1 Chronicles 2

1 These, are the sons of Israel, —Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun;

4 And, Tamar his daughter-in-law, bare him, Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah, were five.

8 And, the sons of Ethan, Azariah.

9 And, the sons of Hezron, who were born to him, Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Calubai.

10 And, Ram, begat Amminadab, —and, Amminadab, begat Nahshon, leader of the sons of Judah.

11 And, Nahshon, begat Salma, and, Salma, begat Boaz;

12 and, Boaz, begat Obed, and, Obed, begat Jesse;

13 and, Jesse, begat—his firstborn, Eliab, —and Abinadab, the second, and Shimea, the third;

Jesii nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Eliabu, irigithathi rĩake; nake Abinadabu aarĩ wa keerĩ, na Shimea wa gatatũ,

14 Nethanel, the fourth, Raddai, the fifth;

15 Ozem, the sixth, David, the seventh.

16 And, their sisters, were Zeruiah and Abigail, —and, the sons of Zeruiah, Abishai and Joab and Asahel, three,

Nao aarĩ a nyina maarĩ Zeruia na Abigaili. Ariũ a Zeruia maarĩ atatũ, na nĩo Abishai, na Joabu, na Asaheli.

17 And, Abigail, bare Amasa, —and, the father of Amasa, was Jether the Ishmaelite.

18 And, Caleb son of Hezron, begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth, —and, these, were her sons, Jesher and Shobab and Ardon.

19 And Azubah died, —and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, and she bare to him Hur.

20 And, Hur, begat Uri, and, Uri, begat Bezalel.

21 And, afterward, Hezron went in unto the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty years old, —and she bare him Segub.

22 And, Segub, begat Jair, —who came to have twenty-three cities, in the land of Gilead;

23 but Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath and the villages thereof, sixty cities. All these, were the sons of Machir, father of Gilead.

24 And, after the death of Hezron, Caleb entered Ephrathah, —and, the wife of Hezron, was Abiah, who bare him Ashur, father of Tekoa.

25 And the sons of Jerahmeel firstborn of Hezron were, the firstborn, Ram, —and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem [of] Ahijah.

Ariũ a Jerameeli, ũrĩa warĩ irigithathi rĩa Hezironi, maarĩ: Ramu ũrĩa warĩ irigithathi rĩake, na Buna, na Oreni, na Ozemu, na Ahija.

26 And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name, was Atarah, —the same, was the mother of Onam.

Jerameeli aarĩ na mũtumia ũngĩ wetagwo Atara, nake nĩwe warĩ nyina wa Onamu.

27 And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerameel, were, —Maaz and Jamin, and Eker.

Ariũ a Ramu, ũrĩa warĩ irigithathi rĩa Jerameeli, maarĩ: Maazu, na Jamini, na Ekeri.

28 And the sons of Onam were, Shammai and Jada, —and, the sons of Shammai, Nadab and Abishur.

Ariũ a Onamu maarĩ: Shamai na Jada. Nao ariũ a Shamai maarĩ: Nadabu na Abishuri.

29 And, the name of the wife of Abishur, was Abihail, —and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.

Mũtumia wa Abishuri eetagwo Abihaili, ũrĩa wamũciarĩire Ahabani na Molidi.

30 And, the sons of Nadab, Seled and Appaim, —but Seled died without sons.

Ariũ a Nadabu maarĩ: Seledi na Apaimu. No rĩrĩ, Seledi aakuire atarĩ na ciana.

31 And, the sons of Appaim, Ishi, and, the sons of Ishi, Sheshan, and, the sons of Sheshan, Ahlai.

Mũrũ wa Apaimu aarĩ: Ishi, ũrĩa warĩ ithe wa Sheshani. Nake Sheshani nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Ahalai.

32 And, the sons of Jada, brother of Shammai, Jether, and Jonathan, —but Jether died without sons.

Ariũ a Jada, mũrũ wa nyina na Shamai, maarĩ: Jetheri na Jonathani. Jetheri aakuire atarĩ na ciana.

33 And the sons of Jonathan, Peleth and Zaza. These, were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34 Now Sheshan had, no sons, but, daughters, —and, Sheshan, had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha;

35 so Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant, to wife, —and she bare him Attai.

Sheshani akĩhe Jariha ndungata ĩyo yake mwarĩ ĩmũhikie, nake akĩgĩa mwana wetagwo Atai.

