1 Chronicles 2

1 These, are the sons of Israel, —Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun;

Hawa ndio waliokuwa wana wa Israeli: Reubeni, Simeoni, Lawi, Yuda, Isakari, Zabuloni,

2 Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher,

Dani, Yosefu, Benyamini, Naftali, Gadi na Asheri.

3 the sons of Judah, Er, and Onan, and Shelah, the three born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess, —but Er the firstborn of Judah became wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, and he slew him.

Wana wa Yuda walikuwa: Eri, Onani na Shela. Hawa watatu walizaliwa kwake na mkewe Mkanaani, binti wa Shua. Eri, mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Yuda, alikuwa mwovu machoni pa Bwana, kwa hiyo Bwana alimuua.

4 And, Tamar his daughter-in-law, bare him, Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah, were five.

Tamari, mkwewe Yuda, alimzalia wana wawili: Peresi na Zera. Yuda alikuwa na jumla ya wana watano.

5 The sons of Perez, Hezron and Hamul.

Wana wa Peresi walikuwa: Hesroni na Hamuli.

6 And, the sons of Zerah, Zimri and Ethan, and Heman and Calcol and Dara, all of them, five.

Wana wa Zera walikuwa: Zimri, Ethani, Hemani, Kalkoli na Dara. Jumla ya wana wa Zera walikuwa watano.

7 And, the sons of Carmi, Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in a thing devoted.

Mwana wa Karmi alikuwa: Akari, ambaye alileta taabu kwa Waisraeli kwa kukiuka onyo la kutokuchukua vitu vilivyokuwa vimewekwa wakfu.

8 And, the sons of Ethan, Azariah.

Mwana wa Ethani alikuwa: Azariya.

9 And, the sons of Hezron, who were born to him, Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Calubai.

Wana wa Hesroni walikuwa: Yerameeli, Ramu na Kalebu.

10 And, Ram, begat Amminadab, —and, Amminadab, begat Nahshon, leader of the sons of Judah.

Ramu alimzaa Aminadabu, na Aminadabu akamzaa Nashoni, kiongozi wa kabila la Yuda.

11 And, Nahshon, begat Salma, and, Salma, begat Boaz;

Nashoni akamzaa Salmoni, Salmoni akamzaa Boazi,

12 and, Boaz, begat Obed, and, Obed, begat Jesse;

Boazi akamzaa Obedi, Obedi akamzaa Yese.

13 and, Jesse, begat—his firstborn, Eliab, —and Abinadab, the second, and Shimea, the third;

Yese akawazaa Eliabu mwanawe wa kwanza; wa pili Abinadabu, wa tatu Shimea,

14 Nethanel, the fourth, Raddai, the fifth;

wa nne Nethaneli, wa tano Radai,

15 Ozem, the sixth, David, the seventh.

wa sita Osemu, na wa saba Daudi.

16 And, their sisters, were Zeruiah and Abigail, —and, the sons of Zeruiah, Abishai and Joab and Asahel, three,

Dada zao walikuwa Seruya na Abigaili. Wana wa Seruya walikuwa watatu: Abishai, Yoabu na Asaheli.

17 And, Abigail, bare Amasa, —and, the father of Amasa, was Jether the Ishmaelite.

Abigaili alikuwa mama yake Amasa, ambaye baba yake alikuwa Yetheri, Mwishmaeli.

18 And, Caleb son of Hezron, begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth, —and, these, were her sons, Jesher and Shobab and Ardon.

Kalebu mwana wa Hesroni akazaa wana na mkewe Azuba (na pia na Yeriothi). Hawa ndio wana Azuba aliomzalia Kalebu: Yesheri, Shobabu na Ardoni.

19 And Azubah died, —and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, and she bare to him Hur.

Azuba alipofariki, Kalebu akamwoa Efrathi, ambaye alimzalia Huri.

20 And, Hur, begat Uri, and, Uri, begat Bezalel.

Huri akamzaa Uri, Uri akamzaa Bezaleli.

