< 1 Chronicles 14 >

1 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers unto David, and timber of cedars, with masons and artificers, to build for him a house.
Kabaka Kiramu ow’e Ttuulo n’atuma ababaka ne batwala emivule, ne bagenda n’abazimbi b’amayinja, n’ababazzi eri Dawudi okumuzimbira olubiri.
2 So David perceived, that Yahweh, had confirmed him, as king over Israel, —that his kingship was exalted, for the sake of his people Israel.
Awo Dawudi n’ategeera nga Mukama amunywezezza okuba kabaka wa Isirayiri, era nga n’obwakabaka bwe bwagulumizibwa nnyo olw’abantu ba Mukama Isirayiri.
3 And David took more wives, in Jerusalem, —and David begat more sons and daughters.
Dawudi ne yeeyongera okuwasa abakazi abalala mu Yerusaalemi, ne bamuzaalira abaana abalala bangi aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
4 Now, these, are the names of them who were born, whom he had in Jerusalem, —Shammua and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon;
Amannya g’abaana abaamuzaalirwa ge gaano: Sammuwa, ne Sobabu, ne Nasani, ne Sulemaani,
5 and Ibhar and Elishua, and Elpelet;
ne Ibukali, ne Eriswa, ne Erupereti,
6 and Nogah and Nepheg, and Japhia;
ne Noga, ne Nefegi, ne Yafiya,
7 and Elishama and Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
ne Erisaama, ne Beeriyadda, ne Erifereti.
8 And, when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek to secure David, —and David, hearing, went out against them.
Awo Abafirisuuti bwe baawulira nti Dawudi yafukibwako amafuta okuba kabaka wa Isirayiri yenna, ne bambuka okugenda okumunoonya, naye Dawudi n’akiwulirako era n’agenda okubatabaala.
9 Now, the Philistines, had come and spread themselves out, in the vale of Rephaim.
Abafirisuuti baali bazze nga bazinze ekiwonvu Lefayimu;
10 Then David asked of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into my hand? And Yahweh said to him, Go up, and I will deliver them into thy hand.
Dawudi ne yeebuuza ku Mukama nti, “Ŋŋende ntabaale Abafirisuuti? Onoobagabula mu mukono gwange?” Mukama n’amuddamu nti, “Genda, kubanga nnaabagabula mu mukono gwo.”
11 So they came up in Baal-perazim, and David smote them there, and David said, God hath broken forth against mine enemies by my hand, like the breaking forth of waters, —For this cause, called they the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
Awo Dawudi n’ayambuka ne basajja be e Baaluperazimu, n’atabaala Abafirisuuti n’abawangula. N’ayogera nti, “Katonda awangudde abalabe bange n’omukono gwe, ng’amazzi bwe gawaguza.” Era ekifo ekyo kyekyava kituumibwa Baaluperazimu.
12 And they left their gods there, —and David gave the word, and they were burned up in fire.
Abafirisuuti baali balese awo balubaale baabwe be beekolera, Dawudi n’alagira okwokya balubaale abo.
13 And the Philistines yet again spread themselves out in the vale.
Abafirisuuti ne badda, ne bazinda ekiwonvu.
14 So David, asked again, of God, and God said to him, Thou shalt not go up after them, —get thee round, away from them, so shalt thou come in upon them, over against the mulberry-trees;
Awo Dawudi n’addamu ne yeebuuza ku Mukama, Mukama n’amuddamu nti, “Tobatabaalirawo, naye beetooloole, obalumbe ng’obafuluma mu maaso g’emitugunda.
15 and it shall be, when thou hearest a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, then, shalt thou go forth into the battle, —for God will have gone forth before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
Awo bw’onoowulira eddoboozi ery’okukumba waggulu mu mitugunda, onootabaala, kubanga ekyo kinaategeeza nti Katonda akukulembedde okuzikiriza eggye ly’Abafirisuuti.”
16 So David did as God commanded him, —and they smote the host of the Philistines, from Gibeon even unto Gezer.
Dawudi n’akola nga Mukama bwe yamulagira, ne bazikiriza eggye ly’Abafirisuuti, okuva e Gibyoni okutuuka e Gezeri.
17 And the name of David went forth, throughout all the lands, —and, Yahweh, put the dread of him upon all the nations.
Awo ettutumo lya Dawudi ne libuna ensi zonna, Mukama n’aleetera amawanga gonna okutya Dawudi.
