1 Chronicles 27

1 Now, the sons of Israel—as to the number of them, the ancestral chiefs—and rulers of thousands and hundreds, and their officers who waited upon the king as to any matter of the courses, who came in and went out month by month, for all the months of the year, in each course, were twenty-four thousand.

١ وَبَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ حَسَبَ عَدَدِهِمْ مِنْ رُؤُوسِ ٱلْآبَاءِ وَرُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْأُلُوفِ وَٱلْمِئَاتِ وَعُرَفَاؤُهُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْدِمُونَ ٱلْمَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ أُمُورِ ٱلْفِرَقِ ٱلدَّاخِلِينَ وَٱلْخَارِجِينَ شَهْرًا فَشَهْرًا لِكُلِّ شُهُورِ ٱلسَّنَةِ، كُلُّ فِرْقَةٍ كَانَتْ أَرْبَعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ أَلْفًا.

2 Over the first course, for the first month, was Jashobeam, son of Zabdiel, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

٢ عَلَى ٱلْفِرْقَةِ ٱلْأُولَى لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ يَشُبْعَامُ بْنُ زَبْدِيئِيلَ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

3 Of the sons of Perez, was the chief for all the rulers of the hosts, for the first month.

٣ مِنْ بَنِي فَارَصَ كَانَ رَأْسُ جَمِيعِ رُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْجُيُوشِ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ.

4 And, over the course for the second month, was Dodai an Ahohite, and, of his course, was Mikloth also a chief ruler, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

٤ وَعَلَى فِرْقَةِ ٱلشَّهْرِ ٱلثَّانِي دُودَايُ ٱلْأَخُوخِيُّ، وَمِنْ فِرْقَتِهِ مَقْلُوثُ ٱلرَّئِيسُ. وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

5 The ruler of the third host, for the third month, was Benaiah, son of Jehoiada the priest—a chief, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

٥ رَئِيسُ ٱلْجَيْشِ ٱلثَّالثُ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلثَّالِثِ بَنَايَا بْنُ يَهُويَادَاعَ ٱلْكَاهِنُ ٱلرَّأْسُ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

6 The same Benaiah, was a hero of thirty, and over the thirty, —and, over his course, was Ammizabad his son.

٦ هُوَ بَنَايَا جَبَّارُ ٱلثَّلَاثِينَ، وَعَلَى ٱلثَّلَاثِينَ وَمِنْ فِرْقَتِهِ عَمِّيزَابَادُ ٱبْنُهُ.

7 The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel, brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son, after him, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

٧ ٱلرَّابِعُ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلرَّابِعِ عَسَائِيلُ أَخُو يُوآبَ وَزَبَدْيَا ٱبْنُهُ بَعْدَهُ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

8 Of the fifth, for the fifth month, the ruler, was Shamhuth the Izrahite, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

٨ ٱلْخَامِسُ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلْخَامِسِ ٱلرَّئِيسُ شَمْحُوثُ ٱلْيَزْرَاحِيُّ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

9 The sixth, for the sixth month, was Ira son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

٩ ٱلسَّادِسُ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلسَّادِسِ عِيرَا بْنُ عِقِّيشَ ٱلتَّقُوعِيُّ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

10 The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

١٠ ٱلسَّابِعُ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلسَّابِعِ حَالِصُ ٱلْفَلُونِيُّ مِنْ بَنِي أَفْرَايِمَ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

11 The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

١١ ٱلثَّامِنُ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلثَّامِنِ سِبْكَايُ ٱلْحُوشَاتِيُّ مِنَ ٱلزَّارَحِيِّينَ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

12 The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

١٢ ٱلتَّاسِعُ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلتَّاسِعِ أَبِيعَزَرُ ٱلْعَنَاثُوثِيُّ مِنْ بَنْيَامِينَ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

13 The tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

١٣ ٱلْعَاشِرُ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلْعَاشِرِ مَهْرَايُ ٱلنَّطُوفَاتِيُّ مِنَ ٱلزَّارَحِيِّينَ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

14 The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

١٤ ٱلْحَادِي عَشَرَ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلْحَادِي عَشَرَ بَنَايَا ٱلْفَرْعَتُونِيُّ مِنْ بَنِي أَفْرَايِمَ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

15 The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

١٥ ٱلثَّانِي عَشَرَ لِلشَّهْرِ ٱلثَّانِي عَشَرَ خَلْدَايُ ٱلنَّطُوفَاتِيُّ مِنْ عُثْنِئِيلَ، وَفِي فِرْقَتِهِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفًا.

