh: —are not, they who eat the sacrifices, joint partakers with the altar?
Mu lole ku bantu ba Maisilaele: kana ibali abo baba lyi kuchitabelo ba bena ha katala?
19 What, then, am I saying?—that, an idol-sacrifice, is anything? or that, an idol, is anything?
Chizi chi ni kwete ku wamba linu? Kuti chi swaniso chintu? Kapa zina zilyo ze chi tabelo che chiswaniso chintu?
20 On the contrary—that, the things which the nations sacrifice, unto demons, and not unto God, they sacrifice; and I wish not that ye should become, sharers together with the demons!
Kono ni wamba zintu zi ba tendela chitabelo bahedeni, mihe ba ha nzi zintu ku madimona isini kwe Ireeza. Ka nisuni kuti inwe mube ubu madimona!
21 Ye cannot be drinking—a cup of the Lord, and a cup of demons; ye cannot be partaking of, a table of the Lord, and a table of demons.
Ko woli kunwa mwi inkomoki ye Ireeza ni kunwa mwi inkomoki ya madimona. Ko woli kulila he ntafule ye Ireeza ni he ntafule ya madimona.
22 Or are we to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we mightier than he?
Kapa tu shamaeta Ireeza kuti abe ni fufa? Tu kolete ku muhita nji?
23 All things are allowable—but, not all things, are profitable, —all things are allowable—but, not all things, upbuild.
Zintu zonse ziya chemilawo, 'kono kana kuti zonse zina intuso.' Zintu zonse ziya che milawo, kona kana kuti zintu zonse zi zakisa bantu.
24 Let, no one, be seeking, what concerneth himself, but that which concerneth some one else.
Ka kwina yo swanela ku gana zintu cha kwe yenke. Cho kuti zumwi ni zumwi a gane zintu zi swanela yo bambene naye.
25 Whatsoever, in the market, is sold, eat, —asking no question, for conscience sake;
Mu wola ku lya zintu zonse zi wuzwa mu mauzikizo, musa bunzi ipunzo ibaka le zwalo.
26 For, unto the Lord, belongeth the earth, and the fullness thereof.
Mihe, “ikanda ye Ireeza, ni zina mwateni zonse.”
27 If one of them who believe not invite you, and ye are disposed to go, whatsoever is set before you, eat, —asking no question, for conscience sake.
Heba muntu ya sa zumine ha mi sumpila ku zilyo, mini musuna ku yenda, mulye chonse chete ba miletele ni musa buzi impunzo ibaka le zwalo.
28 But, if anyone should say unto you, —This, is, a holy sacrifice, do not eat, for that man’s sake who disclosed it, and for conscience sake: —
Kono heba zumwi na wamba kwenu, Izi zilyo zizwa ku chitabelo cha mahedeni, sanzi mu lyi. Ke baka lyo zuna wa mi wambila, ni ke baka le zwalo.
29 But, conscience, I mean, not thine own, but the other’s, —for why is my freedom to be judged by another’s conscience?
Ka ni toloki i zwalo lyako, kono izwalo li bamwi. Mihe chinzi ikatulo yangu ha yi atulwa ni zwalo lya zumwi?
30 If, I, with gratitude, partake, why am I to be defamed, as to that for which, I, give thanks?
Heba ni ni lya ni nili tumele, ka ni nyaswe bule ha chintu chi ni bali tumeli?
31 Whether, therefore, ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do, all things to the glory of God.
Ni haina bulyo, ni heba mulya kapa munwa, kapa icho chonse chi mutenda, mu tende zonse che kanya ye Ireeza.
32 Give no occasion of stumbling—whether to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of God:
Kanzi mu hi mulandu ku Majuwishi kapa ku Magirike, kapa kwi Keleke ye Ireeza.
33 Even as, I also, in all things do please all, not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.
Ni suni ku tabisa bamwi bantu mu zimwi zintu. Kani suni ku tenda zintu zi sakwa ime nenke, kono ni zibamwi. Ni tenda izo kuti ba ka puluswe.
