1 Chronicles 9
1 And, all Israel, registered themselves, and lo! they are written, in the Book of the Kings of Israel, and, Judah, was carried away captive to Babylon, for their faithlessness.
੧ਸਾਰਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਕੁਲਪੱਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ।
2 Now, the first inhabitants, who were in their possessions, in their cities, were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.
੨ਪਹਿਲੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ, ਜਾਜਕ, ਲੇਵੀ ਤੇ ਨਥੀਨੀਮ ਸਨ
3 And, in Jerusalem, there dwelt, of the sons of Judah, and of the sons of Benjamin, —and of the sons of Ephraim, and Manasseh:
੩ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ,
4 Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, of the sons of Perez, son of Judah.
੪ਊਥਈ ਅੰਮੀਹੂਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਮਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਮਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਬਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਪਰਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ,
5 And, of the Shilonites, Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.
੫ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਅਸਾਯਾਹ ਪਹਿਲੌਠਾ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ
6 And, of the sons of Zerah, Jeuel, —and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
੬ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਰਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਯਊਏਲ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਨੱਬੇ
7 And, of the sons of Benjamin, Sallu, son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah;
੭ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੱਲੂ ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਹੋਦਵਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਹਸਨੂਆਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ,
8 and Ibneiah, son of Jeroham, and Elah, son of Uzzi, son of Michri, —and Meshullam, son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibnijah;
੮ਤੇ ਯਿਬਨਯਾਹ ਯਰੋਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਏਲਾਹ ਉੱਜ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਿਕਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਸ਼ਫਟਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਰਊਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਿਬਨੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ
9 and their brethren, by their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six, —all these men, were ancestral chiefs, to their ancestral house.
੯ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨੌ ਸੌ ਛਿਪੰਜਾ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ।
10 And, of the priests, Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin, —
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਦਾਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਰੀਬ ਤੇ ਯਾਕੀਨ
11 and Azariah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, chief ruler of the house of God;
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਸਾਦੋਕ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਰਾਯੋਥ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਅਹੀਟੂਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ
12 and Adaiah, son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah, —and Maasai son of Adiel, son of Jahzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer;
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਅਦਾਯਾਹ ਯਰੋਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਅਸਈ ਅਦੀਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਹਜ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਸ਼ਿੱਲੇਮੀਥ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇੰਮੇਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ
13 and their brethren, chief men of their ancestral house, a thousand and seven hundred and sixty, —able men, for the business of the service of the house of God.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਇੱਕ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸੱਤ ਸੌ ਸੱਠ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੁਸ਼ਲ ਸਨ।
14 And, of the Levites, Shemaiah, son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;
੧੪ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਹਸ਼ੂਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਅਜ਼ਰੀਕਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਰਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ
15 and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, —and Mattaniah, son of Mica, son of Zichri, son of Asaph;
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਬਕਬੱਕਰ, ਹਰਸ਼ ਤੇ ਗਾਲਾਲ ਤੇ ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਮੀਕਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜ਼ਿਕਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ
16 and Obadiah, son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun, —and Berechiah son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
੧੬ਅਤੇ ਓਬਦਯਾਹ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਗਾਲਾਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਕਯਾਹ ਆਸਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨਟੋਫਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ।
17 And, the keepers of the gates, were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, —and their brethren—Shallum the chief;
੧੭ਅਤੇ ਕਰਬਾਨ ਇਹ ਸਨ, ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ ਤੇ ਅੱਕੂਬ ਤੇ ਤਲਮੋਨ ਤੇ ਅਹੀਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਸੀ
18 and, hitherto, they were in the gate of the king, eastward, —the same, were the keepers of the gate, for the camps of the sons of Levi.
੧੮ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਓਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਕੋਲ ਚੜਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਓਹ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਸਨ
19 And, Shallum, son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah and his brethren of his ancestral house—the Korahites, were over the business of the service, watchers at the vestibule of the tent, —and, their fathers, had been over the camp of Yahweh, watchers at the entrance.
