1 Chronicles 16
1 So they brought in the ark of God, and placed it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it, —and they brought near ascending-sacrifices and peace-offerings, before God.
Und [2. Sam. 6,17] sie brachten die Lade Gottes hinein, und stellten sie innerhalb des Zeltes, das David für sie aufgeschlagen hatte. Und sie brachten Brandopfer und Friedensopfer dar vor Gott.
2 And, when David had made an end of offering the ascending-sacrifices, and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people, in the name of Yahweh.
Und als David das Opfern der Brandopfer und der Friedensopfer beendigt hatte, segnete er das Volk im Namen Jehovas;
3 And he apportioned, to every one of Israel, both man and woman, —to every one, a loaf of bread, and a sweet drink, and a raisin cake.
und er verteilte an ganz Israel, vom Manne bis zum Weibe, an jeden einen Laib Brot und einen Trunk Wein [And.: eine Fleischspende] und einen Rosinenkuchen.
4 And he placed before the ark of Yahweh certain of the Levites, as attendants, —and to celebrate, and to give thanks and render praise, unto Yahweh, God of Israel;
Und er bestellte vor die Lade Jehovas einige von den Leviten als Diener, daß sie Jehovas, des Gottes Israels, gedächten [d. h. preisend gedächten] und ihn priesen [O. ihm dankten] und rühmten:
5 Asaph the chief, and, second to him, Zechariah, —Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of harps, and with lyres, and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud:
Asaph, das Haupt, und Sekarja, den zweiten nach ihm, Jeghiel [Wahrsch. zu l.: Jaasiel; vergl. Kap. 15,18] und Schemiramoth und Jeghiel und Mattithja und Eliab und Benaja und Obed-Edom und Jeghiel, mit Harfinstrumenten und mit Lauten; und Asaph, mit Cymbeln laut klingend;
6 and Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests, —with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.
und Benaja und Jachasiel, die Priester, mit Trompeten, beständig vor der Lade des Bundes Gottes.
7 On that day, then, David gave [these songs] in chief, to give thanks unto Yahweh, —through Asaph, and his brethren: —
Damals, an jenem Tage, trug David zum ersten Male Asaph und seinen Brüdern auf, Jehova zu preisen:
8 Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his name, Make known among the peoples, his doings;
Preiset [Vergl. Ps. 105,1-15] Jehova, rufet seinen Namen an, machet kund unter den Völkern seine Taten!
9 Sing ye to him, Make music unto him, Speak ye of all his wonders.
Singet ihm, singet ihm Psalmen; [Eig. singspielet ihm] sinnet über [O. redet von] alle seine Wunderwerke!
10 Boast yourselves in his holy name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.
Rühmet euch seines heiligen Namens! es freue sich das Herz derer, die Jehova suchen!
11 Search out Yahweh, and his power, Seek diligently his face, at all times.
Trachtet nach Jehova und seiner Stärke, suchet sein Angesicht beständig!
12 Remember his wonders which he hath done, His splendid deeds, and the just decisions of his mouth.
Gedenket seiner Wunderwerke, die er getan hat, seiner Wunderzeichen und der Gerichte [O. Urteilssprüche; anderswo: Rechte. So auch v 14] seines Mundes!
13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, sons of Jacob his chosen ones:
Du Same Israels, sein Knecht, ihr Söhne Jakobs, seine Auserwählten!
14 Yahweh himself, is our God, through all the land, are his just decisions.
Er, Jehova, ist unser Gott; seine Gerichte sind auf der ganzen Erde.
15 Remember yea to times age-abiding, his covenant, the word he hath commanded, to a thousand generations;
Gedenket ewiglich seines Bundes, des Wortes, das er geboten hat, auf tausend Geschlechter hin,
16 Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;
den er gemacht hat mit Abraham, und seines Eides, den er Isaak geschworen hat. [W. seines Eides an Isaak]
17 And confirmed it, unto Jacob, for a statute, unto Israel, as a covenant age-abiding:
Und er stellte ihn Jakob zur Satzung, Israel zum ewigen Bunde,
18 Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, as your inherited portion:
indem er sprach: Dir will ich das Land Kanaan geben als Schnur eures Erbteils;
19 While, as yet, ye were men who could be counted, a very few, and sojourners therein:
als ihr ein zählbares Häuflein [Eig. eine zählbare Mannschaft] waret, gar wenige und Fremdlinge darin.
20 And they wandered from nation to nation, and from one kingdom, to another people:
Und sie wanderten von Nation zu Nation und von einem Reiche zu einem anderen Volke.
21 He suffered no man to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—kings!
Er ließ niemand zu, sie zu bedrücken, und ihretwegen strafte er Könige:
22 Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.
"Tastet meine Gesalbten nicht an, und meinen Propheten tut nichts Übles!"
