1 Chronicles 10
1 Now, the Philistines, fought against Israel, —and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and the wounded fell in Mount Gilboa.
| و فلسطينيان با اسرائيل جنگ کردند، و مردان اسرائيل از حضور فلسطينيان فرار کردند و در کوه جِلبُوع کشته شده، افتادند. | ۱ |
2 And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons, —and the Philistines smote Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, sons of Saul.
| و فلسطينيان شاؤل و پسرانش را به سختي تعاقب نمودند، و فلسطينيان پسران شاؤل يوناتان و ابيناداب و مَلکيشوع را کشتند. | ۲ |
3 And the battle, went sore, against Saul, and the archers discovered him with the bow, —and he was terrified because of the archers.
| و جنگ بر شاؤل سخت شد و تيراندازان او را دريافتند و از تيراندازان مجروح شد. | ۳ |
4 Therefore said Saul unto his armour-bearer, Draw out thy sword and thrust me through therewith, lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armour-bearer would not, for he feared greatly, —so then Saul took the sword, and fell upon it.
| و شاؤل به سلاحدار خود گفت: «شمشير را بکش و به من فرو بر، مبادا اين نامختونان بيايند و مرا افتضاح کنند.» اما سلاحدارش نخواست زيرا که بسيار مي ترسيد؛ پس شاؤل شمشير را گرفته بر آن افتاد. | ۴ |
5 And, when his armour-bearer saw that Saul was dead, then, he also, fell upon the sword, and died.
| و سلاحدارش چون شاؤل را مرده ديد، او نيز بر شمشير افتاده، بمُرد. | ۵ |
6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and, all his house, together, died.
| و شاؤل مُرد و سه پسرش و تمامي اهل خانه اش همراه وي مردند. | ۶ |
7 And, when all the men of Israel that were in the vale saw, that they had fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then forsook they their cities, and fled, and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
| و چون جميع مردان اسرائيل که در وادي بودند، اين را ديدند که لشکر منهزم شده، و شاؤل و پسرانش مرده اند، ايشان نيز شهرهاي خود را ترک کرده، گريختند و فلسطينيان آمده، در آنها قرار گرفتند. | ۷ |
8 And it came to pass, on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, —that they found Saul, and his sons, lying prostrate in Mount Gilboa.
| و روز ديگر واقع شد که چون فلسطينيان آمدند تا کشتگان را برهنه نمايند، شاؤل و پسرانش را در کوه جِلبُوع افتاده يافتند. | ۸ |
9 So they stript him, and took his head, and his armour, —and sent throughout the land of the Philistines round about, to publish it to their idols, and to the people.
| پس او را برهنه ساخته، سَر و اسلحه اش را گرفتند و آنها را به زمين فلسطينيان به هر طرف فرستادند تا به بتها و قوم خود مژده برسانند. | ۹ |
10 And they put his armour, in the house of their gods, —but, his skull, fastened they up, in the house of Dagon.
| و اسلحه اش را در خانه خدايان خود گذاشتند و سرش را در خانه داجون به ديوار کوبيدند. | ۱۰ |
11 And, when all Jabesh-Gilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,
| و چون تمامي اهل يابيش جِلعاد آنچه را که فلسطينيان به شاؤل کرده بودند شنيدند، | ۱۱ |
12 then rose up all the men of valour, and took away the corpse of Saul, and the corpses of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, —and buried their bodies under the terebinth, in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
| جميع شجاعان برخاسته، جسد شاؤل و جسد هاي پسرانش را برداشته، آنها را به يابيش آورده، استخوانهاي ايشان را زير درخت بلوط که در يابيش است، دفن کردند و هفت روز روزه داشتند. | ۱۲ |
13 Thus died Saul, for his unfaithfulness wherewith he dealt unfaithfully against Yahweh, over the word of Yahweh, which he kept not, —and, also, in asking by necromancy when he desired to enquire;
| پس شاؤل به سبب خيانتي که به خداوند ورزيده بود مُرد، به جهت کلام خداوند که آن را نگاه نداشته بود، و از اين جهت نيز که از صاحبه اجنّه سؤال نموده بود. | ۱۳ |
14 and enquired not of Yahweh, wherefore he slew him, —and turned round the kingdom unto David, son of Jesse.
| و چونکه خداوند را نطلبيده بود، او را کُشت و سلطنت او را به داود بن يسَّي برگردانيد. | ۱۴ |
