1 Chronicles 17
1 And it came to pass, when David had taken up his abode in his house, that David said unto Nathan the prophet, Lo! I, am dwelling in a house of cedars, but, the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, is under curtains.
१जब दाऊद अपने भवन में रहने लगा, तब दाऊद ने नातान नबी से कहा, “देख, मैं तो देवदार के बने हुए घर में रहता हूँ, परन्तु यहोवा की वाचा का सन्दूक तम्बू में रहता है।”
2 Then said Nathan unto David, All that is in thy heart, do, —for, God, is with thee.
२नातान ने दाऊद से कहा, “जो कुछ तेरे मन में हो उसे कर, क्योंकि परमेश्वर तेरे संग है।”
3 But so it was that, in that night, the word of God came unto Nathan, saying:
३उसी दिन-रात को परमेश्वर का यह वचन नातान के पास पहुँचा, “जाकर मेरे दास दाऊद से कह,
4 Go and say unto David my servant, Thus, saith Yahweh, —Thou, shalt not build me a house, to dwell in;
४‘यहोवा यह कहता है: मेरे निवास के लिये तू घर बनवाने न पाएगा।
5 seeing that I have not dwelt in a house, since the day that I brought up Israel, until this day, —but have been from tent to tent, and without a habitation.
५क्योंकि जिस दिन से मैं इस्राएलियों को मिस्र से ले आया, आज के दिन तक मैं कभी घर में नहीं रहा; परन्तु एक तम्बू से दूसरे तम्बू को और एक निवास से दूसरे निवास को आया-जाया करता हूँ।
6 Wheresoever I have wandered with all Israel, spake I ever, a word, with one of the judges of Israel, whom I charged to shepherd my people, saying, —Wherefore have ye not built me a house of cedars?
६जहाँ-जहाँ मैंने सब इस्राएलियों के बीच आना-जाना किया, क्या मैंने इस्राएल के न्यायियों में से जिनको मैंने अपनी प्रजा की चरवाही करने को ठहराया था, किसी से ऐसी बात कभी कही कि तुम लोगों ने मेरे लिये देवदार का घर क्यों नहीं बनवाया?
7 Now, therefore, thus, shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I myself, took thee from the pasture, from after the flock, —to become leader over my people Israel;
७अत: अब तू मेरे दास दाऊद से ऐसा कह, कि सेनाओं का यहोवा यह कहता है, कि मैंने तो तुझको भेड़शाला से और भेड़-बकरियों के पीछे-पीछे फिरने से इस मनसा से बुला लिया, कि तू मेरी प्रजा इस्राएल का प्रधान हो जाए;
8 and was with thee whithersoever thou didst go, and have cut off all thine enemies, from before thee, —and will make thee a name, like the name of the great ones, who are in the earth;
८और जहाँ कहीं तू आया और गया, वहाँ मैं तेरे संग रहा, और तेरे सब शत्रुओं को तेरे सामने से नष्ट किया है। अब मैं तेरे नाम को पृथ्वी के बड़े-बड़े लोगों के नामों के समान बड़ा कर दूँगा।
9 and will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall inhabit their place, and be unsettled no more, —neither shall the sons of perversity again wear them out, as at the first;
९और मैं अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल के लिये एक स्थान ठहराऊँगा, और उसको स्थिर करूँगा कि वह अपने ही स्थान में बसी रहे और कभी चलायमान न हो; और कुटिल लोग उनको नाश न करने पाएँगे, जैसे कि पहले दिनों में करते थे,
10 even from the days when I put judges in charge over my people Israel, and have subdued all thine enemies, —that I might make thee great, yea, a house, will Yahweh build for thee.
१०वरन् उस समय भी जब मैं अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल के ऊपर न्यायी ठहराता था; अतः मैं तेरे सब शत्रुओं को दबा दूँगा। फिर मैं तुझे यह भी बताता हूँ, कि यहोवा तेरा घर बनाए रखेगा।
11 And it shall be that, when thy days are fulfilled, to sleep with thy fathers, then will I raise up thy seed after thee, who shall be of thy sons, —and I will establish his kingdom.
११जब तेरी आयु पूरी हो जाएगी और तुझे अपने पितरों के संग जाना पड़ेगा, तब मैं तेरे बाद तेरे वंश को जो तेरे पुत्रों में से होगा, खड़ा करके उसके राज्य को स्थिर करूँगा।
12 He, shall build me a house, —and I will establish his throne unto times age-abiding.
१२मेरे लिये एक घर वही बनाएगा, और मैं उसकी राजगद्दी को सदैव स्थिर रखूँगा।
13 I, will become his father, and, he, shall become my son, —and, my lovingkindness, will I not cause to depart from him, —as I caused it to depart from him who was before thee;
१३मैं उसका पिता ठहरूँगा और वह मेरा पुत्र ठहरेगा; और जैसे मैंने अपनी करुणा उस पर से जो तुझ से पहले था हटाई, वैसे मैं उस पर से न हटाऊँगा,
14 but I will cause him to remain over my house and over my kingdom, unto times age-abiding, —and, his throne, shall be established, unto times age-abiding.
