1 Chronicles 5
1 And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, for, he, was the firstborn, but because he defiled the couch of his father, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, —and he is not to be enrolled in the place of firstborn,
Hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel. Era el primogénito, más por haber manchado el tálamo de su padre, fue dada su primogenitura a los hijos de José, hijo de Israel, de modo que no ha de contarse como primogénito.
2 for, Judah, prevailed over his brethren, so that, even the prince, is from him, —although, the birthright, pertaineth to Joseph;
Pues Judá se hizo poderoso entre sus hermanos, y de él salió el príncipe, pero la primogenitura fue de José.
3 the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
Hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel: Enoc, Fallú, Hesrón y Carmí.
4 The sons of Joel, Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son;
Hijos de Joel: Semaya, su hijo; Gog, su hijo; Semeí, su hijo;
5 Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son;
Micá, su hijo; Reía, su hijo; Baal, su hijo;
6 Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive, —he, was a leader to the Reubenites;
Beerá, su hijo, al cual Tiglatfalnasar, rey de Asina, llevó cautivo. Él era príncipe de los Rubenitas.
7 and his brethren, by his families, in the genealogical registering, by their generations, —the chief Jeiel, and Zechariah;
Además, sus hermanos, según sus familias, tal como están inscriptos en los registros genealógicos, conforme a sus generaciones: El primero: Jeiel, después Zacarías,
8 and Bela, the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, —he, dwelt in Aroer, even as far as Nebo, and Baal-meon;
Bela, hijo de Azaz, hijo de Sema, hijo de Joel, que habitaba en Aroer, y hasta Nebo y Baalmeón.
9 and, eastward, dwelt he as far as the entering in of the desert, from the river Euphrates, —because, their cattle, were multiplied in the land of Gilead;
Habitaba, asimismo, al oriente hasta la entrada del desierto, que se extiende desde el río Éufrates; porque tenían mucho ganado en la tierra de Galaad.
10 and, in the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand, —so they dwelt in their tents, over all the face of the land east of Gilead.
En los días de Saúl hicieron guerra contra los agarenos, que cayeron por su mano; y habitaron en sus tiendas en toda la región oriental de Galaad.
11 And, the sons of Gad, over against them, dwelt, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:
Los hijos de Gad habitaron enfrente de ellos en la tierra de Basan, hasta Salea.
12 Joel the chief, and Shapham, the second, —and Janai and Shaphat, in Bashan;
Joel fue el primero, Safán el segundo, después Janai y Safat, en Basan.
13 and their brethren of their ancestral house, Michael and Meshullam and Sheba and Jorai and Jacan and Zia and Eber, seven.
Sus hermanos, según sus casas paternas, fueron: Micael, Mesullam, Seba, Jorai, Jacán, Zía y Eber, siete.
14 These, were the sons of Abihail, son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jehishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz,
Estos son los hijos de Abihail, hijo de Hurí, hijo de Jaroa, hijo de Galaad, hijo de Micael, hijo de Jesisai, hijo de Jahdó, hijo de Buz.
15 Ahi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, chief of their ancestral house;
Ahí, hijo de Abdiel, hijo de Guní, era el jefe de las casas paternas de ellos.
16 and they dwelt in Gilead—in Bashan, and in her villages, —and in all the pasture-lands of Sharon, up to their outgoings.
Habitaban en Galaad, en Basan y sus aldeas, y en todos los ejidos de Sarón, hasta sus puntos extremos.
17 All of them, were genealogically registered in the days of Jotham king of Judah, —and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
Todos ellos fueron inscriptos en las genealogías, en los días de Joatam, rey de Judá, y en los días de Jeroboam, rey de Israel.
18 the sons of Reuben and Gad, and half tribe of Manasseh, of the sons of valour, men bearing shield and sword and bending the bow, and instructed in war, were forty-four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, ready to go forth in the host.
Los hijos de Rubén, los gaditas y la media tribu de Manasés, eran hombres valientes, llevaban escudo y espada, manejaban el arco, y eran diestros en la guerra. Salían a campaña en número de cuarenta y cuatro mil setecientos sesenta.
19 So they made war with the Hagrites, —and Jetur and Naphish, and Nodab;
Hicieron guerra contra los agarenos, Jetur, Nafís y Nodab,
20 and were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all that were with them were delivered into their hand, —for, unto God, made they outcry, in the war, and he suffered himself to be entreated by them, because they put their trust in him;
y recibieron socorro en la guerra contra ellos, de suerte que los agarenos y todos los que con ellos estaban, fueron entregados en sus manos; pues en la batalla clamaron a Dios, y Él les fue propicio, por cuanto confiaban en Él.
21 and they captured their cattle—their camels, fifty thousand, and, flocks, two hundred and fifty thousand, and, asses, two thousand, —and, persons of men, a hundred thousand;
Capturaron la hacienda de ellos: sus camellos: cincuenta mil; ovejas: doscientas cincuenta mil; asnos: dos mil; y cien mil cautivos.
22 for, many slain, fell, for, of God, was the war, —and they dwelt in their stead, until the captivity.
Y hubo muchos muertos, porque la guerra venía de Dios. Habitaron en su lugar hasta el cautiverio.
23 And, the sons of the half tribe of Manasseh, dwelt in the land, —from Bashan, as far as to Baal-hermon and Senir and Mount Hermon, they, were multiplied.
Los hijos de la media tribu de Manasés habitaron en el país desde Basán hasta Baalhermón, hasta Senir y el monte Hermón.
24 And, these, were the heads of their ancestral house, —Epher and Ishi and Eliel and Azriel and Jeremiah and Hodaviah and Jahdiel, men who were heroes of valour, men of renown, chiefs to their ancestral house.
He aquí los jefes de sus casas paternas: Éfer, Isí, Eliel, Asriel. Jeremías, Hodavías y Jahdiel, valientes guerreros, gente de nombradía, jefes de sus casas paternas.
25 But they dealt unfaithfully with the God of their fathers, —and went unchastely after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God destroyed from before them;
Pero cometieron infidelidad contra el Dios de sus padres y se prostituyeron yendo en pos de los dioses de los pueblos del país que Yahvé había destruido delante de ellos.
26 so the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he took them away captive, even the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh, —and brought them in unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.
Por lo cual el Dios de Israel incitó el espíritu de Ful, rey de Asiria, y el espíritu de Tiglatfalnasar, rey de Asiria, y llevó al cautiverio a los Rubenitas, los Gaditas y la media tribu de Manasés, y los transportó a Halah, a Habor, a Hará y al río Gozan, donde están hasta hoy día.
