< 1 Chronicles 14 >
1 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers unto David, and timber of cedars, with masons and artificers, to build for him a house.
Afei, Tirohene Huram somaa abɔfoɔ ne aboɔ adansifoɔ ne nnua dwumfoɔ kɔɔ Dawid nkyɛn sɛ, wɔnkɔsi ahemfie mma no. Afei, Huram sane de ntweneduro nnua a wɔbɛpae kɔeɛ.
2 So David perceived, that Yahweh, had confirmed him, as king over Israel, —that his kingship was exalted, for the sake of his people Israel.
Na Dawid hunuu sɛ Awurade de no asi Israel so ɔhene, na ɛsiane Israel enti, wayɛ nʼahennie kɛseɛ.
3 And David took more wives, in Jerusalem, —and David begat more sons and daughters.
Afei, Dawid waree mmaa bebree wɔ Yerusalem, na ɔwowoo mmammarima ne mmammaa bebree.
4 Now, these, are the names of them who were born, whom he had in Jerusalem, —Shammua and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon;
Dawid mmammarima a wɔwoo wɔn Yerusalem no ne Samua, Sobab, Natan ne Salomo,
5 and Ibhar and Elishua, and Elpelet;
Yibhar, Elisua, ne Elifelet,
6 and Nogah and Nepheg, and Japhia;
Noga, Nefeg ne Yafia,
7 and Elishama and Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
Elisama, Beeliada ne Elifelet.
8 And, when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek to secure David, —and David, hearing, went out against them.
Ɛberɛ a Filistifoɔ tee sɛ wɔasra Dawid ngo ama wadi Israel nyinaa so ɔhene no, wɔboaboaa wɔn akodɔm nyinaa ano sɛ, wɔrebɛkye no. Na wɔka kyerɛɛ Dawid sɛ wɔreba ne so, enti ɔno nso ne ne mmarima firii kuro no mu kɔhyiaa wɔn.
9 Now, the Philistines, had come and spread themselves out, in the vale of Rephaim.
Na Filistifoɔ no abɛduru Refaim bɔnhwa mu, asɛe hɔ pasaa.
10 Then David asked of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into my hand? And Yahweh said to him, Go up, and I will deliver them into thy hand.
Enti, Dawid bisaa Onyankopɔn sɛ, “Mempue na me ne Filistifoɔ no nkɔko? Wode wɔn bɛhyɛ me nsa anaa?” Awurade buaa sɛ, “Aane, wo ne wɔn nkɔko, na mɛma woadi wɔn so nkonim.”
11 So they came up in Baal-perazim, and David smote them there, and David said, God hath broken forth against mine enemies by my hand, like the breaking forth of waters, —For this cause, called they the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
Enti, Dawid ne nʼakodɔm kɔɔ Baal-Perasim kɔdii Filistifoɔ no so wɔ hɔ. Dawid teaam sɛ, “Onyankopɔn ayɛ! Ɔnam me so ama mabɔ awura mʼatamfoɔ mu te sɛ nsuyire a ano yɛ den.” Enti, wɔtoo beaeɛ hɔ edin Baal-Perasim (a asekyerɛ ne sɛ “Awurade a ɔbɔ wura mu”).
12 And they left their gods there, —and David gave the word, and they were burned up in fire.
Filistifoɔ no gyaa wɔn ahoni nyinaa hɔ enti, Dawid hyɛ maa wɔhyee ne nyinaa.
13 And the Philistines yet again spread themselves out in the vale.
Nanso, ankyɛre biara, Filistifoɔ no sane baa bɔnhwa no mu bɛsɛee hɔ.
14 So David, asked again, of God, and God said to him, Thou shalt not go up after them, —get thee round, away from them, so shalt thou come in upon them, over against the mulberry-trees;
Dawid bisaa Onyankopɔn deɛ ɔnyɛ bio. Onyankopɔn buaa sɛ, “Nkɔ tee nkɔto nhyɛ wɔn so. Mmom, fa wɔn ho kɔsi wɔn akyi na monto nhyɛ wɔn so wɔ baabi a ɛbɛn baka nnua no.
15 and it shall be, when thou hearest a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, then, shalt thou go forth into the battle, —for God will have gone forth before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
Na sɛ mote nnyegyeeɛ bi te sɛ nnipa bi a wɔrebɔ nsra nan ase wɔ baka nnua no atifi a, monto nhyɛ wɔn so. Ɛno na ɛbɛyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ a ɛkyerɛ sɛ, Onyankopɔn adi mo anim rekɔka Filistifoɔ no agu.”
16 So David did as God commanded him, —and they smote the host of the Philistines, from Gibeon even unto Gezer.
Enti, Dawid yɛɛ deɛ Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ no sɛ ɔnyɛ no, na ɔkaa Filistifoɔ akodɔm no guiɛ firi Gibeon de kɔsii Geser.
17 And the name of David went forth, throughout all the lands, —and, Yahweh, put the dread of him upon all the nations.
Na Dawid edin hyetaa baabiara, na Awurade maa aman no nyinaa suroo Dawid.
