Zephaniah 1
1 The word of the LORD which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.
১আমোনৰ পুত্র যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যোচিয়াৰ ৰাজত্বৰ সময়ত কুচীৰ পুত্র চফনিয়াৰ ওচৰলৈ যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য উপস্থিত হ’ল। কুচী আছিল গদলিয়াৰ পুত্র, গদলিয়া অমৰিয়াৰ পুত্র, অমৰিয়া হিষ্কিয়াৰ পুত্র।
2 I will utterly consume all things from off the face of the ground, saith the LORD.
২যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, “মই পৃথিৱীৰ বুকুৰ পৰা সকলোকে নিঃশেষ কৰি পেলাম।
3 I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the face of the ground, saith the LORD.
৩মানুহ আৰু পশু, আকাশৰ পক্ষী আৰু সমুদ্ৰৰ মাছবোৰক মই শেষ কৰি দিম। মই দুষ্টবোৰৰ পতন ঘটাম! পৃথিৱীৰ পৰা মই মানুহক উচ্ছন্ন কৰিম।
4 And I will stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, [and] the name of the Chemarim with the priests;
৪মই যিহূদাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে আৰু যিৰূচালেমৰ নিবাসীসকলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে মোৰ হাত মেলিম। মই এই দেশত থকা বাল দেৱতাৰ অৱশেষ আৰু প্রতিমা পূজাকাৰীসকলৰ সৈতে পুৰোহিতসকলৰ নাম লুপ্ত কৰিম;
5 and them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship, which swear to the LORD and swear by Malcam;
৫যিসকলে আকাশৰ বাহিনীবোৰক ঘৰৰ চালৰ ওপৰত উঠি প্রণাম কৰে আৰু যিসকলে যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে প্রণাম কৰি শপত খায়, অথচ পাছত মলকম দেৱতাৰ নামেৰেও শপত খাই প্রণিপাত কৰে, তেওঁলোকক মই নিঃশেষ কৰিম।
6 and them that are turned back from following the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired after him.
৬যিসকলে যিহোৱাৰ পাছত চলাৰ পৰা উলটি গৈছে আৰু তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ ইচ্ছাত চলা নাই নাইবা তেওঁৰ ইচ্ছা জানিবলৈও বিচাৰা নাই, সেই সকলোকে মই নিঃশেষ কৰিম।”
7 Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath sanctified his guests.
৭প্ৰভু যিহোৱাৰ উপস্থিতিত আপোনালোক নীৰবে থাকক; কিয়নো যিহোৱাই সোধ-বিচাৰ কৰা দিন ওচৰ চাপি আহিছে; কাৰণ যিহোৱাই এক যজ্ঞৰ আয়োজন কৰিছে; নিজৰ নিমন্ত্ৰিত লোকসকলক পবিত্ৰ কৰিলে।
8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s sons, and all such as are clothed with foreign apparel.
৮যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, “মোৰ সেই যজ্ঞৰ দিনা মই ৰাজ অধ্যক্ষসকলক, ৰাজপুত্রসকলক, আৰু বিদেশী পোছক পৰিহিত সকলো লোককে দণ্ড দিম।
9 And in that day I will punish all those that leap over the threshold, which fill their master’s house with violence and deceit.
৯যিসকলে জাঁপ দি দুৱাৰডলি পাৰ হয়, যিসকলে নিজৰ প্রভুৰ গৃহ হিংস্রতা আৰু ছলনাৰে পূৰ কৰে, সেই দিনা মই তেওঁলোক সকলোকে দণ্ড দিম।”
10 And in that day, saith the LORD, there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills.
১০যিহোৱাই কৈছে, “সেই দিনা মৎস্য-দ্বাৰৰ পৰা যন্ত্রণাৰ ক্রন্দন শুনা যাব; দ্বিতীয় বিভাগৰ পৰা বিলাপৰ শব্দ, পৰ্ব্বতবোৰৰ পৰা এক বৃহৎ শব্দ শুনা যাব।
11 Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the people of Canaan are undone: all they that were laden with sliver are cut off.