16 Furthermore, over the tribes of Israel, the chief ruler of the Reubenites, was Eliezer, son of Zichri. Of the Simeonites, Shephatiah, son of Maacah.

١٦ وَعَلَى أَسْبَاطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ: لِلرَّأُوبَيْنِيِّينَ ٱلرَّئِيسُ: أَلِيعَزَرُ بْنُ زِكْرِي. لِلشِّمْعُونِيِّينَ: شَفَطْيَا بْنُ مَعْكَةَ.

17 Of Levi, Hashabiah, son of Kemuel. Of Aaron, Zadok.

١٧ لِلَّاوِيِّينَ: حَشَبْيَا بْنُ قَمُوئِيلَ. لِهَارُونَ: صَادُوقُ.

18 Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David. Of Issachar, Omri, son of Michael.

١٨ لِيَهُوذَا: أَلِيهُو مِنْ إِخْوَةِ دَاوُدَ. لِيَسَّاكَرَ: عَمْرِي بْنُ مِيخَائِيلَ.

19 Of Zebulun, Ishmaiah, son of Obadiah. Of Naphtali, Jeremoth, son of Azriel.

١٩ لِزَبُولُونَ: يَشْمَعِيَا بْنُ عُوبَدْيَا. لِنَفْتَالِي: يَرِيمُوثُ بْنُ عَزَرْئِيلَ.

20 Of the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea son of Azaziah. Of the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel, son of Pedaiah.

٢٠ لِبَنِي أَفْرَايِمَ: هُوشَعُ بْنُ عَزَزْيَا. لِنِصْفِ سِبْطِ مَنَسَّى: يُوئِيلُ بْنُ فَدَايَا.

21 Of the half of Manasseh, in Gilead, Iddo, son of Zechariah. Of Benjamin, Jaasiel, son of Abner.

٢١ لِنِصْفِ سِبْطِ مَنَسَّى فِي جِلْعَادَ: يَدُّو بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا. لِبَنْيَامِينَ: يَعْسِيئِيلُ بْنُ أَبْنَيْرَ.

22 Of Dan, Azarel, son of Jeroham. These, were the rulers of the tribes of Israel.

٢٢ لِدَانَ: عَزَرْئِيلُ بْنُ يَرُوحَامَ. هَؤُلَاءِ رُؤَسَاءُ أَسْبَاطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

23 But David took not the number of them, from twenty years old, and under, —because Yahweh had said, he would multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.

٢٣ وَلَمْ يَأْخُذْ دَاوُدُ عَدَدَهُمْ مِنِ ٱبْنِ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً فَمَا دُونَ، لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ قَالَ إِنَّهُ يُكَثِّرُ إِسْرَائِيلَ كَنُجُومِ ٱلسَّمَاءِ.

24 Joab son of Zeruiah, began to number, but finished not, when there arose, on this account, indignation against Israel, —neither did the number come up into the account of the chronicles of King David.

٢٤ يُوآبُ ٱبْنُ صَرُويَةَ ٱبْتَدَأَ يُحْصِي وَلَمْ يُكْمِلْ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ مِنْ جَرَى ذَلِكَ سَخَطٌ عَلَى إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَلَمْ يُدَوَّنِ ٱلْعَدَدُ فِي سِفْرِ أَخْبَارِ ٱلْأَيَّامِ لِلْمَلِكِ دَاوُدَ.

