1 Chronicles 14
1 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers unto David, and timber of cedars, with masons and artificers, to build for him a house.
Подир това тирският цар Хирам прати посланици при Давида и кедрови дървета, зидари и дърводелци, за да му построят къща.
2 So David perceived, that Yahweh, had confirmed him, as king over Israel, —that his kingship was exalted, for the sake of his people Israel.
И Давид позна, че Господ го бе утвърдил цар над Израиля, защото царството му се възвиси на високо заради людете Му Израиля,
3 And David took more wives, in Jerusalem, —and David begat more sons and daughters.
И Давид си взе още жени в Ерусалим; и Давид роди още синове и дъщери.
4 Now, these, are the names of them who were born, whom he had in Jerusalem, —Shammua and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon;
И ето имената на чадата, които му се родиха в Ерусалим: Самуа, Совав, Натан, Соломон,
5 and Ibhar and Elishua, and Elpelet;
Евар, Елисуа, Елфалет,
6 and Nogah and Nepheg, and Japhia;
Ногах, Нефег, Авия,
7 and Elishama and Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
Елисама, Веелиада и Елифалет.
8 And, when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek to secure David, —and David, hearing, went out against them.
А когато филистимците чуха, че Давид бил помазан за цар над целия Израил, всичките филистимци възлязоха да търсят Давида; а Давид, като чу за това, излезе против тях.
9 Now, the Philistines, had come and spread themselves out, in the vale of Rephaim.
И тъй филистимците дойдоха та нахлуха в долината Рафаим.
10 Then David asked of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into my hand? And Yahweh said to him, Go up, and I will deliver them into thy hand.
Тогава Давид се допита до Бога, казвайки: Да възляза ли против филистимците? ще ги предадеш ли в ръката ми? И Господ му отговори: Възлез, защото ще ги предам в ръката ти.
11 So they came up in Baal-perazim, and David smote them there, and David said, God hath broken forth against mine enemies by my hand, like the breaking forth of waters, —For this cause, called they the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
И тъй, те отидоха на Ваал-ферасим, и там Давид ги порази, Тогава рече Давид: Бог избухна чрез моята ръка върху неприятелите ми, както избухват водите. За туй, онова място се нарече Ваал-ферасим
12 And they left their gods there, —and David gave the word, and they were burned up in fire.
И филистимците, оставиха там боговете си; а Давид заповяда, та ги изгориха с огън.
13 And the Philistines yet again spread themselves out in the vale.
И филистимците пак нахлуха в долината.
14 So David, asked again, of God, and God said to him, Thou shalt not go up after them, —get thee round, away from them, so shalt thou come in upon them, over against the mulberry-trees;
Затова Давид пак се допита до Бога; и Бог му каза: Не възлизай против тях, но ги заобиколи, та ги нападни отсреща черниците.
15 and it shall be, when thou hearest a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, then, shalt thou go forth into the battle, —for God will have gone forth before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
И когато чуеш шум, като от маршируване по върховете на черниците, тогава да излезеш пред на бой, защото Бог ще излезе пред тебе да порази филистимското множество.
16 So David did as God commanded him, —and they smote the host of the Philistines, from Gibeon even unto Gezer.
И Давид стори според както му заповяда Бог; и поразяваха филистимското множество от Гаваон дори до Гезер.
17 And the name of David went forth, throughout all the lands, —and, Yahweh, put the dread of him upon all the nations.
И Давидовото име се прочу по всичките земи; и Господ нанесе страх от него върху всичките народи.