১১হে মকটেচৰ বাসিন্দাসকল, তোমালোকে বিলাপ কৰা; কিয়নো তোমালোকৰ সকলো ব্যৱসায়ী লোকক নিঃশেষ কৰা হ’ব; ৰূপ বৈ অনা সকলোকে নিঃশেষ কৰা হ’ব।
12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles; and I will punish the men that are settled on their lees, that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.
১২সেই সময়ত মই এটা চাকি ল’ম আৰু যিৰূচালেমৰ সকলো ঠাইতে বিচাৰিম; যিসকলে তেওঁলোকৰ দ্রাক্ষাৰসতে সন্তুষ্ট থাকে আৰু মনতে কয়, ‘যিহোৱাই মঙ্গল কি অমঙ্গল একোৱেই নকৰিব’ তেওঁলোকক দণ্ড দিম।
13 And their wealth shall become a spoil, and their houses a desolation: yea, they shall build houses, but shall not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but shall not drink the wine thereof.
১৩তেওঁলোকৰ সম্পদ লুট কৰা হ’ব, তেওঁলোকৰ ঘৰ-বাৰীবোৰ ধ্বংসস্থান হ’ব; এনে কি, তেওঁলোকে ঘৰ সাজিব, কিন্তু তাত বাস কৰিবলৈ নাপাব; দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰী পাতিব, কিন্তু দ্ৰাক্ষাৰস পান কৰিবলৈ নাপাব।
14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near and hasteth greatly, [even] the voice of the day of the LORD; the mighty man crieth there bitterly.
১৪যিহোৱাৰ সেই মহৎ দিন নিকটৱর্তী; ওচৰ চাপি আহিছে আৰু অতি বেগেৰে আহিছে! সৌৱা শুনা, সেয়া যিহোৱাৰ সেই দিনৰ শব্দ! তেতিয়া যোদ্ধাসকলে চিঞঁৰি চিঞঁৰি কান্দোনত ভাঙি পৰিব।
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
১৫সেই দিন হ’ব ক্ৰোধৰ দিন, অতি সঙ্কটময় আৰু ক্লেশৰ দিন, এক ধুমুহা আৰু ধ্বংসৰ দিন, ঘন অন্ধকাৰ আৰু হতাশাৰ দিন, মেঘাছন্ন আৰু উত্তাল তৰঙ্গৰ অন্ধকাৰৰ দিন,
16 a day of the trumpet and alarm, against the fenced cities, and against the high battlements.
১৬শিঙা-ধ্বনি আৰু ৰণনাদৰ দিন; সেই দিন গড়েৰে আবৃত নগৰবোৰৰ আৰু ওখ কোঁঠবোৰৰ বিপক্ষৰ দিন হ’ব!
17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung.
১৭মই লোকসকলৰ ওপৰত ভীষণ ক্লেশ আনিম; তেওঁলোকে অন্ধ মানুহৰ নিচিনাকৈ ফুৰিব, কাৰণ যিহোৱাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে তেওঁলোকে পাপ কৰিলে! তেওঁলোকৰ তেজ ধূলিৰ নিচিনাকৈ পেলাই দিয়া হ’ব! তেওঁলোকৰ দেহ গোবৰৰ নিচিনাকৈ মাটিত পৰি থাকিব।
18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make an end, yea, a terrible end, of all them that dwell in the land.
১৮যিহোৱাৰ ক্ৰোধৰ দিনা তেওঁলোকৰ ৰূপ বা সোণেও তেওঁলোকক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিব নোৱাৰিব; কিন্তু তেওঁৰ অন্তৰ্জ্বালাৰ তাপত গোটেই দেশ অগ্নিত গ্ৰাসিত হ’ব; কিয়নো পৃথিৱী নিবাসী সকলোকে তেওঁ নিঃশেষ কৰি দিব; হয়, ভয়ানকভাৱে সংহাৰ কৰিব।
