1 Chronicles 18
1 And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.
੧ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਗਥ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ।
2 And he smote Moab, —and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.
੨ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ, ਤਦ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਬਣ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
3 And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, —as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.
੩ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸੋਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਦਦਅਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹਮਾਥ ਤੱਕ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਦਰਿਆ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਸਥਿਰ ਕਰਨ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
4 And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.
੪ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰਥ, ਸੱਤ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਵੀਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪਿਆਦੇ ਲੈ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਰੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੱਟਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਾੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਕੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਗੜੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਘੋੜੇ ਬਚਾ ਰੱਖੇ।
5 And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
੫ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਦੇ ਅਰਾਮੀ ਲੋਕ ਸੋਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਦਦਅਜ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ, ਤਾਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਈ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੇ।
6 And David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David’s, servants, bearers of a present, —so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.
੬ਤਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਦੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੌਂਕੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ-ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਸੀ
7 And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
੭ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਹਦਦਅਜ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਖੋਹ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ।
8 also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, —therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
੮ਅਤੇ ਹਦਦਅਜ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਨਗਰ ਟਿਬਹਥ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦਾ ਹੌਦ, ਥੰਮ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਬਣਾਏ।
9 And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
੯ਜਦ ਹਮਾਥ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੋਊ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸੋਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਦਦਅਜ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ,
10 he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, —and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;
੧੦ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਦੋਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਿਆਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦੇਵੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਦਦਅਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਪਾਈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਦਰਅਜ਼ਰ ਤੋਊ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਲੜਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ, ਚਾਂਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਜੇ।
11 them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, —from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਅਦੋਮ, ਮੋਆਬ, ਅੰਮੋਨ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ, ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕ ਤੋਂ ਲਏ ਸਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ
12 Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, —eighteen thousand;
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਅਬੀਸ਼ਈ ਸਰੂਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਲੂਣ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਦੋਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਜਣੇ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੇ।
13 and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.
੧੩ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਦੋਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੌਂਕੀਆਂ ਬਿਠਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਦੋਮੀ ਵੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ-ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਗਿਆ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਸੀ।
14 So David reigned over all Israel, —and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;
੧੪ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
15 and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;
੧੫ਸਰੂਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਆਬ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਹੀਲੂਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਤ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਸੀ।
16 and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Shavsha, was scribe;
੧੬ਅਤੇ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਅਹੀਟੂਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ, ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੌਵਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਨਸ਼ੀ ਸੀ
17 and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
੧੭ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਯਾਹ ਕਰੇਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਫਲੇਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਸਨ।