१४वरन् मैं उसको अपने घर और अपने राज्य में सदैव स्थिर रखूँगा और उसकी राजगद्दी सदैव अटल रहेगी।’”
15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so, spake Nathan unto David.
१५इन सब बातों और इस दर्शन के अनुसार नातान ने दाऊद को समझा दिया।
16 Then entered King David, and tarried before Yahweh, —and said, Who am, I, O Yahweh God, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto;
१६तब दाऊद राजा भीतर जाकर यहोवा के सम्मुख बैठा, और कहने लगा, “हे यहोवा परमेश्वर! मैं क्या हूँ? और मेरा घराना क्या है? कि तूने मुझे यहाँ तक पहुँचाया है?
17 and hast made this seem little in thine eyes, O God, in that thou hast spoken concerning the house of thy servant, for a great while to come? Thus wilt thou provide for me, according to the rank of manhood, and hast exalted me, O Yahweh God!
१७हे परमेश्वर! यह तेरी दृष्टि में छोटी सी बात हुई, क्योंकि तूने अपने दास के घराने के विषय भविष्य के बहुत दिनों तक की चर्चा की है, और हे यहोवा परमेश्वर! तूने मुझे ऊँचे पद का मनुष्य सा जाना है।
18 What, yet further, can David say unto thee, [thus] to honour thy servant, —seeing that, thou thyself, knowest, thine own servant?
१८जो महिमा तेरे दास पर दिखाई गई है, उसके विषय दाऊद तुझ से और क्या कह सकता है? तू तो अपने दास को जानता है।
19 O Yahweh, for the sake of thy servant, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this great thing, —making known all the great things.
१९हे यहोवा! तूने अपने दास के निमित्त और अपने मन के अनुसार यह बड़ा काम किया है, कि तेरा दास उसको जान ले।
20 O Yahweh, there is none like unto thee, yea there is no God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
२०हे यहोवा! जो कुछ हमने अपने कानों से सुना है, उसके अनुसार तेरे तुल्य कोई नहीं, और न तुझे छोड़ और कोई परमेश्वर है।
21 Who then is like thy people Israel, a nation alone in the earth, —whom God went to redeem, to be his own people, to make for thyself a name for great and fearful things, to drive out, nations, from before thy people, whom thou didst redeem out of Egypt;
२१फिर तेरी प्रजा इस्राएल के भी तुल्य कौन है? वह तो पृथ्वी भर में एक ही जाति है, उसे परमेश्वर ने जाकर अपनी निज प्रजा करने को छुड़ाया, इसलिए कि तू बड़े और डरावने काम करके अपना नाम करे, और अपनी प्रजा के सामने से जो तूने मिस्र से छुड़ा ली थी, जाति-जाति के लोगों को निकाल दे।
22 and didst appoint thy people Israel for thyself as a people, unto times age-abiding, —thou thyself, also, O Yahweh, becoming their God?
२२क्योंकि तूने अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल को अपनी सदा की प्रजा होने के लिये ठहराया, और हे यहोवा! तू आप उसका परमेश्वर ठहरा।
23 Now, therefore, O Yahweh, the word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, be it steadfast unto times age-abiding, —and do as thou hast spoken:
२३इसलिए, अब हे यहोवा, तूने जो वचन अपने दास के और उसके घराने के विषय दिया है, वह सदैव अटल रहे, और अपने वचन के अनुसार ही कर।
24 yea let it be steadfast, and so let thy Name be magnified unto times age-abiding, saying, Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, is a God to Israel! seeing that, the house of David thy servant, is established before thee.
२४और तेरा नाम सदैव अटल रहे, और यह कहकर तेरी बड़ाई सदा की जाए, कि सेनाओं का यहोवा इस्राएल का परमेश्वर है, वरन् वह इस्राएल ही के लिये परमेश्वर है, और तेरे दास दाऊद का घराना तेरे सामने स्थिर रहे।
25 For, thou, O my God, hast unveiled the ear of thy servant, that thou wilt build for him a house, —for this cause, hath thy servant found [it in his heart] to pray before thee.
२५क्योंकि हे मेरे परमेश्वर, तूने यह कहकर अपने दास पर प्रगट किया है कि मैं तेरा घर बनाए रखूँगा, इस कारण तेरे दास को तेरे सम्मुख प्रार्थना करने का हियाव हुआ है।
26 Now, therefore, O Yahweh, thou, art God, —therefore hast thou spoken concerning thy servant this goodness.
२६और अब हे यहोवा तू ही परमेश्वर है, और तूने अपने दास को यह भलाई करने का वचन दिया है;
27 Now, therefore, let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be unto times age-abiding before thee, —for, thou O Yahweh, hast blessed, and it is to be blessed unto times age-abiding.
२७और अब तूने प्रसन्न होकर, अपने दास के घराने पर ऐसी आशीष दी है, कि वह तेरे सम्मुख सदैव बना रहे, क्योंकि हे यहोवा, तू आशीष दे चुका है, इसलिए वह सदैव आशीषित बना रहे।”
