1 Chronicles 18
1 And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.
Después de estas cosas aconteció que David hirió a los filisteos, y los humilló; y tomó a Gat y a sus villas de mano de los filisteos.
2 And he smote Moab, —and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.
También hirió a Moab; y los moabitas fueron siervos de David trayéndole presentes.
3 And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, —as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.
Asimismo hirió David a Hadad-ezer rey de Soba, en Hamat, yendo él a asegurar su dominio al río Eufrates.
4 And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.
Y les tomó David mil carros, y siete mil caballos, y veinte mil hombres de a pie; y desjarretó David los caballos de todos los carros, excepto los de cien carros que dejó.
5 And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
Y viniendo Siria, la de Damasco, en ayuda de Hadad-ezer rey de Soba, David hirió de los sirios veintidós mil varones.
6 And David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David’s, servants, bearers of a present, —so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.
Y puso David guarnición en Siria, la de Damasco, y los sirios fueron hechos siervos de David, trayéndole presentes; porque el SEÑOR salvaba a David donde quiera que iba.
7 And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
Tomó también David los escudos de oro que llevaban los siervos de Hadad-ezer, y los trajo a Jerusalén.
8 also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, —therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
Asimismo de Tibhat y de Cun ciudades de Hadad-ezer, tomó David muchísimo bronce, de que Salomón hizo el mar de bronce, las columnas, y vasos de bronce.
9 And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
Y oyendo Toi rey de Hamat, que David había deshecho todo el ejército de Hadad-ezer, rey de Soba,
10 he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, —and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;
envió a Adoram su hijo al rey David, a saludarle y a bendecirle por haber peleado con Hadad-ezer, y haberle vencido; porque Toi tenía guerra con Hadad-ezer. Y le envió toda suerte de vasos de oro, de plata y de bronce;
11 them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, —from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
los cuales el rey David dedicó al SEÑOR, con la plata y oro que había tomado de todas las naciones, de Edom, de Moab, de los hijos de Hamón, de los filisteos, y de Amalec.
12 Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, —eighteen thousand;
También Abisai hijo de Sarvia hirió a Edom en el valle de la Sal a dieciocho mil hombres.
13 and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.
Y puso guarnición en Edom, y todos los idumeos fueron siervos de David; porque el SEÑOR guardaba a David donde quiera que iba.
14 So David reigned over all Israel, —and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;
Y reinó David sobre todo Israel, y hacía juicio y justicia a todo su pueblo.
15 and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;
Y Joab hijo de Sarvia era general del ejército; y Josafat hijo de Ahilud, canciller;
16 and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Shavsha, was scribe;
y Sadoc hijo de Ahitob, y Abimelec hijo de Abiatar, eran sacerdotes; y Savsa, escriba;
17 and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
y Benaía hijo de Joiada era sobre los cereteos y peleteos; y los hijos de David eran los príncipes, a la mano del rey.
