< 1 Chronicles 5 >

1 And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, for, he, was the firstborn, but because he defiled the couch of his father, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, —and he is not to be enrolled in the place of firstborn,
Israel calu Reuben ih caanawk, anih loe calu ah oh, toe ampa ih iihkhun to amhnongsak pongah, calu ah ohhaih ahmuen to Israel capa Joeseph ih caanawk hanah paek ving boeh; to pongah acaeng paruihaih loe calu ah ohhaih baktiah tarik o ai.
2 for, Judah, prevailed over his brethren, so that, even the prince, is from him, —although, the birthright, pertaineth to Joseph;
Calu ah ohhaih loe Joseph ih qawk ah oh boeh, toe anih ih nawkamya thung hoiah ukkung, thacak koek Judah to tacawt,
3 the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.

7 and his brethren, by his families, in the genealogical registering, by their generations, —the chief Jeiel, and Zechariah;

9 and, eastward, dwelt he as far as the entering in of the desert, from the river Euphrates, —because, their cattle, were multiplied in the land of Gilead;
Gilead prae ah nihcae mah pacah ih maitawnawk loe paroeai pung pongah, ni angyae bang ih Euphrate vapui hoi praezaek ramri karoek to akun o moe, khosak o.
10 and, in the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand, —so they dwelt in their tents, over all the face of the land east of Gilead.
Saul siangpahrang dung ah Hagar ih kaminawk to tuk o moe, nihcae pazawk pongah Hagar kaminawk ohhaih prae Gilead ni angyae bang boih ah khosak o.
11 And, the sons of Gad, over against them, dwelt, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:
Gad kaminawk loe nihcae taengah khosak o; Bashan prae thung Salekah vangpui khoek to oh o;
12 Joel the chief, and Shapham, the second, —and Janai and Shaphat, in Bashan;

16 and they dwelt in Gilead—in Bashan, and in her villages, —and in all the pasture-lands of Sharon, up to their outgoings.
Gad kaminawk loe Gilead prae, Bashan prae ih vangtanawk hoi Sharon vangpui karoek to oh o.
17 All of them, were genealogically registered in the days of Jotham king of Judah, —and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

18 the sons of Reuben and Gad, and half tribe of Manasseh, of the sons of valour, men bearing shield and sword and bending the bow, and instructed in war, were forty-four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, ready to go forth in the host.

19 So they made war with the Hagrites, —and Jetur and Naphish, and Nodab;
Nihcae mah Hagar, Jetur, Naphish hoi Nodab kaminawk to tuk o.
20 and were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all that were with them were delivered into their hand, —for, unto God, made they outcry, in the war, and he suffered himself to be entreated by them, because they put their trust in him;
Misa a tuk o naah, Sithaw oephaih hoiah lawk a thuih o pongah, Sithaw mah nihcae to abomh moe, Hagar ih kaminawk hoi a tawnh o ih hmuenmaenawk to nihcae hanah paek boih.
21 and they captured their cattle—their camels, fifty thousand, and, flocks, two hundred and fifty thousand, and, asses, two thousand, —and, persons of men, a hundred thousand;

23 And, the sons of the half tribe of Manasseh, dwelt in the land, —from Bashan, as far as to Baal-hermon and Senir and Mount Hermon, they, were multiplied.
Ahap Manasseh acaeng loe prae thung ih, Bashan vangpui, Baal-Hermon vangpui, Senir vangpui hoi Hermon mae karoek to oh o.
24 And, these, were the heads of their ancestral house, —Epher and Ishi and Eliel and Azriel and Jeremiah and Hodaviah and Jahdiel, men who were heroes of valour, men of renown, chiefs to their ancestral house.
Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah hoi Jahdiel cae loe hae acaengnawk ih lu koek ah oh o, nihcae loe thacak kami, ahmin doeh kamthang misatuh kami ah oh o.
25 But they dealt unfaithfully with the God of their fathers, —and went unchastely after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God destroyed from before them;
Nihcae loe angmacae ampanawk ih Sithaw hmaa ah zaehaih to sak o moe, nihcae hmaa ah Sithaw mah paro pae ih, to prae ah kaom kaminawk ih sithaw hoiah zaehaih a sak o.
26 so the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he took them away captive, even the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh, —and brought them in unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.
To pongah Israel Sithaw mah Assyria siangpahrang Pul hoi siangpahrang Tiglath-Pileser ih muithla to pahruek pae moe, Reuben kaminawk, Gad kaminawk hoi ahap Manasseh acaengnawk to tamna ah caeh haih; anih mah nihcae to Gozan vapui taeng ih Halah, Habor, Hara vangpui ah caeh o haih tathuk, nihcae loe to ahmuen ah vaihni ni khoek to oh o.
