1 Chronicles 18
1 And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.
Și după aceasta s-a întâmplat, că David a lovit pe filisteni și i-a supus și a luat Gat și orașele ei din mâna filistenilor.
2 And he smote Moab, —and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.
Și a lovit Moabul; și moabiții au devenit servitorii lui David și au adus daruri.
3 And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, —as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.
Și David a lovit pe Hadarezer, împăratul Țobei, până la Hamat, în timp ce acesta mergea să își întemeieze stăpânirea, până la râul Eufrat.
4 And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.
Și David a luat de la el o mie de care și șapte mii de călăreți și douăzeci de mii de pedeștri; David de asemenea a tăiat tendoanele tuturor cailor de la care și a păstrat o sută de care.
5 And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
Și când sirienii din Damasc au venit să îl ajute pe Hadarezer, împăratul Țobei, David a ucis dintre sirieni douăzeci și două de mii de bărbați.
6 And David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David’s, servants, bearers of a present, —so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.
Atunci David a pus garnizoane în Siria Damascului; și sirienii au devenit servitorii lui David și au adus daruri. Astfel DOMNUL a păstrat pe David oriunde el a mers.
7 And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
Și David a luat scuturile de aur care erau pe servitorii lui Hadarezer și le-a adus la Ierusalim.
8 also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, —therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
La fel de la Tibhat și din Cun, cetăți ale lui Hadarezer, a adus David foarte multă aramă, cu care Solomon a făcut marea de aramă și coloanele și vasele de aramă.
9 And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
Și când Tohu, împăratul Hamatului, a auzit cum David lovise toată oastea lui Hadarezer, împăratul Țobei,
10 he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, —and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;
A trimis pe Hadoram, fiul său, la împăratul David, pentru a-l întreba de bunăstare și pentru a-l felicita, deoarece luptase împotriva lui Hadarezer și îl lovise; (căci Hadarezer avea război cu Tohu); și a trimis cu el tot felul de vase din aur și argint și aramă.
11 them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, —from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
Pe acestea de asemenea David le-a dedicat DOMNULUI, cu argintul și aurul pe care l-a adus de la toate aceste națiuni; de la Edom și de la Moab și de la copiii lui Amon și de la filisteni și de la Amalec.
12 Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, —eighteen thousand;
Mai mult, Abișai, fiul Țeruiei, a ucis dintre edomiți în valea sării, optsprezece mii.
13 and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.
Și a pus garnizoană în Edom; și toți edomiții au devenit servitorii lui David. Astfel DOMNUL a păstrat pe David oriunde el a mers.
14 So David reigned over all Israel, —and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;
Și David a domnit peste tot Israelul și a făcut judecată și dreptate în tot poporul său.
15 and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;
Și Ioab, fiul Țeruiei, era peste oștire și Iosafat, fiul lui Ahilud, cronicar.
16 and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Shavsha, was scribe;
Și Țadoc, fiul lui Ahitub, și Abimelec, fiul lui Abiatar, erau preoți; și Șavșa era scrib;
17 and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
Și Benaia, fiul lui Iehoiada, era peste cheretiți și peletiți; și fiii lui David erau mai mari pe lângă împărat.