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ ਕੋਰੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਅਬਯਾਸਾਫ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਕੋਰਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਹੀ ਸਨ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ
20 And, Phinehas son of Eleazar, was, chief ruler, over them aforetime, Yahweh, being with him.
੨੦ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ
21 Zechariah son of Meshelemiah, was door-keeper at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਮਸ਼ਲਮਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਦਾ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਸੀ
22 All those who were chosen for door-keepers in the vestibule, were two hundred and twelve, —the same, in their villages, had registered themselves, the same, did David and Samuel the seer establish in their trust.
੨੨ਜਿੰਨੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਦੋ ਸੌ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਪੱਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਤੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਅਗੰਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਥੀ ਹੋਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਥਾਪਿਆ
23 So, they and their sons, were over the gates of the house of Yahweh, of the house of the tent, by watches.
੨੩ਐਉਂ ਓਹ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਪਹਿਰਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ
24 Towards the four winds, were the keepers of the gates, —eastward, westward, northward, and southward.
੨੪ਚਾਰੋਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਪੂਰਬ, ਪੱਛਮ, ਉੱਤਰ, ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਸਨ
25 And, their brethren in their villages, had to come in, every seven days, from time to time, along with these.
੨੫ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਹਰ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਵਾਰੋ-ਵਾਰੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੈਠਣ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ
26 For, in trust, were four mighty men of the keepers of the gates, the same, were Levites, —and they were over the chambers, and over the treasuries of the house of God.
੨੬ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਚਾਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਸਨ, ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਠੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਨ
27 And, round about the house of God, used they to lodge, —for, upon them, was the charge, and they were over the setting open, morning by morning.
੨੭ਅਤੇ ਓਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਪਰਭਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਿਮੇਂ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
28 And, some from among them, were over the utensils of the service, —for, by number, used they to bring them in, and, by number, used they to take them forth.
੨੮ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਥਾਪੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਓਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣ ਕੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਤੇ ਗਿਣ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ
29 And, some from among them, were appointed over the utensils, yea over all the vessels of the holy place, —and over the fine meal, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
੨੯ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਮਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਮੈਦੇ, ਦਾਖ਼ਰਸ, ਤੇਲ, ਧੂਪ ਅਤੇ ਮਸਾਲੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਥਾਪੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ
30 And, some from among the sons of the priests, were compounders of perfumes, with the spices.
੩੦ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਸੁਗੰਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਸਾਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ
31 And, Mattithiah, from among the Levites, —the same, was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite—was in trust over the making of the flat cakes.
੩੧ਅਤੇ ਮੱਤਿਥਯਾਹ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਾਰਹੀ ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੌਠਾ ਸੀ ਤਵਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ
32 And, some from among the Kohathites, of their brethren, were over the Bread that was set in Array, —to place it sabbath by sabbath.
੩੨ਅਤੇ ਕਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਚੜਾਵੇ ਦੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਸਬਤ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ।
33 These, also were the singers, ancestral chiefs of the Levites, in the chambers, free, —for, by day and by night, was there [a charge] upon them, in the business.
੩੩ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਗਵੱਯੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਠੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਡ ਸਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਰਾਤ-ਦਿਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ
34 These, were the ancestral chiefs, of the Levites, by their generations, chief men, —these, dwelt in Jerusalem.
੩੪ਇਹ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਰਹੇ। ਇਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ।
35 And, in Gibeon, dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, —the name of whose wife, was Maacah:
੩੫ਗਿਬਓਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਬਓਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਈਏਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਅਕਾਹ ਸੀ।
36 and, his firstborn son, Abdon, —and Zur, and Kish, and Baal and Ner, and Nadab;
੩੬ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੌਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬਦੋਨ ਸੀ ਫੇਰ ਸੂਰ ਤੇ ਕੀਸ਼ ਤੇ ਬਆਲ ਤੇ ਨੇਰ ਤੇ ਨਾਦਾਬ
37 and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloh.
੩੭ਅਤੇ ਗਦੋਰ ਤੇ ਅਹਯੋ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਮਿਕਲੋਥ
38 And, Mikloth, begat Shimeam—and, they also, over against their brethren, did dwell in Jerusalem, along with their brethren.

43 and, Moza, begat Binea, —and Raphaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son;
