1 Chronicles 9

1 And, all Israel, registered themselves, and lo! they are written, in the Book of the Kings of Israel, and, Judah, was carried away captive to Babylon, for their faithlessness.

Ganz Israel aber wurde nach seinen Geschlechtern verzeichnet, und siehe, sie sind eingeschrieben im Buche der Könige von Israel. Und Juda ward nach Babel weggeführt um seiner Untreue willen.

2 Now, the first inhabitants, who were in their possessions, in their cities, were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.

Und die früheren Einwohner, die in ihrem Eigentum, in ihren Städten wohnten, waren Israeliten, die Priester, die Leviten und die Tempeldiener.

3 And, in Jerusalem, there dwelt, of the sons of Judah, and of the sons of Benjamin, —and of the sons of Ephraim, and Manasseh:

Und zu Jerusalem wohnten von den Kindern Juda und von den Kindern Benjamin und von den Kindern Ephraim und Manasse:

4 Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, of the sons of Perez, son of Judah.

Utai, der Sohn Ammihuds, des Sohnes Omris, des Sohnes Imris, des Sohnes Banis, von den Söhnen des Perez, des Sohnes Judas.

5 And, of the Shilonites, Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.

Und von den Schilonitern: Asaja, der Erstgeborene, und seine Söhne.

6 And, of the sons of Zerah, Jeuel, —and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

Und von den Söhnen Serahs: Jeuel und seine Brüder, 690.

7 And, of the sons of Benjamin, Sallu, son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah;

Und von den Kindern Benjamin: Sallu, der Sohn Meschullams, des Sohnes Hodawjas, des Sohnes Hassenuas;

8 and Ibneiah, son of Jeroham, and Elah, son of Uzzi, son of Michri, —and Meshullam, son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibnijah;

und Jibneja, der Sohn Jerochams, und Ela, der Sohn Ussis, des Sohnes Michris, und Meschullam, der Sohn Sephatjas, des Sohnes Reguels, des Sohnes Jibnijas;

9 and their brethren, by their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six, —all these men, were ancestral chiefs, to their ancestral house.

und ihre Brüder nach ihren Geschlechtern, 956. Alle diese Männer waren Stammhäupter ihrer Stammhäuser.

10 And, of the priests, Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin, —

Und von den Priestern: Jedaja und Jojarib und Jachin, und Asarja,

11 and Azariah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, chief ruler of the house of God;

der Sohn Hilkijas, des Sohnes Meschullams, des Sohnes Zadoks, des Sohnes Merajots, des Sohnes Achitubs, Vorsteher des Hauses Gottes;

12 and Adaiah, son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah, —and Maasai son of Adiel, son of Jahzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer;

und Adaja, der Sohn Jerochams, des Sohnes Paschhurs, des Sohnes Malkijas, und Maasai, der Sohn Adiels, des Sohnes Jachseras, des Sohnes Meschullams, des Sohnes Meschillemits, des Sohnes Immers;

13 and their brethren, chief men of their ancestral house, a thousand and seven hundred and sixty, —able men, for the business of the service of the house of God.

und ihre Brüder, Häupter ihrer Stammhäuser: 1760, wackere Männer im Geschäft des Dienstes des Hauses Gottes.

14 And, of the Levites, Shemaiah, son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

Und von den Leviten: Schemaja, der Sohn Chaschubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Chaschabjas, von den Söhnen Meraris;

15 and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, —and Mattaniah, son of Mica, son of Zichri, son of Asaph;

und Bakbakar, Cheresch, Galal und Mattanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sichris, des Sohnes Asaphs;

16 and Obadiah, son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun, —and Berechiah son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

und Obadja, der Sohn Schemajas, des Sohnes Galals, des Sohnes Jedutuns; und Berechja, der Sohn Asas, des Sohnes Elkanas, der da wohnte in den Dörfern der Netophatiter.

17 And, the keepers of the gates, were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, —and their brethren—Shallum the chief;

Und die Torhüter: Schallum und Akkub und Talmon und Achiman und ihre Brüder; Schallum war das Haupt;

18 and, hitherto, they were in the gate of the king, eastward, —the same, were the keepers of the gate, for the camps of the sons of Levi.

und bis jetzt sind sie am Königstore gegen Aufgang, sie, die Torhüter des Lagers der Kinder Levi.

19 And, Shallum, son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah and his brethren of his ancestral house—the Korahites, were over the business of the service, watchers at the vestibule of the tent, —and, their fathers, had been over the camp of Yahweh, watchers at the entrance.

Und Schallum, der Sohn Kores, des Sohnes Ebjasaphs, des Sohnes Korahs, und seine Brüder vom Hause seines Vaters, die Korahiter, waren bei der Besorgung des Dienstes Schwellenhüter des Zeltes, und ihre Väter waren im Lager des HERRN Hüter des Eingangs gewesen.

20 And, Phinehas son of Eleazar, was, chief ruler, over them aforetime, Yahweh, being with him.

Und Pinehas, der Sohn Eleasars, war vor Zeiten Fürst über sie; der HERR sei mit ihm!

21 Zechariah son of Meshelemiah, was door-keeper at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

Secharja, der Sohn Meschelemjas, war Torhüter an der Tür der Stiftshütte.

22 All those who were chosen for door-keepers in the vestibule, were two hundred and twelve, —the same, in their villages, had registered themselves, the same, did David and Samuel the seer establish in their trust.

