1 Chronicles 12
1 Now these, are they who came unto David, to Ziklag, he yet being shut up, because of Saul son of Kish, —and, they, were among the heroes, helpers in the war;
Estos son los que se afiliaron a David en Siceleg, cuando estaba alejado de la presencia de Saúl, hijo de Cis. Estos son también del número de los valientes que le ayudaron en la guerra.
2 armed with the bow, using right hand or left with stones, and with arrows in the bow, —of the brethren of Saul, out of Benjamin:
Manejaban el arco, y eran diestros en (arrojar) piedras con la mano derecha y con la izquierda, y saetas con el arco. Eran parientes de Saúl, benjaminitas.
3 the chief, Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, —and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite;
El principal era Ahiéser, luego Joás, hijos de Semaá gabaatita; Jesiel y Pélet, hijos de Azmávet; Beracá; Jehú anatotita;
4 and Ishmaiah, the Gibeonite, a hero among the thirty, and over the thirty, —and Jeremiah and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad, the Gederathite;
Ismaías gabaonita, valiente entre los treinta, y jefe de los treinta; Jeremías, Jahaziel, Johanán, Jozabad gederatita;
5 Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah, and Shephatiah, the Haruphite;
Eluzai, Jerimot, Bealías, Semanas, Sefatías harufita;
6 Elkanah and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
Elcaná, Isaías, Azarel, Joéser y Jasobeam, coreítas;
7 and Joelah and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham, of Gedor.
Joelá y Zebadías, hijos de Jeroham, de Gedor.
8 And, of the Gadites, there separated themselves unto David, to the stronghold towards the desert, heroes of valour, men of war, for battle, men that could handle shield and spear, —and, faces of lions, were their faces, and, like gazelles upon the mountains, were they, for swiftness:
Se separaron también algunos hombres valientes de los gaditas, para (unirse) con David en la fortaleza del desierto, soldados aptos para la guerra, que manejaban escudo y lanza. Sus rostros eran como rostros de leones, y eran ligeros como las gacelas de los montes.
9 Ezer, the chief, Obadiah, the second, —Eliab, the third;
Su jefe era Éser; Obadías, el segundo; Eliab, el tercero;
10 Mashmannah, the fourth, Jeremiah, the fifth;
Mismaná, el cuarto; Jeremías, el quinto;
11 Attai, the sixth, Eliel the seventh;
Atai, el sexto; Eliel, el séptimo;
12 Johanan, the eighth, Elzabad, the ninth;
Johanán, el octavo; Elzabad, el nono;
13 Jeremiah, the tenth, Machbannai, the eleventh.
Jeremias, el décimo; Macbanai, el undécimo.
14 These, were of the sons of Gad, chiefs of the host, —one to a hundred, the least, and, the greatest, to a thousand.
Estos eran de los hijos de Gad, jefes del ejército; el menor de ellos era capaz de atacar a cien hombres, y el mayor a mil.
15 These, are they who passed over the Jordan, in the first month, when, it, was full, over all its banks, —and they put to flight all them of the vales, to the east and to the west.
Estos fueron los que atravesaron el Jordán en el mes primero, cuando suele desbordarse por todas sus riberas, y pusieron en fuga a todos los habitantes de los valles al oriente y al occidente.
16 And there came, of the sons of Benjamin, and Judah, as far as the stronghold, unto David.
Asimismo algunos de los hijos de Benjamín y de Judá vinieron a la fortaleza, donde estaba David.
17 And David went forth to meet them, and responded, and said to them, If, peaceably, ye are come unto me, to help me, I shall have towards you, a heart for unity, —but, if to betray me to mine adversaries, there being no violence in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and rebuke!
David se presentó delante de ellos, y tomando la palabra, les dijo: “Si venís a mí con intenciones pacíficas para ayudarme, mi corazón se unirá con vosotros; pero si es para engañarme y entregarme a mis enemigos, siendo mis manos limpias de maldad, ¡véalo el Dios de nuestros padres, y sea juez!”
18 Then, the spirit, clothed Amasai, chief of the thirty, Thine, O David, Yea, with, thee, O son of Jesse! Prosperity, prosperity to thee, And prosperity to thy helpers, For thy God, hath helped thee: So David accepted them, and set them among the chiefs of the band.
Entonces el Espíritu revistió a Amasai, jefe de los treinta (y dijo): “¡Tuyos somos, oh David; y contigo estamos, hijo de Isaí! ¡Paz, paz a ti, y paz a cuantos te ayuden! Pues a ti te ayuda tu Dios.” Y David los recibió, y los puso entre los jefes del ejército.
19 And, of Manasseh, there fell away unto David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they helped them not, —for the lords of the Philistines advisedly sent him away, saying, At the price of our heads, he might fall away to his master, Saul.
También de Manasés se unieron algunos con David, cuando este juntamente con los filisteos hizo guerra contra Saúl, bien que no ayudó a estos; pues los príncipes de los filisteos, habido consejo, lo despidieron, diciendo: “Se pasará a Saúl, su señor, y arriesgaremos nuestras cabezas.”
