1 And, Benjamin, begat Bela his firstborn, —Ashbel, the second, and Aharah, the third, —
Benjamin autem genuit Bale primogenitum suum, Asbel secundum, Ahara tertium,
2 Nohah, the fourth, and Rapha, the fifth.
Nohaa quartum, et Rapha quintum.
3 And Bela had sons—Addar, and Gera, and Abihud, —
Fueruntque filii Bale: Addar, et Gera, et Abiud,
4 and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah, —
Abisue quoque et Naaman, et Ahoë,
5 and Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.

6 And, these, are the sons of Ehud, —these, are the ancestral chiefs to the inhabitants of Geba, but they were carried away captive, unto Manahath;
Hi sunt filii Ahod, principes cognationum habitantium in Gabaa, qui translati sunt in Manahath.
7 and, as for Naaman and Ahijah and Gera, the same, carried them captive, —and he begat Uzza and Ahihud.
Naaman autem, et Achia, et Gera, ipse transtulit eos, et genuit Osa, et Ahiud.
8 And, Shaharaim, begat children in the field of Moab, after he had sent away Hushim and Baara his wives.
Porro Saharaim genuit in regione Moab, postquam dimisit Husim et Bara uxores suas.
9 Then begat he, of Hodesh his wife, —Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam;
Genuit autem de Hodes uxore sua Jobab, et Sebia, et Mosa, et Molchom,
10 and Jeuz, and Sachia, and Mirmah, —these, were his sons, ancestral chiefs.
Jehus quoque, et Sechia, et Marma: hi sunt filii ejus principes in familiis suis.
11 And, of Hushim, he begat Abitub, and Elpaal.
Mehusim vero genuit Abitob et Elphaal.
12 And, the sons of Elpaal, Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, —he, built Ono, and Lod, and the villages thereof.
Porro filii Elphaal: Heber, et Misaam, et Samad: hic ædificavit Ono, et Lod, et filias ejus.
13 And, as for Beriah and Shema, they, were ancestral chiefs to the inhabitants of Aijalon, —they, put to flight the inhabitants of Gath;
Baria autem et Sama principes cognationum habitantium in Ajalon: hi fugaverunt habitatores Geth.
14 and Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth, —
Et Ahio, et Sesac, et Jerimoth,
15 and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder, —
et Zabadia, et Arod, et Heder,
16 and Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, sons of Beriah, —
Michaël quoque, et Jespha, et Joha filii Baria.
17 and Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber, —
Et Zabadia, et Mosollam, et Hezeci, et Heber,
18 and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab, sons of Elpaal, —
et Jesamari, et Jezlia, et Jobab filii Elphaal,
19 and Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi—
et Jacim, et Zechri, et Zabdi,
20 and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel, —
et Elioënai, et Selethai, et Eliel,
21 and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, sons of Shimei, —
et Adaia, et Baraia, et Samarath, filii Semei.
22 and Ishpan, and Eber, and Eliel, —
Et Jespham, et Heber, et Eliel,
23 and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan, —
et Abdon, et Zechri, et Hanan,
24 and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothijah, —
et Hanania, et Ælam, et Anathothia,
25 and Iphdeiah, and Penuel, sons of Shashak, —
et Jephdaia, et Phanuel, filii Sesac.
26 and Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah, —
Et Samsari, et Sohoria, et Otholia,
27 and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri, sons of Jeroham:
et Jersia, et Elia, et Zechri, filii Jeroham.
28 these, were ancestral chiefs to their generations, chief men, —these, dwelt in Jerusalem;
Hi patriarchæ, et cognationum principes, qui habitaverunt in Jerusalem.
29 And, in Gibeon, dwelt the father of Gibeon [Jeiel], the name of whose wife, was Maacah, —
In Gabaon autem habitaverunt Abigabaon, et nomen uxoris ejus Maacha:
30 and his firstborn son, Abdon, and Zur and Kish, and Baal and Ner and Nadab, —
filiusque ejus primogenitus Abdon, et Sur, et Cis, et Baal, et Nadab,
31 and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.
Gedor quoque, et Ahio, et Zacher, et Macelloth:
32 And, Mikloth, begat Shimeah, —moreover also, they, over against their brethren, did dwell in Jerusalem, with their own brethren.
et Macelloth genuit Samaa: habitaveruntque ex adverso fratrum suorum in Jerusalem cum fratribus suis.
33 So then, Ner, begat Kish, and, Kish, begat Saul, —and, Saul, begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
Ner autem genuit Cis, et Cis genuit Saul. Porro Saul genuit Jonathan, et Melchisua, et Abinadab, et Esbaal.
34 And, the son of Jonathan, was Merib-baal, —and, Merib-baal, begat Micah.
Filius autem Jonathan, Meribbaal: et Meribbaal genuit Micha.
35 And, the sons of Micah, were Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
Filii Micha, Phithon, et Melech, et Tharaa, et Ahaz.
36 And, Ahaz, begat Jehoaddah, and, Jehoaddah, begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri, —and, Zimri, begat Moza;
Et Ahaz genuit Joada, et Joada genuit Alamath, et Azmoth, et Zamri: porro Zamri genuit Mosa,
37 and, Moza, begat Binea, —Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
et Mosa genuit Banaa, cujus filius fuit Rapha, de quo ortus est Elasa, qui genuit Asel.
38 And, Azel, had six sons, and, these, were their names—Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obediah, and Hanan and Asah, —all these, were sons of Azel.
Porro Asel sex filii fuerunt his nominibus: Ezricam, Bocru, Ismahel, Saria, Obdia, et Hanan: omnes hi filii Asel.
39 And, the sons of Eshek his brother, were Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
Filii autem Esec fratris ejus, Ulam primogenitus, et Jehus secundus, et Eliphalet tertius.
40 And the sons of Ulam became men that were heroes of valour, archers, with many sons, and sons’ sons, a hundred and fifty. All these, were of the sons of Benjamin.
Fueruntque filii Ulam viri robustissimi, et magno robore tendentes arcum: et multos habentes filios ac nepotes, usque ad centum quinquaginta. Omnes hi filii Benjamin.