Die Gesamtzahl derer, die auserlesen waren zu Torhütern an den Schwellen, betrug 212. Sie wurden in ihren Dörfern eingetragen; David und Samuel, der Seher, hatten sie eingesetzt in ihre Vertrauensstellung.

23 So, they and their sons, were over the gates of the house of Yahweh, of the house of the tent, by watches.

Und sie und ihre Söhne hielten an den Toren des Hauses des HERRN, an der Zeltwohnung, Wache.

24 Towards the four winds, were the keepers of the gates, —eastward, westward, northward, and southward.

Nach den vier Winden sollten die Torhüter stehen, gegen Aufgang, gegen Abend, gegen Mitternacht und gegen Mittag.

25 And, their brethren in their villages, had to come in, every seven days, from time to time, along with these.

Und ihre Brüder in ihren Dörfern hatten je für sieben Tage, von Termin zu Termin, zu ihnen zu kommen.

26 For, in trust, were four mighty men of the keepers of the gates, the same, were Levites, —and they were over the chambers, and over the treasuries of the house of God.

Denn sie hatten einen Vertrauensposten, die vier Vorsteher der Türhüter; sie waren Leviten; sie waren auch über die Zellen und über die Schätze des Hauses Gottes gesetzt.

27 And, round about the house of God, used they to lodge, —for, upon them, was the charge, and they were over the setting open, morning by morning.

Und sie übernachteten in der Umgebung des Hauses Gottes; denn ihnen lag die Wache ob, und sie hatten jeden Morgen aufzuschließen.

28 And, some from among them, were over the utensils of the service, —for, by number, used they to bring them in, and, by number, used they to take them forth.

Und etliche von ihnen waren [bestellt] über die Geräte des [Gottes-]Dienstes; denn abgezählt brachten sie sie hinein, und nach der Zahl taten sie sie heraus.

29 And, some from among them, were appointed over the utensils, yea over all the vessels of the holy place, —and over the fine meal, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

Und etliche von ihnen waren über die Geräte gesetzt, über alle heiligen Geräte und über das Feinmehl und den Wein und das Öl und den Weihrauch und die Spezereien.

30 And, some from among the sons of the priests, were compounders of perfumes, with the spices.

Und etliche von den Söhnen der Priester mischten Salböl für die Spezereien.

31 And, Mattithiah, from among the Levites, —the same, was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite—was in trust over the making of the flat cakes.

Und dem Mattitja aus den Leviten (er war der Erstgeborene Schallums, des Korahiters), war das Pfannen-Backwerk anvertraut.

32 And, some from among the Kohathites, of their brethren, were over the Bread that was set in Array, —to place it sabbath by sabbath.

Und etliche von den Kindern der Kahatiter, von ihren Brüdern, waren über die Schaubrote gesetzt, sie zuzurichten, Sabbat für Sabbat.

33 These, also were the singers, ancestral chiefs of the Levites, in the chambers, free, —for, by day and by night, was there [a charge] upon them, in the business.

Und jene, die Sänger, Stammhäupter der Leviten, wohnten frei in den Zellen; denn Tag und Nacht liegt ihnen der Dienst ob.

34 These, were the ancestral chiefs, of the Levites, by their generations, chief men, —these, dwelt in Jerusalem.

Das sind die Stammhäupter der Leviten, nach ihren Geschlechtern, Oberhäupter; diese wohnten zu Jerusalem.

35 And, in Gibeon, dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, —the name of whose wife, was Maacah:

Und zu Gibeon wohnten: der Vater Gibeons, Jeiel; sein Weib hieß Maacha.

36 and, his firstborn son, Abdon, —and Zur, and Kish, and Baal and Ner, and Nadab;

Und sein Sohn, der Erstgeborene, war Abdon, und Zur und Kis und Baal und Ner und Nadab

37 and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloh.

und Gedor und Achjo und Sacharja und Miklot.

38 And, Mikloth, begat Shimeam—and, they also, over against their brethren, did dwell in Jerusalem, along with their brethren.

Und Miklot zeugte Schimeam, und auch diese wohnten ihren Brüdern gegenüber zu Jerusalem, bei ihren Brüdern.

39 And, Ner, begat Kith, and, Kish, begat Saul, —and, Saul, begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal;

Und Ner zeugte Kis und Kis zeugte Saul, und Saul zeugte Jonatan und Malkischua und Abinadab und Eschbaal.

40 and, the son of Jonathan, was Merib-baal, —and, Merib-baal, begat Micah;

Und der Sohn Jonatans war Meribbaal, und Meribbaal zeugte Micha.

41 and, the sons of Micah, were Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea [and Ahaz];

Und die Söhne Michas: Piton und Melech und Tachrea, [und Achas].

42 and, Ahaz, begat Jarah, and, Jarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri, —and Zimri, begat Moza;

Und Achas zeugte Jara, und Jara zeugte Alemet und Asmavet und Simri, und Simri zeugte Moza.

43 and, Moza, begat Binea, —and Raphaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son;

Moza zeugte Binea, und dessen Sohn war Rephaja, dessen Sohn Elasa, dessen Sohn Azel.

44 and, Azel, had six sons, and these are their names—Azrikam, [his firstborn], and Ishmael, and Sheariah and Obadiah, and Hanan, [and Asah]. These, were the sons of Azel.

Und Azel hatte sechs Söhne, und das sind ihre Namen: Asrikam, Bochru, Jismael, Schearja, Obadja und Chanan. Das waren die Söhne Azels.