21 And, afterward, Hezron went in unto the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty years old, —and she bare him Segub.

Hatimaye, Hesroni akakutana kimwili na binti wa Makiri babaye Gileadi (ambaye alimwoa alipokuwa na umri wa miaka sitini), naye akamzaa Segubu.

22 And, Segub, begat Jair, —who came to have twenty-three cities, in the land of Gilead;

Segubu akamzaa Yairi, ambaye alitawala miji ishirini na mitatu katika Gileadi.

23 but Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath and the villages thereof, sixty cities. All these, were the sons of Machir, father of Gilead.

(Lakini Geshuri na Aramu wakateka miji ya Hawoth-Yairi, pamoja na Kenathi na viunga vyake; jumla ilikuwa miji sitini.) Wote hawa walikuwa wazao wa Makiri babaye Gileadi.

24 And, after the death of Hezron, Caleb entered Ephrathah, —and, the wife of Hezron, was Abiah, who bare him Ashur, father of Tekoa.

Baada ya Hesroni kufa huko Efrathi, Abiya mjane wa Hesroni akamzalia Ashuru, aliye baba wa Tekoa.

25 And the sons of Jerahmeel firstborn of Hezron were, the firstborn, Ram, —and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem [of] Ahijah.

Wana wa Yerameeli mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Hesroni walikuwa: Ramu mzaliwa wake wa kwanza, Buna, Oreni, Osemu na Ahiya.

26 And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name, was Atarah, —the same, was the mother of Onam.

Yerameeli alikuwa na mke mwingine, aliyeitwa Atara, aliyekuwa mama yake Onamu.

27 And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerameel, were, —Maaz and Jamin, and Eker.

Wana wa Ramu mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Yerameeli walikuwa: Maasi, Yamini na Ekeri.

28 And the sons of Onam were, Shammai and Jada, —and, the sons of Shammai, Nadab and Abishur.

Wana wa Onamu walikuwa: Shamai na Yada. Wana wa Shamai walikuwa: Nadabu na Abishuri.

29 And, the name of the wife of Abishur, was Abihail, —and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.

Mke wa Abishuri aliitwa Abihaili, ambaye alimzalia Abani na Molidi.

30 And, the sons of Nadab, Seled and Appaim, —but Seled died without sons.

Wana wa Nadabu walikuwa Seledi na Apaimu, lakini Seledi alikufa bila kuzaa watoto.

31 And, the sons of Appaim, Ishi, and, the sons of Ishi, Sheshan, and, the sons of Sheshan, Ahlai.

Apaimu akamzaa: Ishi ambaye alikuwa baba wa Sheshani. Sheshani akamzaa Alai.

32 And, the sons of Jada, brother of Shammai, Jether, and Jonathan, —but Jether died without sons.

Wana wa Yada, nduguye Shamai walikuwa: Yetheri na Yonathani. Yetheri alikufa bila kuzaa watoto.

33 And the sons of Jonathan, Peleth and Zaza. These, were the sons of Jerahmeel.

Wana wa Yonathani walikuwa: Pelethi na Zaza. Hawa ndio waliokuwa wazao wa Yerameeli.

34 Now Sheshan had, no sons, but, daughters, —and, Sheshan, had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha;

Sheshani hakuwa na watoto wa kiume, ila wasichana tu. Alikuwa na mtumishi Mmisri aliyeitwa Yarha.

35 so Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant, to wife, —and she bare him Attai.

Sheshani akamwoza huyu mtumishi wake Yarha binti yake, akamzalia mwana jina lake Atai.