36 And, Attai, begat Nathan, and, Nathan, begat Zabad;

Atai nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Nathani, nake Nathani nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Zabadi,

37 and, Zabad, begat Ephlal, and, Ephlal, begat Obed;

nake Zabadi nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Efilali, nake Efilali nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Obedi,

38 and, Obed, begat Jehu, and, Jehu, begat Azariah;

nake Obedi nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Jehu, nake Jehu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Azaria,

39 and, Azariah, begat Helez, and, Helez, begat Eleasah;

nake Azaria nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Helezu, nake Helezu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Eleasa,

40 and, Eleasah, begat Sismai, and, Sismai, begat Shallum;

nake Eleasa nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Sisimai, nake Sisimai nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Shalumu,

41 and, Shallum, begat Jekamiah, and, Jekamiah, begat Elishama.

nake Shalumu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Jekamia, nake Jekamia nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Elishama.

42 Now, the sons of Caleb, brother of Jerahmeel, were, Mesha his firstborn, the same, was the father of Ziph, —and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

Ariũ a Kalebu, ũrĩa warĩ mũrũ wa nyina na Jerameeli, maarĩ: Mesha irigithathi rĩake, na nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Zifu, na mũriũ Maresha ũrĩa warĩ ithe wa Hebironi.

43 And, the sons of Hebron, Korah and Tappuah, and Rekem and Shema.

Ariũ a Hebironi maarĩ: Kora, na Tapua, na Rekemu, na Shema.

44 And, Shema, begat Raham, the father of Jorkeam, —and, Rekem, begat Shammai.

Shema nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Rahamu, na Rahamu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Jorikeamu. Rekemu aarĩ ithe wa Shamai.

45 And, the son of Shammai, was Maon, —and, Maon, was the father of Beth-zur.

Mũrũ wa Shamai aarĩ Maoni, nake nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Bethi-Zuru.

46 And, Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bare Haran and Moza, and Gazez, —and, Haran, begat Gazez.

Nake Efa, thuriya ya Kalebu, nĩwe warĩ nyina wa Harani, na Moza, na Gazezi. Nake Harani nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Gazezi.

47 And, the sons of Jahdai, Regem and Jotham and Geshan and Pelet, and Ephah and Shaaph.

Ariũ a Jahadai maarĩ: Regemu, na Jothamu, na Geshani, na Peleti, na Efa, na Shaafu.

48 A concubine of Caleb, Maacah, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah;

Nake Maaka, thuriya ya Kalebu, nĩwe warĩ nyina wa Sheberi na Tirihana.

49 she also bare Shaaph, father of Madmannah, Sheva, father of Machbena, and father of Gibea, —and, the daughter of Caleb, was Achsah.

Ningĩ nowe waciarire Shaafu ũrĩa warĩ ithe wa Madimana, na Sheva ithe wa Makibena na Gibea. Mwarĩ wa Kalebu eetagwo Akisa.

50 These, were the sons of Caleb, sons of Hur, firstborn of Ephrathah, —Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;

Acio nĩo maarĩ njiaro cia Kalebu. Ariũ a Huru, irigithathi rĩa Efiratha, maarĩ: Shobali ithe wa Kiriathu-Jearimu,

51 Salma, the father of Bethlehem, Hareph, the father of Beth-gader.

52 And Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons, —Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth.

Njiaro cia Shobali, ithe wa Kiriathu-Jearimu, ciarĩ: Haroe, na nuthu ya Amanahathi,

53 And, the families of Kiriath-jearim, were the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites, —from these, came the Zorathites, and the Eshtaolites.

na mĩhĩrĩga ya Kiriathu-Jearimu ĩrĩa yatariĩ ta ũũ: Aithiri, na Aputhi, na Ashumathi, na Amishirai. Kuuma kũrĩ acio gũkĩgĩa njiaro cia Azorathi na Aeshitaoli.

54 The sons of Salma, were Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Atrothbeth-joab, —and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites;

55 and the families of scribes who dwelt at Jabez, the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. The same, are the Kenites who came in from Hammath, father of the house of Rechab.

na mĩhĩrĩga ya aandĩki-marũa arĩa maatũũraga Jabezu ĩrĩa yatariĩ ta ũũ: Atirathi, na Ashimeathi, na Asukathi. Aya nĩo Akeni arĩa moimĩte harĩ Hamathu, ithe wa nyũmba ya Rekabu.