20 When he went into Ziklag, there fell away unto him, of Manasseh, Adnah and Jozabad, and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad, and Elihu and Zillethai, —chiefs of the thousands that pertained to Manasseh;
Así cuando regresó a Siceleg, algunos de los hijos de Manasés se pasaron a él: Adná, Jozabad, Jediael, Micael, Jozabad, Eliú y Silletai, jefes militares de Manasés.
21 and, they, helped with David, against the [marauding] band, for, heroes of valour, were they all, —and they became captains in the host;
Estos ayudaron a David contra las bandas, porque todos eran hombres valientes y vinieron a ser jefes del ejército.
22 for, from day to day, there came unto David, to help him, —until it was a great camp, like a camp of God.
En aquel tiempo día por día acudían gentes a David para ayudarle, hasta que el ejército llegó a ser grande, como un ejército de Dios.
23 And, these, are the numbers of the chiefs armed for war, they came unto David, to Hebron, —to turn round the kingdom of Saul unto him, according to the bidding of Yahweh:
Estas son las cifras de los destacamentos que armados para la guerra vinieron a David, a Hebrón, para transferirle el reino de Saúl, conforme a la orden de Yahvé.
24 Sons of Judah, bearers of shield and spear, six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
De los hijos de Judá, armados de escudo y lanza, seis mil ochocientos, listos para la guerra.
25 Of sons of Simeon, heroes of valour for the war, seven thousand, and one hundred.
De los hijos de Simeón, hombres valerosos para la guerra, siete mil cien.
26 Of the sons of Levi, four thousand, and six hundred.
De los hijos de Leví, cuatro mil seiscientos.
27 And Jehoiada, was chief ruler for Aaron, —and, with him, three thousand and seven hundred;
Y con Joiadá, jefe de (la casa de) Aarón, otros tres mil setecientos;
28 and Zadok, a young man, a hero of valour, —and the house of his father, captains twenty and two.
con Sadoc, joven y valeroso, veinte y dos jefes de su casa paterna.
29 And, of the sons of Benjamin, brethren of Saul, three thousand, —and, hitherto, the greater part of them, had been keeping the charge of the house of Saul.
De los hijos de Benjamín, hermanos de Saúl, tres mil; porque hasta entonces la mayor parte de ellos guardaba fidelidad a la casa de Saúl.
30 And, of the sons of Ephraim, twenty thousand, and eight hundred, —heroes of valour, men of renown, to their ancestral house.
De los hijos de Efraím, veinte mil ochocientos, hombres valientes, famosos en sus casas paternas.
31 And, of the half tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, who were distinguished by name, coming in to make David king.
De la media tribu de Manasés, diez y ocho mil, nominalmente designados para ir a proclamar rey a David.
32 And, of the sons of Issachar, such as were of good understanding of the times, to know what Israel, should do, their chiefs, were two hundred, and, all their brethren, were at their bidding.
De los hijos de Isacar, que conocían los tiempos y sabían lo que Israel debía hacer, doscientos jefes, y todos sus hermanos bajo sus órdenes.
33 Of Zebulun—such as were ready to go forth in host, expert for battle with all weapons of war, fifty thousand, —and for setting in array, not of two minds!
De Zabulón, cincuenta mil, aptos para salir a campaña, preparados para dar batalla y provistos de todas las armas de guerra para entrar en combate con ánimo resuelto.
34 And, of Naphtali, a thousand captains, —and, with them, with shield and spear, thirty-seven thousand.
De Neftalí, mil jefes, y con ellos treinta y siete mil hombres con escudo y lanza.
35 And, of the Danite, expert for war, twenty-eight thousand, and six hundred.
De los Danitas, listos para la guerra veinte y ocho mil seiscientos.
36 And, of Asher, such as were ready to go forth in host to set in array for battle, forty thousand.
De Aser, aptos para salir a campaña y preparados para la guerra, cuarenta mil.
37 And, from over the Jordan, of the Reubenites and Gadites and half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of weapons of war for battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.
Y de la otra parte del Jordán, de los rubenitas, de los gaditas y de la media tribu de Manasés, provistos de todos los pertrechos de guerra para la batalla, ciento veinte mil.
38 All these, being men of war, expert in setting in battle-array, with a perfect heart, came to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel, —moreover also, all the rest of Israel, were of one heart to make David king.
Todos estos hombres de guerra, formados en orden de batalla, vinieron con corazón sincero a Hebrón, para proclamar a David rey sobre todo Israel; y todo el resto de Israel era de un mismo sentir para hacer rey a David.
39 So they were there, with David, three days, eating and drinking, —for their brethren had made preparation for them.
Estuvieron allí con David tres días, comiendo y bebiendo; porque sus hermanos les habían preparado comida.
40 Moreover also, they who were near of kin unto them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, were bringing bread, on asses and on camels and on mules and on oxen, meal-food, cakes of figs and cakes of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep—in abundance, —for there was joy Israel.
Además los vecinos de ellos, hasta Isacar, Zabulón y Neftalí, traían víveres en asnos, camellos, mulos y bueyes; provisiones de harina, tortas de higos y pasas, vino, aceite, ganado mayor y menor en abundancia; pues reinaba alegría en Israel.
