< 1 Chronicles 20 >

1 And it came to pass, at the time of the turn of the year, at the time of the going forth of kings, that Joab led forth the force of the army, and laid waste the land of the sons of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah, but, David, was tarrying in Jerusalem, —and Joab smote Rabbah, and overthrew it.
Asusow bere, afe mu bere a ahemfo kɔ ɔko no, Yoab dii Israel asraafo anim, kɔtow hyɛɛ Amonfo nkurow ne nkuraa so, dii wɔn so nkonim. Akodi no mu no, wotuaa Raba kuropɔn no, sɛee no. Saa bere no na Dawid te akyi wɔ Yerusalem.
2 And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it weighed a talent of gold, and, therein, were precious stones, and it was [set] on the head of David, —and, the spoil of the city, brought he forth, in great abundance;
Bere a Dawid duu Raba no, otuu ɔhene no ahenkyɛw, na wɔde hyɛɛ Dawid. Sikakɔkɔɔ na wɔde yɛɛ ahenkyɛw no na wɔde aboɔdemmo abobɔ mu. Na emu duru bɛyɛ kilogram aduasa anan. Dawid faa asade bebree fii kurow no mu.
3 and, the people that were therein, brought he forth, and cut with the saw and with threshing sledges of iron and with axes, thus also, used David to do unto all the cities of the son of Ammon, —and David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
Ɔde Rabafo no yɛɛ nkoa, hyɛɛ wɔn ma wɔde ɔwan, famtunnade ne mmonnua yɛɛ adwuma. Saa ara nso na ɔyɛɛ nnipa a wɔwɔ Amon nkuropɔn nyinaa so. Na Dawid ne nʼakofo san kɔɔ Yerusalem.
4 And it came to pass, after this, that there was yet again a battle in Gezer, with the Philistines, —then, Sibbecai the Hushathite smote Sippai of the children of the giants, and they were subdued.
Eyi akyi, ɔko sii wɔne Filistifo ntam wɔ Geser. Ɔko no mu no, Sibekai a ofi Husa kum Sipai a ɔyɛ abran no aseni ma wɔkaa Filistifo no hyɛe.
5 And there again came to be a battle with the Philistines, —and Elhanan son of Jair smote Lahmi, brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear, was like a weaver’s beam.
Ɔko foforo bi a wɔne Filistifo koe no mu no, Yair babarima Elhanan kum Gatni Goliat nuabarima Lahmi. Na Lahmi peaw nsa mu pipiripi te sɛ ntamanwemfo abaa.
6 And there again came to be war with Gath, —where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes, six on each hand and foot, were four and twenty, and, he also, had been born unto the giant.
Ɔko foforo bi nso a wɔne Filistifo koe wɔ Gat no, ɔbran bi a ɔyɛ abran asefo no bi a ɔyɛ nsansia yɛ nansia wɔ ne nsa ne ne nan biara so no
7 But, when he reproached Israel, Jonathan, son of Shimea brother of David, smote him.
buu Israel animtiaa, twitwaa mpoa. Na Dawid nuabarima Simea babarima Yonatan kum no.
8 These, were born unto the giant in Gath, —but they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
Na saa Filistifo yi yɛ Gat abran no asefo nanso Dawid ne nʼakofo kunkum wɔn.