36 And, Attai, begat Nathan, and, Nathan, begat Zabad;

Atai akamzaa Nathani, Nathani akamzaa Zabadi,

37 and, Zabad, begat Ephlal, and, Ephlal, begat Obed;

Zabadi akamzaa Eflali, Eflali akamzaa Obedi,

38 and, Obed, begat Jehu, and, Jehu, begat Azariah;

Obedi akamzaa Yehu, Yehu akamzaa Azaria,

39 and, Azariah, begat Helez, and, Helez, begat Eleasah;

Azaria akamzaa Helesi, Helesi akamzaa Eleasa,

40 and, Eleasah, begat Sismai, and, Sismai, begat Shallum;

Eleasa akamzaa Sismai, Sismai akamzaa Shalumu,

41 and, Shallum, begat Jekamiah, and, Jekamiah, begat Elishama.

Shalumu akamzaa Yekamia, naye Yekamia akamzaa Elishama.

42 Now, the sons of Caleb, brother of Jerahmeel, were, Mesha his firstborn, the same, was the father of Ziph, —and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

Wana wa Kalebu nduguye Yerameeli walikuwa: Mesha mzaliwa wake wa kwanza alimzaa Zifu, naye mwanawe Maresha akamzaa Hebroni.

43 And, the sons of Hebron, Korah and Tappuah, and Rekem and Shema.

Hebroni alikuwa na wana wanne: Kora, Tapua, Rekemu na Shema.

44 And, Shema, begat Raham, the father of Jorkeam, —and, Rekem, begat Shammai.

Shema alikuwa baba yake Rahamu na Rahamu alikuwa baba wa Yorkeamu na Rekemu alikuwa baba wa Shamai.

45 And, the son of Shammai, was Maon, —and, Maon, was the father of Beth-zur.

Shamai akamzaa Maoni na Maoni akamzaa Beth-Suri.

46 And, Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bare Haran and Moza, and Gazez, —and, Haran, begat Gazez.

Efa, suria wa Kalebu alikuwa mamaye Harani, Mosa na Gazezi. Harani alikuwa baba wa Gazezi.

47 And, the sons of Jahdai, Regem and Jotham and Geshan and Pelet, and Ephah and Shaaph.

Wana wa Yadai walikuwa: Regemu, Yothamu, Geshani, Peleti, Efa na Shaafu.

48 A concubine of Caleb, Maacah, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah;

Maaka suria wa Kalebu alikuwa mamaye Sheberi na Tirhana.

49 she also bare Shaaph, father of Madmannah, Sheva, father of Machbena, and father of Gibea, —and, the daughter of Caleb, was Achsah.

Pia Maaka akamzaa Shaafu babaye Madmana, na Sheva babaye Makbena na Gibea. Kalebu alikuwa na binti jina lake Aksa.

50 These, were the sons of Caleb, sons of Hur, firstborn of Ephrathah, —Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;

Hawa ndio waliokuwa wazao wa Kalebu. Wana wa Huri, mzaliwa mkuu wao wa Efrathi, walikuwa: Shobali akamzaa Kiriath-Yearimu,

51 Salma, the father of Bethlehem, Hareph, the father of Beth-gader.

Salma akamzaa Bethlehemu, naye Harefu akamzaa Beth-Gaderi.

52 And Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons, —Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth.

Wazao wa Shobali, baba yake Kiriath-Yearimu, walikuwa: Haroe, nusu ya wakazi wa mji wa Menuhothi,

53 And, the families of Kiriath-jearim, were the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites, —from these, came the Zorathites, and the Eshtaolites.

pamoja na koo za Kiriath-Yearimu ambazo ni: Waithiri, Waputhi, Washumathi na Wamishrai. Kutokana na watu hawa walizaliwa Wasorathi na Waeshtaoli.

54 The sons of Salma, were Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Atrothbeth-joab, —and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites;

Wazao wa Salma walikuwa: Bethlehemu, Wanetofathi, Atroth-Beth-Yoabu, nusu ya Wamanahathi, Wasori,

55 and the families of scribes who dwelt at Jabez, the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. The same, are the Kenites who came in from Hammath, father of the house of Rechab.

pamoja na koo za waandishi zilizoishi katika mji wa Yabesi: yaani Watirathi, Washimeathi na Wasukathi. Hawa ndio Wakeni waliotokana na Hamathi, baba wa nyumba ya Rekabu.