25 And, over the treasuries of the king, was Azmaveth, son of Adiel. And, over the treasuries in the fields, in the cities, in the villages and in the castles, was Jonathan, son of Uzziah;

٢٥ وَعَلَى خَزَائِنِ ٱلْمَلِكِ عَزْمُوتُ بْنُ عَدِيئِيلَ. وَعَلَى ٱلْخَزَائِنِ فِي ٱلْحَقْلِ فِي ٱلْمُدُنِ وَٱلْقُرَى وَٱلْحُصُونِ يَهُونَاثَانُ بْنُ عُزِّيَّا.

26 And, over the workers of the field, for the tillage of the ground, was Ezri, son of Chelub.

٢٦ وَعَلَى ٱلْفَعَلَةِ فِي ٱلْحَقْلِ لِشُغْلِ ٱلْأَرْضِ عَزْرِي بْنُ كَلُوبَ.

27 And, over the vineyards, was Shimei, the Ramathite. And, over that which was in the vineyards, for the treasuries of wine, was Zabdi, the Shiphmite.

٢٧ وَعَلَى ٱلْكُرُومِ شِمْعِي ٱلرَّامِيُّ. وَعَلَى مَا فِي ٱلْكُرُومِ مِنْ خَزَائِنِ ٱلْخَمْرِ زَبْدِي ٱلشَّفْمِيُّ.

28 And, over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowland, was Baal-hanan the Gederite. And, over the treasuries of oil, was Joash.

٢٨ وَعَلَى ٱلزَّيْتُونِ وَٱلْجُمَّيْزِ ٱللَّذَيْنِ فِي ٱلسَّهْلِ بَعْلُ حَانَانَ ٱلْجَدِيرِيُّ. وَعَلَى خَزَائِنِ ٱلزَّيْتِ يُوعَاشُ.

29 And, over the herds that pastured in Sharon, was Shitrai, the Sharonite. And, over the herds in the vales, Shaphat, son of Adlai.

٢٩ وَعَلَى ٱلْبَقَرِ ٱلسَّائِمِ فِي شَارُونَ شَطْرَايُ ٱلشَّارُونِيُّ. وَعَلَى ٱلْبَقَرِ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلْأَوْدِيَةِ شَافَاطُ بْنُ عَدْلَايَ.

30 And, over the camels, was Obil, the Ishmaelite. And, over the asses, was Jehdeyahu the Meronothite.

٣٠ وَعَلَى ٱلْجِمَالِ أُوبِيلُ ٱلْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ. وَعَلَى ٱلْحَمِيرِ يَحَدْيَا ٱلْمِيرُونُوثِيُّ.

31 And, over the flocks, was Jaziz, the Hagrite. All these, were rulers over the possessions that belonged to King David.

٣١ وَعَلَى ٱلْغَنَمِ يَازِيزُ ٱلْهَاجِرِيُّ. كُلُّ هَؤُلَاءِ رُؤَسَاءُ ٱلْأَمْلَاكِ ٱلَّتِي لِلْمَلِكِ دَاوُدَ.

32 And, Jonathan the relative of David, was a counsellor, a man of understanding and a scribe, was he. And, Jehiel son of Hachmoni, was with the sons of the king.

٣٢ وَيَهُونَاثَانُ عَمُّ دَاوُدَ كَانَ مُشِيرًا وَرَجُلًا مُخْتَبِرًا وَفَقِيهًا. وَيَحِيئِيلُ بْنُ حَكْمُونِي كَانَ مَعَ بَنِي ٱلْمَلِكِ.

33 And, Ahitophel, was counsellor to the king. And, Hushai the Archite, was the companion of the king.

٣٣ وَكَانَ أَخِيتُوفَلُ مُشِيرًا لِلْمَلِكِ، وَحُوشَايُ ٱلْأَرْكِيُّ صَاحِبَ ٱلْمَلِكِ.

34 And, after Ahitophel, was Jehoiada son of Benaiah—and Abiathar. And, the captain of the king’s army, was Joab.

٣٤ وَبَعْدَ أَخِيتُوفَلَ يَهُويَادَاعُ بْنُ بَنَايَا وَأَبِيَاثَارُ. وَكَانَ رَئِيسَ جَيْشِ ٱلْمَلِكِ يُوآبُ.