23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, Tell the tidings, from day to day, of his salvation:
Singet [Ps. 96] Jehova, ganze Erde! Verkündet von Tag zu Tag seine Rettung!
24 Recount, among the nations, his glory, among all the peoples, his wonders.
Erzählet unter den Nationen seine Herrlichkeit, unter allen Völkern seine Wundertaten!
25 For great is Yahweh, and worthy to be mightily praised, and to be revered is he above all gods;
Denn groß ist Jehova und sehr zu loben, und furchtbar ist er über alle Götter.
26 For, all the gods of the peoples, are things of nought, but, Yahweh, made, the heavens.
Denn alle Götter der Völker sind Nichtigkeiten, [O. Götzen] aber Jehova hat die Himmel gemacht.
27 Praise and majesty, are before him, Strength and joy, are in his dwelling-place.
Majestät und Pracht sind vor seinem Angesicht, Stärke und Freude in seiner Wohnstätte.
28 Give to Yahweh, ye families of the peoples, Give to Yahweh, glory and strength:
Gebet Jehova, ihr Völkerstämme, gebet Jehova Herrlichkeit und Stärke!
29 Give to Yahweh, the glory of his name, —Bring ye a present, and enter before him, Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness:
Gebet Jehova die Herrlichkeit seines Namens; bringet eine Opfergabe und kommet vor sein Angesicht; betet Jehova an in heiliger Pracht!
30 Tremble at his presence, all the earth, But the world, shall be established, it shall not be shaken.
Erzittert vor ihm, ganze Erde! Auch steht der Erdkreis fest, er wird nicht wanken.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth exult, Let them say among the nations, Yahweh, hath become king!
Es freue sich der Himmel, und es frohlocke die Erde! und man spreche unter den Nationen: Jehova regiert!
32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof, Let the field leap for joy, and all that is therein:
Es brause das Meer und seine Fülle! es frohlocke das Gefilde und alles, was darauf ist!
33 Then, shall shout in triumph, the trees of the forest, before Yahweh, for he is coming, to judge the earth.
Dann werden jubeln die Bäume des Waldes vor Jehova; denn er kommt, die Erde zu richten!
34 Give ye thanks unto Yahweh, For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
Preiset [O. Danket] Jehova, denn er ist gütig, denn seine Güte währt ewiglich!
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us and deliver us, from among the nations, —that we may give thanks unto thy holy name, that we may triumph aloud in thy praise.
Und sprechet: Rette uns, Gott unserer Rettung, und sammle und befreie uns aus den Nationen; daß wir deinen heiligen Namen preisen, daß wir uns rühmen deines Lobes!
36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from one age even to another age. Then said all the people, Amen, And gave praise to Yahweh.
Gepriesen sei Jehova, der Gott Israels, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Und alles Volk sprach: Amen! und lobte Jehova.
37 So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, Asaph and his brethren, —to be in attendance before the ark continually, for the duty of a day on its day;
Und David [W. er] ließ daselbst, vor der Lade des Bundes Jehovas, Asaph und seine Brüder, um beständig vor der Lade zu dienen nach der täglichen Gebühr;
38 and Obed-edom with his brethren, sixty-eight, —and Obed-edom son of Jedithun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;
und Obed-Edom und seine [W. ihre; viell. ist ein Name ausgefallen] Brüder, 68; und Obed-Edom, den Sohn Jeduthuns, und Hosa, als Torhüter.
39 and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the habitation of Yahweh, —in the high place that was in Gibeon:
Zadok, den Priester aber, und seine Brüder, die Priester, ließ er vor der Wohnung Jehovas, auf der Höhe, die zu Gibeon ist,
40 to offer ascending-sacrifices unto Yahweh, upon the altar of ascending-sacrifice, —continually, morning and evening, —even according to all that is written in the law of Yahweh, which he commanded concerning Israel;
um Jehova Brandopfer zu opfern auf dem Brandopferaltar beständig, des Morgens und des Abends, und zwar nach allem, was in dem Gesetz Jehovas geschrieben steht, das er Israel geboten hat;
41 and, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest of the chosen ones, who were distinguished by name, —to give thanks unto Yahweh, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness!
und mit ihnen Heman und Jeduthun und die übrigen Auserlesenen, welche mit Namen angegeben waren, um Jehova zu preisen, [O. zu danken] daß seine Güte ewiglich währt;
42 And, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, [with] the trumpets, and the cymbals, for sounding aloud, and the instruments for the songs of God, —and the sons of Jeduthun, for the gate.
und mit ihnen, mit Heman und Jeduthun, waren Trompeten und Cymbeln für die, welche laut spielten, und die Musikinstrumente Gottes; und die Söhne Jeduthuns waren für das Tor.
43 And all the people departed, every man to his house, —and David went round, to bless his own household.
Und das ganze Volk ging hin, ein jeder nach seinem Hause; und David wandte sich, um sein Haus zu segnen. [O. zu begrüßen]
